I love them because their story is so tragic. They came so close to living happily as a family, but had that opportunity stolen away from them at the last second. There are so many "could have been"s with their relationship. Thinking about it gives me feels.

I love them because their story is so tragic. They came so close to living happily as a family, but had that opportunity stolen away from them at the last second. There are so many "could have been"s with their relationship. Thinking about it gives me feels.
I second that. I just really love that they were willing to give everything for each other, and especially their child, the amount of love between Minato and Kushina, is one that can't be denied, even though we really only know a little about them. They love each other, and they love their son, no two ways about it.

When Minato saves Kushina when she was kidnapped twice, and when Kushina held back the Nine-tailed fox, that song popped right into my head. Imo, its basically the the story of Minato and also Kushina's life. "Its a long road where you face the road alone... you'll find love."
Listen to it when I lift too, its not exactly godsmack but it does the trick
