@Atheck How would you go about explaining Shikamaru's situation then? I don't see Katsuyu on him, so why didn't he die immediately? And I'm not doing this because I don't believe you. I'm just trying to understand

Did Shikamaru have a piece of Katsuyu on him when he was last shown? Not everyone in the Alliance required healing by that point. Only a portion of them did. And it's not like Shikamaru was in a position where the probability of suffering bodily harm is high. He was just sitting in one place attempting to maintain constant communication with everyone. The only reason he would need Katsuyu is if his chakra supply was low but with Naruto's chakra shroud supply shouldn't be an issue.

This chapter was better than what I was expecting.

 

Though you guys nearly gave me a heart attack with the first page, saying that Shikamaru had died.  Thank Kishi he's alright , I have no doubt that Sakura will save him.  And of course, I'm happy that Sakura is indeed alright and doing her duty as a medic nin.  It was nice to get inside her head a bit this chapter (which her reaction to the shinobi dying and Shikmaru being injured - recalling her speech while healing Naruto).

 

I'm glad Orochimaru and co. finally showed up, and that we know the kages are close as well.  I'm also glad that we now have a countdown until the flower blooms.  Actual story progression!

 

I liked the no regrets concept from Naruto's monologue, and the idea of the alliance being connected with Naruto's heart as well.  It was pretty touching.  But I have to ask (and I probably just missed it), but how the hell did Naruto's heart suddenly come through Ino's jutsu?

 

For that matter, how is it that Naruto was able to stand right back up, and have full access to his power when he was completely drained and couldn't even stand up last chapter?  I know he recovers fast, but still  : /

 

On a final note, there was definitely no pairing moments this chapter.  I'm annoyed to hear some fans (not on this site, but in general) are taking the panel placement as pairing moments.  Especially with the Sakura and Sasuke panels, where they are both thinking about Naruto's heart (though Sakura explicitly says it while Sasuke just has dots in his speech bubble).  Whatever though, that's the Naruto pairing fandom in general for you.

 

Maybe Naruto’s no regrets thing will lead to him confessing to Sakura, but I can only see him doing so after they’ve defeated this thing, or if they feel like all hope is lost and they have nothing left to attack the tree with.  But I honestly can’t see him taking any of the precious limited time they have to stop this thing to confess to Sakura (again, until and unless they’ve exhausted everything they have).  To say that now is not a good time is an understatement lol.

I thought this chapter was pretty good. No pairing moments, which is appropriate because it was all about loss and sadness. I doubt Naruto will regret not confessing to Sakura, she's not dead yet.

Karin is really just a joke, and I don't think Kishimoto wants to write more about her for the time being.

I agree that Shikamaru probably won't die, his situation is likely to reinforce Sakura's determination.

The panel on page 20 was blurry but it was Jiraiya. It's so touching to see that Orochimaru and Tsunade still miss him.

I didn't understand why Hinata was in the second to last page, and then I remembered most of the Konoha 11 got some screentime this chapter.

I don't know about you guys ,but this chapter had amazing art work! I reread it like 5 times , its a very good chapter . 9/10 for me ^-^.

This 15 almost 15 minutes thing shortens the possibilities of dragging on this arc . I think Karin is gonna heal Shika , its faster than your regular medical ninjutsu (i sure hope Sakura does it , but ...) its gonna be good anyways. I wonder what she will do after that , seeing her so ''excited'' over Sasuke and all ^_^.  Madara's trump card is nigh , its very peculiar ..what it is gonna be. I wonder if he is gonna force Bee's bijuu and Kurama out of Naruto somehow ?

@Inferno , You cannot believe the level on ignorance and denial I've clashed recently .. A person was calming  quite different from what is in the actual manga..... Sometimes  i wonder if they see their pairings in NS ,but are afraid to admit it? Its quite confusing talking to them .. Its like they've read a fan fan fiction instead of the manga..

@Paptala , i think its connected somehow with Naruto's chakra he transferred 2 times now , but that my guess.

Wow, that really turned out amazing.

15 minutes? Let's hope we get an actual 15 minutes and not a DBZ 5 minutes becomes 6 hours. XD We made a joke about this on the podcast if I can get it uploaded. Anyway...

Naruto bascially shared his heart with everyone? Hmmm....an interesting development. The opportunity for a pairing moment is there and we might get one, but for now it was simple and sweet. Hey, we might not get a NS moment, but we didn't get a NH moment either so for that I am happy. As long as one is not favored over the other when moments like this occur, then sure I am fine with it. Still potential is there. So it might play a big part later on.

As for the whole Sasuke thing....meh....he seems like a good guy now, but it won't last. Again, it is a misdirection and we will probably see him say "You are weak Naruto. You don't know what real love is" or something like that. Interesting to see Orochimaru and everyone else back again. Karin? You dirty naughty little...eh-hem...

Shikamaru is dead? Huh, no, but he might. Still interesting that he dies considering he is supposed to be Naruto's right hand man or something....I don't know. We wanted death of the major cast and now we are getting some. (And people are complaining.) Funny how things work like that.

But Chatte that's not what people were saying didn't you read the posts about Sakura knowing how Naruto feels thanks to this chapter.
And honestly we didn't need this chapter to know that it was more or less implied before whether it is the obirin/narusaku parallel or the future problable Naruto confession.
I just think it was a great chapter and it's a bit ruined by all these shipping speculation.

To be honest, what ruins it more at this point in time is people blaming things on Sakura for stuff that wasn't even her fault in the first place. You know? You'd think that since Obito is the one killing people with the tree, you'd think people would blame him, but no, it is Sakura's fault because of one reason or another.

 

This wasn't intended to happen in Sakura's mind. It's just that the circumstances for using the Remote Healing jutsu backfired and resulted in the deaths of shinobi. Completely unintentional on her part.

Actually, Atheck, if you want to blame anyone, blame Naruto. Seeing how he shared his nine-tails chakra with everyone and they resonated with it. Killer Bee showed that the tree is really attracted to the tailed beast chakra. So if everyone has a high intensity of it and the tree seeks it out like candy, then Naruto might as well put a sign on their backs saying "Eat me."

Either way it is all unintentional.

Nothing for nothing, but why is it always you, Darkrerst, or Codus always the first ones to point out the "bad" of Sakura even when there was nothing bad to behold? I am really curious by this. Do you have some deep down hatred for Sakura or something? Just to let you know, the only accusations here are the ones you are proposing. I don't really care what the NH fans say because they will say anything at this point.

I dont get why Naruto is constantly getting encouragement and the same idea being enforced over and over, i kind of agree with Atheck on this matter, it's the 3 or 4rd time that Naruto goes back and forth on the same subject.

The Japanese forums are saying the exact same thing and I agree actually. 

 

I can't understand the point of Kishi repeating this. But now that Sasuke, the second most important character, gave him encouragement, I guess there is nobody else there left to give him that. Hopefully, Naruto will not break anymore.

I've heard that that is what they do with Shonen delay,drag on, filler , just like James mentioned . Boy, planet Namek those 5 minutes felt like 50 hours ......

@Atheck. Now I'm going to ask you that same question from before: Is it still accurate to blame Katsuyu or Sakura for those deaths, considering that the first set of people who died didn't seem to have Katsuyu on them? Which means, having Katsuyu doesn't shorten or increase your chances of survival, does it? So...is it still fair? What do you think?

You know, at least it's 15 minutes. Sometimes, when you think about it, looking at their actions and all, it does take at least 2 minutes, so yeah. If it was 5 minutes, I can sense BS. Lol. I know in anime, DBZ got more stuff in as more filler, BUT in canon, it still felt forever. I mean we had Frieza going to final form, DB wish, Goku playing mercy, and so on. How all of that squeeze in 5 minutes? Anyway, editing now.

His emotional roller coaster reminds me of mood disorder.

They were tired of Naruto getting nearly broken again. Other people were happy that Orochimaru made an appearance. Other people were saying that no matter how much Naruto acts like he knows Sasuke the most, the person who really understands Sasuke is without a doubt Orochimaru.

It would seem so and I'm sorry but its some of the dumbest kitten I've heard. How does the life of little Katsuyu tie in with that of the ninja she was healing. If anything, I bet the nin likely died before her clones did. There were panels showing them being sucked DRY. Now, how in the frack does Katsuyu and Sakurs get even an ounce of the blame when they were gonna die any damn way. Hell, Naruto's chakra had more to do with them dying that a small ass slug since the tree felt it was appetizing. I can't believe blame is actually being thrown her way tbh...

I didnt talked anything about Sakura on this episode just pointed out that it wasnt about team 7 loss but rather understanding Naruto's reasons for why he wants to save Sasuke.(which even there's "that's why")

The only thing of bad on terms of character that i pointed out was Karin.

Funny, because I actually said that in the review that Orochimaru knows him best. It's redudent Naruto's part sure, but if this is the final mission, then go all out. That's what Kishi pretty much doing, just saying that this is the final hurdle.
