Yep I noticed that too. I can see something in mangapanda's one but it's too blurry and dark, but it's definitely a tear.

And otaru just remember this,whatever Kishi doesn't do well to sakura, it's worse on all other females save tsunade, I mean if sakura hasn't been handled well, hinata is an absolute mess. He handles sakura well in most other cases, and as people are shouting now naruto has some revival technique,well let's see if he is suddenly got the Jesus healing touch or what. Sakura's purpose never came to power, her role as a character has always been more mentally driven than physically and it's there kishi still does well with her when it counts. He could have done sakura better in many ways but as she is, it's still better than his other females. Tsunade is the only one he handled without real issue. Sakura however it's good he gave her the long complex development he did, that's the mental aspect that makes her a good character, not the perfect heroine but it's her normality and imperfections that make her like able because she has others well being in mind. Besides her caring for naruto is just one of her longest changing developments, that change from hate towards naruto to where she is with him now along with her other development, physical wise and mental wise is what keeps her from being a token romance character, I mean she changed and still is changing in the story, it's better to say ns can come because of the dynamic changes rather than convienetlt for nh because hinata always loved naruto and naruto just suddenly switched to hinata after years of development with sakura. This is what sets sakura and ns from being just convienent fodder characters and pairings like hinata and nh,

 

 

It's true but I still find all this rushed and OOC from Sakura's side. Her reaction is too small to me.

This is nothing we haven't seen before, because she teared up when Naruto woke up during the Sai arc. Just like her speech during the CPR was nothing we hadn't seen before, because she said the exact same thing during the Chunin exams. In both situations, Sakura was in love with Sasuke, not Naruto.

All NaruSaku got out of this build up was the CPR itself and the parallel imagery, which have no substance. The CPR, as nice as it was, is not a real kiss and she did it for medical reasons. The parallel images are just... images. In other words, all NaruSaku got was irrelevant fluff.

You know, come to think of it, if Kishi really wants to make NS as an end game, he surely won't miss the current situation. This situation and tension between Naruto and Sakura seemed more than just perfect. I am sure Kishi did create 662-663 to show development of Sakura as a character and ofcourse NS, not to forget he himself created the situation in the kamui dimension. I mean like Naruto and Sakura being alone along with just Obito by their side. Now, if Kishi really leans towards NS(which is quite apparent) it seems odd on his part to create a perfect situation like this and then not use it. I believe he has planned some off panel development for the pairings which he will show us later. The parallel page today held its significance not in the content(ofcourse to some extent) but in the positions where things were pictured. I mean Uzumaki symbol-Uchiha symbol, Sun-Moon and all those stuff. And most of all, why portray Sakura-Karin, Obito-Kabuto in the same positions? This page holds more to it than it looks. It seems like the end of the conversations from both Naruto and Sasuke's part is shown to us. Otherwise, its too OOC for Naruto to not thank Obito and Sakura and head to the battle. And as far as I remember Sakura's reaction 'Naruto..' comes when she sees a completely new Naruto, which she usually gives at the end and Naruto then cuts it. She gave the same reaction in Gaara rescue arc when she saw Naruto crying for Gaara and even during Naruto's 'You are my friend speech'! Something has surely happened between Naruto and Sakura and Naruto and Obito in the Kamui dimension. I'm sure there's more to the parallel page today, and Kishi will show us what happened in the Kamui dimension later on.

I feel like any pairing gets irrelevant fluff these days or one sidedness that dosen't go anywhere. Unless its narusasu bond.

Agreed, i dont understand this overreacting towards Sakura tearing she did it a lot thoughout the series it would be weid if she didnt, we didnt get any progress the last was her behavior towards Sasuke when he came to the battlefield.

Those guys are so going to be together, i'm not doubting that they will end as a couple in the end.

Since the message of the manga is destroyed the only think Kishi can do is to do something about same sex marriage rights or something like that.

Gai was amazing, and what a tribute to hard workers who have nothing "special" to offer.

 

I wanted him to kill Madara, but at the same time knew he wouldn't.  He got very close, though, and that's very, very good.  I'm also pleased to see him eclipse Kakashi -- the former snob -- and it will be interesting to know how this changes Gai's constant nagging of Kakashi to test their skills. 

 

I also really wanted it to be Tenten who arrived before Gai had expired, not Naruto.  I mean, it was great to see Naruto in action again, and great to see him burst onto the scene with a Part I-style kick, but... yeah, Tenten.

 

So the tapestry symbols that I mentioned last chapter thread!!!  The sun and moon that were hanging over Ashura and Indra's heads last chapter, and are now tatoo-like seals on Naruto and Sasuke's palms.  I wonder if they must be combined to form some kind of special seal...?  

 

I know a lot of people are going to moan and groan and whine and wail about Kishimoto choosing to avoid any shippy NS stuff, but I'm not surprised or disappointed.  He always seems to render NS moments when we don't expect them, and the focus is on the fighting.  It wouldn't be much Naruto's style to know there was life and death fighting going on, but he stopped to have a schmoopy moment with Sakura.  

 

Besides, thanks to the panel of Sakura on her knees beside a restored Naruto with Obito looking on side-by-side with a panel of Karin on her knees beside a restored Sasuke with Kabuto looking on -- all the characters in the same positions, saying the exact same words... ???   It's so FREAKING obvious anyway.  

 

Patience, people.  Patience.  As has been said by many posters many times, it is HIGHLY unlikely that Kishimoto will resolve NS until the end and I'm personally very glad.  Wondering how it will happen, exactly, keeps things interesting.

 

Here's hoping this new strained alliance between the boys will be half as interesting.

 

 

The underlined : Yeah i agree with this very much because i did not even wake up today just to get excited over whats happening in the manga. As usual and curiosity i just looked onto tumblr to see the disappointment as expected. I only checked for naruto updates out of boredom and habit anyway.

I felt the chapter was rushed. But only on the parts of the development such as what the power given to Naruto and Sasuke is and also that Gai being revived from death which defeats the purpose of things in a sense, but I won't complain because I personally don't like characters being killed off, especially if I truly get to know them through the story. that is not to say I never want t a character killed off but remember just be cause a character dying just to make a realistic feel to the story does not always mean that it is a good plot point No NS moment which disappoints me But I write up on why later. (I'm back by the way, hehehehehehehehe) 

 

Naruto lost that realistic emotional feeling a long time hence the reason im very indifferent towards the manga these days Also im interested on the rant your gonna post soon phantom!

Just finished reading the chapter and I am disappointed, and yes, it's because there was no interaction between Naruto and Sakura.

 

There have been many times in the Naruto manga where it feels like things have been stretched out and gone on longer than they should have. I can remember times when something that took up five chapters could probably be done in two or three.

 

So now we have a chance to see Naruto (and Sasuke too) wake up, take in his surroundings and come back to reality, and it doesn't happen. It wouldn't even have to be all for pairing purposes, but just for a general scene of seeing him wake up.

 

This just felt so instantaneous, suddenly Naruto is standing up and in a flash he is at the fight. Maybe lose one of the pages from the flashback and add another with our protagonist.

 

The action itself was fine, though. Gai's attack was impressive.

I have a theory that chakra is a (manifestation of one) soul.
That's why when you lose your chakra you are dead.

And sakura will have a role in this war. Try read the chunin arc, this's recycle of garra vs naruto.

i think the mouth to mouth is special. kishi could have make sakura massage his heart and that's it, or use some ninjutsu mojo like kabuto, he's just healing sasuke using ninja magic, or like tsunade, who healed her then lover with mystical palm till he bled out. he didn't have to add the kiss of life if it is not significant, some ns fans i know are content enough with the kiss that they don't care what the pairing at the end is anymore.
