I don't know whether it's a good thing or a bad thing that I've been completely out of the loop regarding The Legend of Korra until my sister told me that it premiered. On the upside, completely no spoilers and maximum enjoyment! I'm still getting used to the whole new metropolitan city... it was such a shock when I first saw it that I'm not completely sure if I like it. Then again I have a certain bias toward the original ATLA setting, so that might be it too...

Also, no shipping wars for me! Cuz I see absolutely no chemistry between ANY of the characters *hides*. Honestly, when you guys mentioned the whole Mako/Korra ship, it got me scratching my head because I didn't see that coming at all... not even the end scene of episode 2 gave me anything to go by for shipping :/ Oh well... I'm eagerly awaiting the next episode to air to see where this new series goes...

Agreed. Heck, as far as I'm concerned, BoKorra makes about as much sense as MaKorra.

I just noticed, Aang's second element..or the element besides his native, he was most skilled in was water. Married to a waterbender. Korra likes fire...

Also, I would rather like to see Bolin continue with the "ladies in his arms" habit, or else I feel like it'll be out of his character and not that funny anymore.

I will judge the clips when I see them on the actual show. Until then, as of right now, as of how much the show has aired (only 2 episodes), MaKorra isn't ahead or behind. No pairing is.

I don't ship until I see their chemistry, if they have any. But I do have predictions of them.

What I am really excited about is the avatar state and Aang, will we ever see him again, like we saw Roku? And will we be reminded of A:TLA, the council have a boomerang-symbol at their table.

This episode made short work of my fears that The legend of korra would only have battles with small amounts of bending.
I'm also reasonably sure that Amon may not be the main antagonist of the story.

I'm guessing we'll see Aang or the avatar state (possibly both) next week.

cause if thats the cause mako and korra are getting togther.

the avatar creators like to make love obvious.....like katara and aang.

and if you havent watched episode 3.......then watch it and embrace the mako.

I suppose they won't rush it. But from episode 3, I'm getting the feeling that korra and mako are going to be really awkward with each other. And I'm impressed, I aways got the feeling that Mako was just the quiet cool guy of the series, but he actally have an lot of personality.

Will I be crucified if I say that I liked Zutara in the past? xD I felt that Aang/Katara was a little forced, and i liked more the gradual development that Zuko and Katara had. So far, I've had alright luck with choosing canon pairings. I think this one if the only one I prefer that isn't.

Makorra is nice as well, although I think its being way too rushed. Despite that, I like this ship ^^

Also, I'm not really liking the 20's era thing going on. I preferred ATLA, as it had a more 'historical' feeling, if you get my meaning.
