That's the point, if Ban got into the mess, King unintentionaly caused it all. At least who had his sin - Meliodas.

About Meliodas... So his sin was the destruction of the entire Kingdom of Danafor (or whatever the name is). Was the sole motivation for him blind rage b/c his girlfriend died?

I'm interested to find out who Meliodas is and if he is related to that one guy from the Demon Clan.

Pretty much. What is already established - Meliodas is from deamon clan and he annihilated enire Kingdom in one day.

But in all seriousness King is somewhat at fault, and that came once he never returned to take care of the responsibilities. That's where he went wrong. Instead he spent all of his time with Diane.

 

I agree with Point 3 and 4 the most. It is not his fault that the fairy forest got destroyed. He simply wanted to help his friends and unfortunately lost his memories in the process of doing that. I would have lost all my respect for King if he had not tried to come to their rescue. As a King he disappointed his people or fairies, of course. I'd be angry, too, if I was one of those fairies. Too bad that neither the fairies nor Elaine know the truth about his disappearance (oh well, after 700 yrs, I don't expect anyone to understand).

That's true, but at the same time 700 years to them is probably like....10-20 years? But also, if his friend (forgot his name) was just as strong as King, if not stronger, then why couldn't they have defended themselves? And also, do they only have one king? Nobody comes next in line??

I went to reread that flashback chapter more thoroughly. Once King started remembering his past, he and Diane saw a village on fire (the one that he and Diane visited earlier). King went there to take a look at what happened, and started remembering the incident from many years ago b/c the humans who killed by having their backs slashed is similar to the many fairies who have lost their wings. These humans were killed by Helbram who has been killing humans for hundreds of years after having been resurrected?! (I'm unsure if he died back then or not). King continues to ending Helbrams's life to keep his promise of taking care of his best friend in case something happens to him. Afterwords, we get to see him probably surrendering to the humans and taken in jail. That's where he meets Meliodas.

Conclusion: I have no idea why King did not first return to his kingdom. He should have at least checked, but I suppose the knights among them Meliodas arrived first and immediately took King as a Prisoner after he was gone for so many years. He didn't return back until after the entire forest was burned down.

Yeah, dunno about that. Didn't really made sense to me, lol. He prob was forbidden to leave the kingdom and was made to swear loyalty to King Liones and the kingdom. According to the wiki, King only went visiting the Fairy Forest AFTER the seven sins were disbanded ten yrs prior to the story.

Wow. the more I question this story the more I find plot holes in it. That's why I keep saying that I have a serious love hate relationship with Nanatsu no Taizai.

I guess you're right about that. NnT is definitely a manga that bursts with originality and nonstandard characters, but I just find some things unacceptable. Maybe that ending to Naruto has made be become more critical towards other mangas- especially the treatment and representation of women in shounen mangas. Sakura was such a wonderful female character. I loved everything about her, but to see that rotten Sakura in the end. It just hurts me.

Exactly. Same goes with TG. But enjoyment is something else of course. I am enjoying NnT and TG a lot.

O_O After having googled the anime's voice actors' name, I am shocked for some reason how many famous people are voicing in this anime.

1) Meliodas is voiced by Yuki Kaji who also voiced Eren from AoT

2) King is voiced by Jun Fukuyama who also voiced Lelouch from Code Geass and Toneri from The Last (wtf?!)

3) Gilthunder is voiced by Mamoru Miyano who also voiced Ling Yao from FMAB, Tsukiyama from Tokyo Ghoul, Okabe Rintarou from Steins; Gate, and Light Yagami from Death Note

4) Helbram, King's friend, is voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya who also voiced Levi from AoT, Yato from Noragami, and Trafalgar Law from One Piece

5) Arthur is voiced by Romi Park who also voiced Edward Elric from FMA and Toshiro Hitsugaya from Bleach.

I'm especially shocked about King's voice actor. He's one of my favorite japanese voice actors. I mean, how can someone with this bombastic voice give King such a gentle voice?!

I know most of you guys don't give a kitten about voice actors, but it's these people talents that usually make me watch Japanese dub.

This much is true. But I will point out that people said the same thing about Naruto and look what happened. These two stories are completely different, but there are some similarities. This goes for a lot of shounen mangas. As a Naruto fan I used to get so mad every time someone criticized it's flaws and called out plot holes, but now I can't even lift my voice. 

 

But hey, Naruto- 700 chapters and Nanatsu no Taizai- 150.

So you truly regret reading Naruto? I don't. At least not Part 1 of Naruto. Sakura has flaws, but I blame Kishi for always showing her worst side in front of Sasuke.

I had the choice of either catching up with 500+ of One Piece, 400+ of Bleach, and 400+ of FairyTail or starting several shorter series. I'm glad I chose the latter one

I don't regret reading Naruto, or even starting it. I more so regret finishing it. I regret getting so invested in it that I spent hundreds of dollars on merchandise that I don't even use till this day. I wonder what it's like to be a fan and embrace the things you love (and will continue to love years later). I can't do that now because Naruto gave me a bad taste in my mouth, and it was the only series that I've ever invested in like that. I feel like I was ripped off, honestly. Like 10 years worth of ripped off.
