CU seems to have died down. Judging by their patterns, they review and attack the story before it gets nuked. It should be safe.

Gugh I hate it when I read my mobile phone when I read in FFnet then later the letter font became bigger and it hurt my eyes.
I wish FFnet site should leave it the way it was but keep changing *sigh*

I can think of only a couple of reasons off hand. It was causing some techical or space issue for them (I don't how such things work, so I wouldn't know) or they caught enough people direct linking to porno (or that were hosting their material on websites that advertised a lot of porno-I've caught people here doing that before) that they just disabled it entirely (i.e. the lazy-man's way to solve the issue).
Otherwise, you're right, what is the point?

That's not a lesson I need to learn, Onion =p
I've been doing that since I started writing fanfics over 10 yrs ago. I just like to do a final edit within FFnet's Doc Manager, because that format allows me to see how the story will appear to my readers, and I can pick out any mistakes and edits that need to be made easier ^^
It logged me a couple more times after that, and on a completely different comp, but as I did have the original saved on Open Office I could always re-copy it. It was just an annoyance, as much of FFnet has unfortunately become >.>

You're not the only one. It kept logging me out when I was trying to log in to review a story. I don't think it started working again for me until after midnight. Weird. Some kind of glitch maybe?

Hm...that has happened to me before. For example I logged in yesterday to review a story and today I was going to review another story but apparently I was log out when yesterday I logged in (marking staying log in for 7 days). That has always happened so I don't think it has anything to do with the Purge thing.

What I mean is, I would try to log in and it would still say I'm not logged in. It may have been some kind of glitch, I don't know.

I personally don't care about the anonymous review bits, but I understand the reason why it's best that they be disabled for some fandoms, including this one. Some people can't take the terrible things that people say when they can't be identified.
I don't understand why FF.net is silent during all this and continuing about their day. You should be improving your site to improve customer satisfaction, not what you think will satisfy them.
Also, that "comment" crap is really bad. It's not a comment since you can't have a continuous conversation save on PM's. It's a review, they should have left that be. That part makes no sense to me. Now I have to change my email filters and everything. *sigh*
Sig made by me though. XD

WTF! So you're telling me I can't turn off any anonymous comments/reviews anymore?! Oh screw this, this was one of the reasons I like from ff.net. The obvious reason I turned off the anonymous reviews is to evade trolls or haters from flaming/bashing any of my stories. And now the adms don't want us doing that I don't know for what reason they want to do this. Maybe I should start moving all of my stories to another site where they appreciate author's freedom of choice. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to avoid flames from anonymous users because it annoys me to no end. For example you just finished the first chapter of your new story and you highly anticipate a nice review and when you get one and you see what it says, it's nothing but a flame like" your story blows or it sucks don't update anymore" yeah those are softcore samples compare to the ones I have gotten.
Right now this has made my day pretty bad I just want to

*Takes deep breath after counting 1 to 100* okay I have calm down I am sorry if I over reacted or if I have said anything bashful but this really bugs me in a bad way. Why are they doing this? Are the ff.net adms really want to p***** off the writers and the fans? Do they want to lose the fanbase and the authors including the ones who've been more than 5 years with an account to said site? Sound like that's what they have plan, good luck if you want to lose popularity ff.net.
