Wow. Well, that end for Obito was a little bit of everything. I am glad for Naruto being who he is and praising at least some aspects of Obito's person. Obito wasn't all bad. Bad choices maybe, but deep down he wasn't a bad person. He didn't kill for revenge or pleasure. He didn't go out of his way to kill people even when he did.
At least he got to be with Rin for once.
I think people are confusing what a terrorist actually is. Terrorist thrive on chaos and destruction. They kill because it is fun and only to gain pleasure. Obito is not a terrorist. Im sorry, but he isn't. Instead, he was just a lost soul that killed people if they got in his way. That's the difference. Obito didn't go out of his way to kill people or took solace of it. He merely wanted Rin back and was willing to do anything to do it. Naruto saw inside Obito's heart and he knew that Obito was not an evil person. Madara and Kaguya were evil, not Obito.
Obito even wanted people to support his goal and promised better loves to people. He even went to the Kage and said "Give me the tailed beasts, and I will allow you all to live. If not, then a war it shall be." He is not happy to go to war, he just found it to be a necessary. At least at the time. Terrorism is different. Terrorism is meant to keep people in fear. A psychological warfare of sorts. If anything, Madara and Orochimaru were terrorists.
As for Naruto line of him being the "coolest guy," well, he calls Sasuke a "great friend." After that line, I pratically now just accpet anything Naruto says. Although, if I can give my two cents, obito has redeempable qualities about him. He wasn't always a jerk or a pissant with angst issues. This is unlike Sasuke who was akways a jerkface to everyone and treated people like crap. Sure, he wasn't as maniacal as he is now, but there is nothing redeemable about Sasuke. This is where I can see the line being drawn.
Other that that, everyone has their own opinion.
For the rest,
Once again, Sasuke proves how useless he is. (What? I am a Sasuke hater and I have a reputation to keep.) Sasuke can't even land a hit on Madara, meanwhile Naruto rips Kaguyas arm off and actually punched her. Far closer than anything Sasuke did. Naruto doesn't need Sasuke at all. He is Superman and can do anything he put his mind. I have to admit, it gave me chills. I felt like this was the real Naruto again and not just whining over Sasuke.
I also like how Sakura is once again worried about Naruto and not Sasuke. Some say she is like Hinata here, but from the way I see it, she wants to comfort Naruto. She wants to bring something to give him comfort even though he could not save Obito. Naruto, despite enemies, wants to save as many lives as he can. He literally has become Superman in wanting to bring hope and not fear or oppression.

No no. Sakura's not dying
. It was something like what Nagato said to Naruto....in the same context and same meaning
yeah but this situation is different... the final war that will decide the destiny of the worl is almost over. Kaguya is the final villain. I doub that after her there will be another powerful enemy and again wars since it's stated that there will be a peace time after this... So no need to point these words if this is the final battle.... And the only people who are there, except naruto, are: Sasuke, Kakashi and Sakura since other naruto's comrades are in real world and sleeping into the mugen tsukuyomi... So....

What if, now that BZ is on his own, he latches onto Kakashi or Sakura? Both have little chakra and the boys would be too busy fighting Kaguya to protect them, so... ( I think it would most likely be Kakashi, because Kishi is heavily hinting at his uselessness, like he did with Sakura.)
It might not go down like that, but I expect something with Kakashi.
He's mine, don't touch.

Whaaaa...Obitoooooooo...
I was seriously starting to like him and I really hoped he would get a happy future living in Konoha but...I guess deep down I knew this would happen. R.I.P: Obito...
And that ObiRin moment at the very end...aarrghh...my shipper feels...

There's still Sasuke and particularly, this battle will be very very difficult for Naruto since they are supposed to fight each other to death! And not only Naruto but it will be very very difficult for Team 7 as well...and that's why....yeah but this situation is different... the final war that will decide the destiny of the worl is almost over. Kaguya is the final villain. I doub that after her there will be another powerful enemy and again wars since it's stated that there will be a peace time after this... If Naruto keep displaying that he's more than Sasuke, then he will.

Probably but again part of the problem is that Itachi, Kakashi and Minato confirm that Sasuke still needs one last TNJ before he's ready to come back to the other side. Also again wanting to kill Naruto and tear down the shinobi system might cause some problems.

By the way, I DO think the end part was an obvious parallel to the POAL.There was no need to word it as a 'promise'. It could have been dream, goal, ambition, etc but Kishi intentionally worded it as a 'promise'.Obito saying to Naruto to become Hokage and that end scene was an obvious indication of Naruto being a successful version of Obito and Sakura being the one who is still safely protected and watching him.
sad for obito.... he himself stated to be a sinner... he tried to do everthing for putting everything right... Maybe he wasn't the coolest guy as Naruto stated but i appreciated how he reacter after he found out that he was manipulated by Madara. Nothing will erase all sins that he made but at least he dead in time for showing how he is still the old Naruto that Rin used to know.
I'm afraid about Obito's words "From here on, you will undoubtely still have more pain and tragedy to face...." I hope that something bad won't happen to Sakura...
yeah, I was wondering if there might be a deeper meaning to Obito's words... although I also thought it could have been referring to sasuke.

Emotion charged chapter. Now, I've never liked Obito for all that he has done BUT he deserved that final moment before his death.
I've got to hand it to Kishimoto, he really knows how to make emotional scenes. I thought Pein's final words were emotional but this is just.. WOW. His writing can make even the fiercest critics of a character(Obito here) sympathize and feel sad for that character, even if just for a moment. No wonder Naruto was so touched.
Having said that, the 'Coolest guy' comment was just ridiculous. Really Naruto? Really Kishimoto? Naruto hardly knew Obito and no way in hell can Obito be described 'Cool'. This is an insult to Jiraiya who, lets face it, was 1000 times a better man and a cooler guy than Obito!
What were you thinking,Naruto?! I hope it was a statement made caught up in the emotion of the moment.

Well at last Obito finally dead and done with, will say the chapter was a little touching even if it was a little wrong.
Well from what it seemed I think Mr Kishimoto was trying to please the two sides of the fan base that ether like or hate Obito. By given him a cruel end but also a touching farewell. I won't say the journey of Obito was perfect it did stretch out a bit long (mainly they big Jubijin fight) But their where moments that were fun to read and such.
People who hate him would probably enjoy Black Zetsu's words and how he disintegrates, while disliking Naruto words. Will admit probably bad choosing on Mr Kishimoto's part, but I think he was trying to be a bit shonen on that part after all most shonens have former villains turn friends even if they were pathetic or didn't deserve it mainly big ones that run. Those who enjoy Obito will find the ending touching I did to, Those complaint that to fan fiction should remember when Kakshi was dead for a while he had a chat with his father.
Well Obito is finally dead and won't be coming back so haters should finally be happy and hopefully will start enjoying the manga again or at least a little better. Its a little disappointing Kakashi won't get his eye back, but maybe we will finally see his face.

ANGRY NARUTO I kittening LOVE IT THAT'S BADASS NARUTO AND HE'S GOING FULL ANGER NEXT CHAP MORE OF THIS KISHI XD.
Good Chapter didn't like the coolest part but it Naruto and I guess he was referring to the younger Obito , Loved the Hokage speech we got a subtle parallel of OR but still not direct one so that's it the chance is gone for good oh well , That OR ending was sweet so emotional XD . Sakura is more and more going toward Naruto worrying about him his feelings and leaving Sasuke in the dust I see a pattern here XD
And Sasuke where are you Sasuke Why you so useless Sasuke Naruto bursting in full anger next chap is gonna be sweet XD

sigh... other fans are using the im always watching you line as reference to hinata yet again...
OH god
rin always watched /over/ Obito, god Kishi even showed us again the flashback that showed her watching over him throughout the time by healing him, acknowledging his dream etc. She's been there right beside him and taking care over his recklessness. Does that remind us of a certain someone who also does this and always has? nooo *irony*
watching over someone while being by ones side(sakura-rin) is different than watching someone from the distance and looking up to someone (hinata)

They've been saying that for a while now so it doesn't surprise me.
Man, I was hoping just a little to see Rin have some sort of feelings for Obito, but I know that it wouldn't have fit with the flow of the chapter. But the more I think about it the more I see that it wasn't so much about concluding ObiRin, it was about giving it a proper start, even if it's in the after life, with Obito finally taking a chance by being alone with her.
