Well, that was unexpected. Now Obito is the Juubi's jinchuuriki and so it seems like he's going to carry on with the "Eye of the Moon" plan. I wonder what exactly Madara is thinking, since he doesn't seems the least bit phased that his master plan has been foiled. 

 

The most interesting part of the chapter was Minato's revelation. That's pretty messed up.

 

I would like to know how sakuras absence for 2 chapters can be called "lack of apperance". We can even say that shes missing for 1 chapter since the last one was only focusing on kakashi and obito. That compalining really doesnt make much sense there.

 

Indeed. I don't think that Kishi is just going to have Sakura sit on the sidelines for the rest of the battle. That would just be insane, especially after that massive power boost she received just a few chapter ago.

I imagine two ways. 

1.) Obito sees Sakura and one of her expressions overlaps that of Rin.

2.) Obito sees Naruto and Sakura interact with each other and it reminds him of how he used to interact/how he wanted to interact with Rin. 

 

Chances are small, but Sakura's existence itself may be the key to Obito's redemption.

I agree. Sakura can be a way to Obito's redemption, but if that happens, Naruto will have a bigger one seeing that he's the other Obito and got to have a talk with him.

Very true, nice observations! I also think that a parallel between Rin and Sakura will be inevitabile. Maybe Obito will notice how the triangle in T7 is pretty similar to that's between him, Kakashi and Rin once...

only way too complete that Rin= sakura is when sakura sacrifice for the one she loves  naruto or sasuke   who will it be. if kishi is going that route ofc

But Rin didn't really sacrifice herself for Kakashi. She did it for her village, but let Kakashi do the deed.

To me the only thing Kishi has to do now is make someone verbally confirm Rin->Sakura. That flashback moment has a strong connection to the one with Sai, Naruto, and Sakura. There is no doubt that Sakura has a bigger role with this Obito situation. My opinion is that Obito will confirm this parallel because he was in love with Rin. I noticed in the Tsuna parallel is made by Jiraiya, who was in love with Tsuna, and Kushina parallel was made by Minato who was her husband. Maybe ^^

I didn't expect Obito to be the jinchuuriki! Next volume might even be better! But I have to wonder, how will he do the Moon Eye Plan without the Sharingan? I'm very surprised! Minato and Obito moment was the best in this chapter.

thats the problem now i gess i wonder if obito cares at this point he talked a couple of chapters ago then he forced hes will on nejji i believ and now he is the 10 tails i believe talking hope the good guys have time too do so i mean if i had a power boost and was insane i would finish this fight so fast, lets not forget obito is not madara who likes too take hes time haha he is all action end this.

Kishi has this capacity of making people feel sorry and like he's character for a chapter , and then back to the hate with one page, at least it happen for me with Obito

 

Im a bit dissapointed about Sakura screen time , its been 2-3 chapters that we didin't see her at all !

 

But overall i think that was an awesome chapter, and I think Kishi is trying to put an other parallel with Sakura and Rin. 

 

PS : Madara's  reaction when he knows he will not be the 10 tails jinchuriki was priceless

huh, i didn't thought it would happen that way,.. once again, good job Kishi!

overall, that was a good chapter; again, i didn't see my favorite girl but that was ok. this chapter gave us more than just a glimpse on NaruSaku, as mentioned by others, we can see the parallel..
however, i just can't understand Obito, if i remember correctly, he did say that he's not doing his revenge for Rin alone, but in the last 2 chapters, all he could remember is the image of that girl he loves,. it's like nothing else matters for him...
and going with that flow, if THIS villain guy is STILL so in love with a girl who no longer exists, how much more should it be for the main character towards his love interest?.. honestly, i cant see any end pairing other than NaruSaku.,
oh well, i hope next week we'll see Sakura more.. :)

agreed but i thik Obito was about too die, and the last thing he wanted too see was her however minato saved his life more then he ended it he killed of the black zetsu part i believe and thats wye no rinnegan use was made for madara,  so infact he helped obito become the 10 tails but hey the other choice was madara so

Ugh. I thought Sakura would be in the chapter. It was a nice chapter, but geez, it'd be nice if Kishi KEPT Sakura's role at or around the same level as Naruto and Sasuke. When I think about it, as I've said before, we shouldn't have to wait for her to do certain things in the manga since it should actually be a given. Her position is the heroine. Not secondary, third party main characters. Sure, it's nice that her character is tied to both Naruto and Sasuke BUT this is the time where she could of did things outside of them, and made a name for herself. She's the damn successor/student of the Legendary Sannin/Hokage. I hope she's back in the forefront soon, and if Kishi wanted to make a parallel between Sakura/Rin, he should of did that before Obito turned. I think now would of been pretty appropriate.

 

Would of been something if he was looking at Sakura as she ran toward his body and called out to Rin thinking it was her. 

 

Anyway, the chapter was alright though I was a little disappointed there was no Sakura to be honest. I like seeing her do stuff outside of what goes on between the NaruSakuSasu triangle...

If Obito doesn't care about his old life anymore, or the world, why does he keep getting flashbacks of it?

He did terrible things with the excuse 'Minato-sensei, I don't care anymore', even still calls him sensei.

Is there any good left in him?

I felt like his flashback was pretty much telling us that all those dreams that he couldn't achieve will now happen with the moon eye plan, and because of he was getting ready to become one, it's like he was saying to himself, "I couldn't become Hokage. I couldn't win Rin's love. But now, in this world, I can achieve them!" I noticed that he flashbacked on the moment that he failed and told that he can do it if he never gives up. Well, he's there, only wrong way. Seeing his sensei was the last time he will see him as a normal Obito, because now, he's Obito the Jinchuuriki.

 

Between, It's hilarious how Kishimoto didn't give half a damn about the poor Hiruzen in this chapter

While truth, I think Kishi did it to the kages who are relevant to the characters. Hashirama and Tobirama know Madara like that, so they go to him. Minato knows Obito, so he go to him. Hiruzen don't really know anyone there, so yeah.

 

I thought Sakura was going to be relegated to fodder healing for another several chapters but this chapter changed my mind. 

 

The parallels are going to be brought up and she will most likely appear soon. Kishi is constantly shoving down on our throats how Obito is similar to Naruto with his determination and his feelings for Rin. Those repeated Obito -> Rin panels are there for a reason. Sakura's lack of appearance now is the calm before the storm. And when Kishi shows a parallel, there is always a verbal confirmation.

 

Tsunade=Sakura by Chiyo, Jiraiya

Kushina=Sakura by Minato

Rin=Sakura by?? 

 

Jiraiya=Naruto by Nagato 

Minato=Naruto by Kakashi, Jiraiya

Obito=Naruto by Kakashi, Obito

 

Orochimaru=Sasuke by Jiraiya

Kakashi=Sasuke by Gai

Maybe. There are many ways and I do think it only needs to be Rin, because that's the only missing one for Obito. Obito got the Naruto's part down, so now, he needs that Rin of this generation, so it can be connected with Obito/Naruto. Remember, two things Obito failed to gain: Hokage and Rin. Naruto already shows his ambitious to become Hokage. Now, time to show his ambitious to win Sakura's love.

 

As for Sakura, remember, these last two chapters were about Obito, so now, I do believe we will get Sakura next chapter because next chapter very well be a chapter of reactions from many. I don't know if Kakashi will come back, but we'll see. He will be so hurt that Obito has now become the villain of the world that was once a hero. That said I'm so happy that Naruto vs. Obito is happening. I also like the fact that Naruto's BM vs. Obito will be intense. It will make Sasuke look soooooooooo second rate (that's right, I said it). I mean how his arrow got reflected by those Pain's rods. Sad. But yeah, next volume looks beast.

Hmm...I guess my over reading in last chapter made me less surprised about this one. Yeah, Obito's final word to Kakashi could have just ended up as a farce, but this is Kishi were talking about, no words go to waste unless your just about dead

Their character designs all look the same too. Kishi only gives the spotlight to teenager rookies.

Probably would have been better off just have any known cast member there then have these generic solider rejects who showcase almost no potential whatsoever. But then again, I guess Kishi wanted to show of the Rookie 11's growth + Susuke and Sai. I find it weird though that we haven't seen team Guy in the fray since that one chapter where Naruto gives Lee the cloak

Dang, I wonder if Naruto figured it out at some point, judging by his comment at the last page, or is he just saying what we're all thinking?

 

 

Parallels and Minato's reaction to the identity of the masked man aside, is anyone else peeved by Madara's seeming indifference to his lifelong ambitions going up in flames? Ever since his return there have only been setbacks one after the other with presumed allies declining to carry out their duty, the Jubi being recreated with only a portion of its ultimate strength, and now his intention of becoming a jinchuuriki has been robbed by the child who was originally supposed to be a disposable pawn. Madara seems incapable of successfully carrying out his plans yet that doesn't bother him one bit. He's just indolently sitting out from the battle with a smug expression. 

 

I'm beginning to think that the people who claimed that Madara was only doing this for ****s and giggles were correct. The only objective he appears to be serious about is fighting Hashirama. 

 

Hiruzen was noticeably absent from the Hokage lineup when they were creating their clones. He should be capable of making several clones to join in the assault as well. What would Kishi's motive be for leaving him out? 

 

It has now been two chapters since Sakura made an appearance and that is alarming. Are medical duties for the mass fodder the only function she has now? The other main protagonists, Naruto and Sasuke, are in the midst of the most important battle in the entire manga but for some odd reason Sakura has apparently been ostracised to the background once again. She should be up there next to her teammates fighting against Tobi.

 

I've always thought that Madara is mostly more for the fights that'll ensue.  It's Tobi/Obito that has a grand ambition.  Considering his comments during his fights always end up being something like, "My god, you guys are weak, bring me Hashirama!"  I would've thought Madara's Blood Knight status was obvious....
