Lol, Sakura comes running into Naruto dream all of a sudden basically dispelling the genjutsu. She's happy that he's awake, and Shikamaru mentions that she was the only one that was able to resist the illusion. They then start to head off into the water again, when Naruto stays back with Hinata and mentions the dream. He runs off Hinata is about to jump in to when Toneri appears out of kittening nowhere. Hinata asks where. Hanabi is at, and Toneri tells her that she's sleeping in his castle. Toneri literally tells Hinata let's get married like the creep he is.

So, to summarize the plot of the last Naruto movie, he's thinking about a confession he got from a girl he barely talked to, never really responded to her confession, and is inexplicably hit with "Studio-retcon no jutsu" to make it seem like hinata was the first person Naruto ever loved and as the jutsu finished up, he decided to pursue hinata because she loved him first. Later on, when filler villain comes and abducts hanabi as leverage, hinata is thinks about confessing again only to be courted by filler villain. At some point hinata and sakura talk about how their feelings have never really changed since the beginning of the series, even though the latter had more reason than any other character, tries to pass on the guy who probably is the best thing to happen to her, all the while still being sadden by her "true love". some time later when hinata leaves with filler villain, sakura risks her life to save Naruto and explains how his love for her was born out a rivalry, how she could possibly know that is anyones guess seeing how she needed sai to help her understand Naruto loved her and how it was a plot point in the source material. With the girl he's been pinning for since the beginning of the series basically telling him to move on, even though she should probably take her own advice, Naruto and hinata have a few forced moments, Naruto saves sakura again, naruhina fans get the kiss they wanted, and everyone is happy.

 

I feel actively dumber having transcribed this plot. Even by the movies own logic, Sakura still has more reason to love Naruto than sasuke.

 

Did I miss any details or is there any more insulting plot lines used to destroy what potential Naruto and sakura had?

Poor Hinata-hime! Horrid! Being bullied because she's the heiress of the most important clan in Konoha! Such a terrible thing!! Bullying a poor defenseless girl! It's not like she had a whole clan at her back!

Terrible! terrible! Poor little child! The daughter of a lord as it is! How can people disrespect such an old and revered bloodline! This little  child! Alone in the world with those terribly unseemly eyes!....oh wait! Wasn't she in a village with people, a full clan I might add, who had her same little ophthalmic problem?

No respect anymore for the upper classes! No respect for a girl who did so much! Such a selfless creature! Such a brave and gentle soul! So dedicated to her family she would do anything to protect them. *shakes head*
