Trying out more Shoujo mangas ? You pick out the good ones. ZenxShirayuki is too obvious to happen.

If the story is good (and there isn't some ridiculous love triangle where a woman is shallow, incredibly manipulative and lusts after the "cool, dark, mysterious, bad boy" for her own personal reasons instead of actually loving him, while the guy is a murderous douche that's incredibly abusive towards her, tries to murder her, her friends, her family, and destroy her home, and she still is in "love with him", all the meanwhile the mc loves the girl that's turns out to be incredibly shallow, then it's retconned that he only loved her out of rivalry with the other guy, and gets basically forced to love someone he never even noticed out of pity and guilt) then I wouldn't mind reading it, shoujo or no.

I think I'll just follow BakaNeko-chan when it comes to shoujo, she seems to know the better ones *cough*AnY*cough*

Well I did my double review for The Snow White with Red Hair this week, it seems al ittle rushed cause I tried to talked about everything that happened in last week's episode and this week's, hopefully you guys find it good. 

 

My Review on Episodes 4 and 5:

woah... i'm a bit late in watching episode 5..i just finished watching it.

 

The episode was actually good, some small parts were missing but it isn't that big... its been so long since i read the manga so not totally sure. But i remember Shirayuki having fun with the soldiers and so as Shirayuki and Obi's meeting.

 

If i remember correctly there was a part in the manga were Obi was hiding from Zen, i believe its to hide the fact he came close to Shirayuki as he once threaten her or something along those lines.

 

Anyway my love for this series is starting to grow more.. There's really this great feeling of seeing one of your fave mangas being animated in a splendid way... it really shows if the animation studio respects the story. i hope the quality keeps up.

There's some mini omakes too so i wonder if they'll show those in some extra OVA...

Like lil Ryuu's moment with Zen.. the poor prince feeling a bit threaten by a 13 years old boy

 

 

Now that the older brother is here, the story should get more interesting.. and that just mean..................

I believe this is the time where we see once again THAT character lol.. but he actually reminds me of that fire tribe second son in Akatsuki no Yona... development developments..

Now now mixer.. i am sure youll be happy about whats coming. Zen x Shirayuki is actually a straightforward relationship. They are downright cute without being annoying.

Confession time: I'm really starting to like Obi, and I kind of ship Shirayuki more with him than with Zen... Now I've done it, lol.

Dont worry trang youre not alone on this. But this thought always leave me feeling a bit guilty lol. I like their moments together. This kinda reminds me of that old joke "Obi is a good boy".. now i hate that naruto reference..i admit it was funny during the old times tho.

The latter chapters gives me the vibe that Zen has an idea about Obi's feelings and that can be hard on him since he is aware of his loyalty to him. Im torn if i want the story to touch upon it directly or completely evades it.

our Zen is such a gentleman but still couldn't keep his hands off Shirayuki lol

 

 

i just finished watching ep6 and i felt a bit disappointed.. don't get me wrong its still good and i know the manga will always be more detailed than the anime but I fear that they will start to rush things now.. The good (and prolly bad also) about this manga is that even if i had read it for years already, i can still remember a lot of details it unlike in other shoujo mangas out there which i kinda mixed up as time goes. So thats probably one factor that affects my viewing of this anime. i want a jealous Zen animated lol

 

IMO they are trying to reach this certain "event"/"arc" to end the 1st season, or cut that arc in the middle to have it as a bait for season 2....so they might skip some details here and there.

 

anyone else here who reads the manga?? i wonder if i'm just being too nit-picky

Well the series is 12 episode long so they need to rush something, even though season 2 is announced. I'm pretty sure that Studio Bones will do a perfect job to end the series before a big arc, like they did with Noragami, I could understand that the last arc was a filler one..

Pretty sure that Zen X Shirayuki will happen, and I wholeheartedly support it, but I just prefer Obi's personality a bit more than that of Zen's as of right now...

But man, I do not want a love triangle to happen :( I'm sick of that trope in shoujos tbh, so pls kamisama, just let Shirayaki and Zen live happily ever after.
