Rasenshuriken could take him out.

highly doubt that could defeat my favorite villain. smile.gif

I'm also going to say something, that a lot will find to be foolish, but here it goes.

Kabuto will be good in the end.

He has healed Hinata and Sakura so far. I think he is hiding something from us.

I want to know your guys opinion about this long essay I stumbled upon on the internet.

Basically this essay was that Shikkotsurin is a place for crows.
So Myobokuzan=Frogs
Ryuichidou=Snakes
Shikkotsurin=Crows

Shi=Humid
kotsu=Bones
Rin=Forest

The reason this "Humid Bones Forest" is a place for crows is because
1.) Crows live in forests with high humidity
2.) When they eat they eat all the flesh leaving the bones, making it a bone forest

And it also says in ancient Japanese mythology crows defeat the dragons. (I don't know anything about ancient Japanese mythology so don't ask confirmation for me there)
Therefore Itachi is the third sage....

What do you guys think of this essay?

First, I thought the idea was absurd but it's not like this essay doesn't make sense at all.
If this was true I think I will force myself to become an Itachi fan because reading Naruto will be so much more easier for my brains lol.

dry.gif dry.gif Do they even know Naruto loves Sakura?? or even read up on Sakura feelings towards him? jesus christ

They sound like they just got into reading that manga and missed out on lot of kitten.

but its all right because i talked to plenty of fans of the series who don't support any pairing but still thing NS is the most likely given whats been written in the manga

I am not sure, but if I had to make a guess I would have to say it is based around the fact that Hinata has gotten more face time recently then Sakura has. Plus her fact that she has this resolve to be Naruto. Plus they think the confession was fake. At least that's what I can piece together.

I've been thinking about Itachi's crow abilities because its not an Uchiha ability so that means he picked it up from somewhere. But if its true then that would suck since the possibility of Sakura being a slug sage will be gone. If the third sage mode is indeed the crow, that would upset the "Slug, Snake, Frog" combination. Anyway I know there's a mythical japanese creature called Yatagarasu. Its a three-legged crow. Maybe that's the one you said defeated a dragon. I'll check it out.

But Myobokuzan doesn't seem to have anything related to toads in its name too. So it's still possible for Shikkotsurin to be the home of the slugs.

If this mythical Yatagarasu, which I don't know what it is, defeated the dragon, then that essay makes more and more sense. Since, it would make sense that something defeating a sage-dragon is a sage-something. And Itachi did say, he was Kabuto's only weakness.

I know it because of playing the Shin Megami Tensei series on the PS2 which incorporates a lot of mythical creatures and deity from different cultures. It doesn't matter how you know it really.

Me and a couple of guys talked about Naruto last night. Surprised me cause I thought I was the only one who liked Naruto. Honestly, their opinions think that if Sasuke turns "good" in anyway then the manga is a lost cause. They like Itachi, but feel that he needs to stay dead for once.

Weird thing is, they think Hinata is more useful than Sakura. I threw in my two cents saying that I find Sakura more helpful because at least she can hold herself in a fight. They said, well she is a medic, but she can't fight. I sarcastically said, in a nice way, "Right, cause Hinata really showed Pein a thing or two about messing with people." I just politely disagreed and said I find Sakura more helpful.

They also think Naruto is going to end up with Hinata, but I once again said "Sure, but I think Naruto has to like Hinata that way first." I tried not be a pro-NaruSaku rabid fan because I know how annoying it can be when you just want to have a discussion. They are not a fan of any pairing themselves, they just read the manga and enjoy. So their opinions are based on what they see or think.

Since there are so many panels in the manga of Naruto and Hinata together showing the development of the pairing and he's falling in love with her (yeah right there sarcasm). These people really don't know how to see a pairing development when they don't see one, they're only being convince of what Hinata thinks because she always has Naruto in her brain.

That reminds me of a time I discussed Naruto with other people. Get this: they didn't even see NaruSaku as a possible pairing until I mentioned it.

To each their own I guess. mellow.gif At least they see it when you mentioned it. happy.gif

QUOTE (Derock @ Mar 23 2012, 04:45 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I'll give people advice: out of all of people I talked to about Naruto, there will be Sakura bashing and Hinata "Must get Naruto" discussion wherever you mention stuff about pairings. Besides myself, 2 or 3 other people I know whom loves Sakura to death. But the rest, they just talk about her like a dog because of Sakura's portrayal throughout the story.

But there are some reasonable people when we were talking about this week's chapter. You will have to thank Paradox for making the theory of Karin being an Uzumaki, which I was surprised and had that funny feeling the theory was believable and canon. But the whole Itachi/Sasuke fight with Kabuto: while its very interesting thanks to Kabuto's new abilities, I couldn't just read the whole chapter because Sasuke is once again present, trying to becoming a "good guy", helping with Itachi. I swear this fight better have Sasuke going down crazy mode as a bad guy for his fight with Naruto or this won't be tolerable in my eyes.

Tsunderes get no love with most western fans. They just DON'T understand the concept facepalm.png

QUOTE (ciardha @ Mar 23 2012, 04:46 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I've seen this fairly often in people who only watch the anime, don't read the manga. The anime really distorts things to make viewers think Hinata is far more significant than she is, and has vastly underplayed Sakura's actions since the end of the fight with Sasori. The most extreme of this was during the destruction of Konoha arc. They absolutely distorted that arc out of canon.... Underplaying and changing Sakura's one punch kill of the giant centipede summons into just stunning it and having the witnessing ninja acting blase rather than stunned by Sakura's instant kill of it. (then having it menace Shikamaru and Kurenai in a total filler scene) They turned Hinata's total nonfight with Pain into a battle and inserted a reaction of Naruto that wasn't in the manga. While at the same time they underplayed Sakura's calm leadership at this moment of great crisis...

Well the Sakura kills centipede thing doesn't matter cause not many others could have done that anyway. With a PUNCH. cool.gif Hinata's fight DID give her too much credit for sure, but justified that they had to keep the episode going for half an hour. Had to milk it for all it's worth.

gonna have to explain that logic to me because thats like saying Narutos mastering the Rasenshuriken is not that big a deal because its something that NO ONE could do.

Honestly, I had no idea what tsundere was before I joined the forums. I can see most anime-only watchers (like I was) being confused of the concept.

But it doesn't make it right for them to rub it in our faces how NH is canon, because it's clearly not ---- they're missing one important aspect.

I was rereading the series and happened upon Kabuto about to (possibly) kill Sasuke because he didn't want Orochimaru to enslave him like Kabuto was enslaved. It was also shown that Kabuto was actually scared of Orochimaru.
Kabuto seems to have been corrupted since then and fallen under the influence of great power. He's always had his own agenda, but no one has known exactly what it is.

This is why I love Kabuto.

They could done the same thing with Sakura- instead of diminishing it, they could have followed canon, then added more awed reactions from the witnessing ninja with comments about how she was the Hokage's apprentice, etc...

No one else was, they were fleeing in terror- including Chunin and Jonin ninja, and those ninja were absolutely stunned when she killed it in one blow. What she did was on the same level as Naruto's dispatching of an animal summon- and western readers just raved about how awesome that was, while Sakura's was ignored by them and diminished by Pierrot... They also ignored the impressive leadership actions of Sakura in a moment of supreme crisis and intense anxiety for Sakura- she saw Naruto had gone 6 tails and Yamato was away on a mission. Yet Sakura calmly is able to get the situation under control for everyone but Naruto, and have people that outranked her and were older than her follow her without any question. Pierrot could have have played that up, but they underplayed it instead. Sakura is the sole female main character and the story's heroine (by Kishimoto's own words), if any female character should have had filler that built her up even more it was Sakura...
