WHAT AM I READING?????

 

Kakashi, Naruto and Sasuke are the three heroes? Not Sakura?? They're being hailed as 'living legends' but not Sakura? What happened to the neo-Sannin? Did all Tsunade's Sage powers just transfer to Kakashi when he became Hokage?

 

God, I hate this so much.

 

I know.  That's exactly what I said.

 

You know, they are making it so easy to just ignore everything they're doing with this franchise, and even easier to imagine/believe whatever we want from about #690 on.

 

It's insane what they're doing.  It's like a Three Stooges episode.  And I hated the Stooges.

tbh, no surprise here... by classifying Sakura as one of the heroes, it would have meant to diminish Hinata in the role of heroine.

Really makes "The Real End" chapter that much more significant. Kishimoto must have known the train was already jumping its tracks.

No, but since Gaara will find love in his novel, it might mean he gets married and starts a family. We are just coming up with theories about his hypothetical children and their relations to the other kids

Well the only reason everyone is having kids is so Kishi can pair them up together.

Giving Gaara an love interest is the same thing as giving it to Sasuke/Kakashi and the rest of the paring kitten  Gaara's character was never about romance  its totally unnecessary its all an otaku shipping orgy kittenfest now 

I can't wait for Sakura's novel. It's going to be the best thing I read since 50 Shades.

Gaara was never portrayed as being asexual like Sasuke so I don't mind him finding a love interest.

What I'm more confused about is why they didn't show his wife and possible children in the epilogue if Kishi intended for Gaara to find love? I guess they wanted to to be a surprise saved for the novel

One rule in  writing if it isn't shown in the story or hinted then the love interest aspect isn't  there . Its not about whether Gaara is suitable or not  but about what is written from a literature aspect/pov   this is what we call an asspull  and its there only for the sake of it   its things like this that keeps butchering  the meaning of writing  stories  and its laws , It things like this that destroyed the Naruto franchise .

 

When I read a story I read it for how its written for the build up and everything else , but what they're doing with this is writing a story for the sake of fanservice  and that's why this is pure and utter kitten      .

 

As for why they didn't show his wife !? Well you're asking for  logic in here , consistency and cohesive writing such things don't exist in this story .

The way I see it, they (Kishimoto, SP, SJ, et al.) are changing so many things about the story and characters -- either blatantly or through loopholes they apparently believe allow for seamless revision -- and scrapping the rest that doesn't support or no longer fits with their new narrative -- that I don't understand why fans who don't want go along on their acid trip can't do the same.

 

If they don't have to adhere to the established narrative, or care about characterization, or continuity, or logic, or feel any shame at all in trashing huge parts of the story they decided they didn't want -- like the title character's integrity and heart --  why can't we trash or ignore the parts we don't want?

 

Why should any former fan of this series be considered foolish or in denial because they take the same tack as the author(s) and sales team?  "I'm choosing to pretend X, Y, and Z didn't happen. This is what really happened...."

 

They sold us a certain set of characters, relationships, and universe rules.  We don't have to buy the add-on pack that ruins everything.

Yes, you're so right - they are just picking it apart piecemeal, taking what they want and trashing the rest. No regard to anything that has come before. It's as simple as that. And it's hard for fans to deal with because we've been looking for cohesion and expecting everything to be tied together at the end. And instead they just dumped it all, jumped tracks and turned it into a different story. 

 

And yeah, we don't have to except the add-on. It's like Part 3 started before Part 2 was actually over. They just didn't let us know. We were expecting a big finish, but they were just warming us up for the switch.

What really worries me that all this might  just a facade, what truly lurks beneath is yet to be unveiled. I won't relax until April 3-6 is over and we have translations, confirming this stands this stands. Sakura and selfish  character.
