My guess is because it was to be expected, and for me that wasn't Sakura considering she's much more than that. 

 

Another reason i could come up with is that people just don't care about Naruto anymore which I can understand.

Let's all laugh and be merry, for Gaiden has ended the most redundant, fan fiction-y, stupid way ever. 

 

Where is the lie... I honestly didn't expect it to be that bad. I mean, Sasuke going away again without explaining why? And even worse, Sasuke outright saying he only considers himself a part of the family because he's the biological father of Salad? Seriously, he outright said so. And then he denies Sakura a kiss, because...?! Not only didn't Kishi put at least a little of logic here, he didn't do a happy SS ending either - it's kittened up either way. 

 

Like the Sauce/Salad hug was actually pretty cute and at this moment I thought "Okay, if you had to end it with stupid SS happy ending, then fine, I don't care about OOC behavior anymore, at least make it nice". But he didn't lol.

 

Also I guess Sakura and Sauce explained everything to Salad after the dinner (in somebody else's house lol), but we shouldn't have to assume it. We should see it on page...

 

What bothers me the most - and I didn't see anyone mention it before - is that Karin says they (she and Suigetsu?) have to give Salad a new pair of glasses, because she outgrew "the last ones we gave her"... So again, does she mean her and Suigetsu? Because if she does, then... shouldn't Sui... like, you know... know that Karin only delivered Salad..? No..?    Eeeh, forget I said anything.

 

Btw no team Gai in the whole Gaiden. I don't know if I should be angry or happy.

 

There were some tiny good things in this chapter though - Ino appeared! And she interacted with Chouji, aww. I was so glad to see it. Also I know that Suigetsu asking if Karin was over Sauce now was simply a way to explain things to the reader, but still, my SuiKarin heart was so happy to see him do that. I know, I'm a SuiKarin trash, can't help it. Also they may be the only old characters with a somewhat important role in Gaiden that weren't runed by it.   Karin even improved bc she let Sauce go lol.

This last Chapter was the death nail for any sort of dignity Sakura had left. I'm still pissed Kishi took what was my Favorite Character and turned her into kittening Bella Swan from Twilight.

I know it's hard, but we must take Naruto for what it is now, not for what could/should have been, that is to say a Bad Soap Opera. The worse it gets the happier and more amused we should be. Because we now are reading something else, a fan fiction made by the author himself, a bad parody. Dark Humor definitely. So let's just take it as it is, a very very bad bad work, and this should be criticized, yes, but most importantly it should be read (I'm using the term loosely here, it's more it should be 'looked at') when we want a good laugh. 

 

For what regards the so called 'SS happy ending' I truly don't know how SS shippers can be happy with what Kishimoto gave them. I'm not being mocking at all, it's so underwhelming I would have been very upset if I had any inclination of wanting to see SS canon. I'm pretty sure he's trying for a 'japanese family' kind of vibe (with the 'so cool harsh but handsome and strong papa, and the caring but stern 'cause of tradition mama) , but really, he has failed so bad this spin-off has become a soap opera. That's why we should be amused, and that's also why I really for the life of me don't understand how in the name of heaven can SS be happy. This level of writing is kind of in-between two little kiddies playing house and a young fangirl's wank obsessing self-inserting fantasy full of 'Ohhh' trite plain bad shocking-value.

 

There are some interesting and well written, angst-fuelled SS fan fiction that are actually interesting (apparently angst has become the new black...) but how Kishimoto has handled SS is horrifying and the first that should be angry are the shippers. We, as the Others (the terrible ANTIS) can be only amused, because it's not what we wanted but it's so so so bad it has become comedy! The level of Mindf*ck in Naruto has surpassed Gintama, and that's why we should be happy. Kishi might sugarcoat it in pairings, fake-happy-families and false-seriousness but when I read Naruto now I'm as amused as I am when I watch '2 broke girls'. 

 

That's why I say be amused people, be happy, because we might have lost the so called pairing-wars but we won by default when Kishimoto ritualistically killed his whole manga. Naruto was a serious, compelling and interesting manga now it has become a parody. So let's read it for the LOLs, the worse it gets the better it is for us, because the manga has been ruined and we, the terrible ANTIs!, are the only one coming out of the wreckage soot-covered and laughing.

 

 

ps. It might be nice to remind the general audience that using logic is not permitted in this manga. Otherwise things would make even less sense that they make now.
