Oh, I see. Yeah, I prefer Oz/Alice, but I wouldn't mind Oz/Echo. This last chapter does feel like it's leaning towards the latter though.

Farewell, Echo. Oz putting on her cloak was a great moment. Volume 22's cover makes complete sense now, and I wouldn't have it be anything else (that is, assuming volume 23's cover ends up being Alice, of course).

 

I love how the material with Jack and Glen after Miranda's attack is being covered in real time now, not in flashback form, and how it's converging with the main storyline. After all this time, we still don't know how Glen died back then in Sablier; we're about to find out. I thought it was odd, encountering the panels somewhere in volume 19 where Jack found Glen's body and reflected on how he killed him because he was going to try and kill Alice, which had never been brought up before. Everything's coming together for the ending, and it's flowing together so perfectly.

 

As for the shipping discussion we were having... looks like the competition's been nullified.

What makes her death even worse is Oz’s reaction. He’s speechless. There are so many things he wants to say to her, but he’s both in too much shock and has too little time to say them; it’s all he can do to repeat her name. And now he’ll never be able to say anything to her again.

Right here really gets me. It's like there so much left unsaid, so much Oz wants to say. But, "You made me so happy," says a lot about what Echo meant to him. So sad. I'm getting emotional thinking about it.
