I'm back....after a whole day.

St. Patty's was fun. We ended up just going to a house party since the bars were so packed. I was fine with that, since me and big crowds don't really mix. It was much easier on my wallet too.

Sunday was another story. My family came up to the Twin Cities to pick my brother up from college, and we had lunch together. The meal was nice, but I think I caught something during lunch. Right when I got home, I decided to take a nap, and woke up with a fever. I didn't feel too well the rest of the day, and basically spent all afternoon/evening in bed. Around 3 am last night (or this morning, LOL), I decided there was no way I was going to make it into work, which is why I'm posting on my blog in the middle of the day.
Anyhoo, I was basically over my fever when I woke up this morning. At the peak of it, I had this weird dream/hallucination I was reading a spin-off manga featuring Bixlow from Fairy Tail. That was sort of random. I'm still light-headed, but hopefully I'll be over it by tomorrow, so I can go to work.

I feel like there was something else I wanted to post, but I'm too tired right now. I should probably eat something eventually too, since I haven't eaten anything since lunch yesterday.

I need to do laundry this week, but I had a green sweatshirt I was wearing Saturday night. Which was a poor decision actually, since it's been so friggin' hot in Minnesota lately.
On a related note, we noticed a few girls were wearing tie-dye instead of actual green at that party. I call foul on that one, LOL.

I think I'd rather have a Goron Tunic right now. It's WAY too hot for MN March over here.

LOL, I know, right? I woke up just thinking, "...the hell?..."

I can't remember what it was about, but I imagine it would be something along the lines of Bixlow getting into all sorts of hijinxes with his dolls, and Freed and Evergreen trying to resolve everything before it gets out of hand. Unfortunately for them...IT ALWAYS GETS OUT OF HAND!

Not much else to say. I haven't felt like doing one of these in a while, but since there will hopefully be a new chapter of Bleach tomorrow (*knocks on wood*), I'm finding myself in a Bleach mood again.

Dordoni Alessandro Del Socaccio



Other names/titles: Dordonii....(long name), Arrancar #103, Privaron Espada

Zanpakutou:: Giralda (Spanish for "Weather vane", as well as the name of a cathedal in Seville, Japanese reads as "Storm Baron")

Reports to: N/A (though ranked lower than regular members, Privaron Espada don't seem to report to any of the current Espada)

Character Description: He's very tall by Japanese standards (actually the same height as yours truly, LOL) at 6' 3", and has a spiky beard and moustache. His Hollow bone is a weird forehead protector-looking thing that has spikes at the corners, and he has spiky black hair. Like a lot of Arrancar, his outfit is similar yet different to the standard white Arrancar get-up. He has fluffy things on his sleeves, a sash at his waist, and his overall outfit just looks poofy.
After releasing his zanpakutou, his Hollow Bone extends around his face, and he gains armor around his body. Probably the weirdest feature, IMO, is two giant birdish Hollow looking things that grow out of exhaust ports in his legs. He uses them to beat people up and stuff, but apparently they aren't that useful against main characters.

Personality: He's sort of a goofball. He likes to dance around, and daydream about days of grandeur and such. In combat though, he can be very serious. He enjoys a good match, and seems to prefer making sure his opponents fight him at full strength. He has a more developed sense of honor than most Arrancar, even though he is still not above attacking children to get his way. Which...probably doesn't make much sense.
He also seems to understand that Aizen doesn't care about his underlings, but still serves under him, desiring to "stand at the top" once again (being a former Espada).

We first see Dordoni as Ichigo and Nel are running down some random hallway in Las Noches (Aizen's main base) on their quest (at least Ichigo's) to save Orihime. On the way, Dordoni appears and starts acting like an idiot. He capers, and sings, and falls off a railing in his silly quest to make himself look cool. Ichigo is having a tough time taking him seriously so far. Dordoni then introduces himself as Arrancar #103, which makes Ichigo take him even less seriously. Thus far, all of the Arrancar we've seen have been single digit, or in the low 10's or 20's, so this guy must be a real weakling right?

Wrong. Dordoni teleports behind Ichigo and cuts his shoulder like a boss. Ichigo tries to attack him again, and Dordoni easily repels him. To alleviate Ichigo's confusion, Dordoni explains that he is a "Privaron Espada" (Spanish for "Deprived Sword", Japanese for "Ten Fallen Blades"), a title given to a former Espada that still serves in Aizen's Arrancar Army, and his "Tres Cifra" (thee digit) signifies this status. Basically, this means that he is, for all intensive purposes, only bested by the current Espada in strength.

He proceeds to own Ichigo for a bit, telling him to use his Bankai (full power). After a bit more ownage, Dordoni releases his zanpakutou, and gets these weird maybe sentient, maybe not bird things coming out of his feet. Bah?!? Anyways, Dordoni continues to overwhelm Ichigo, all the while goading him into using his Bankai. But Ichigo doesn't wanna! He's gotta save it for Grimmjow and Ulquiorra and Aizen and all them! Ichigo sort of gets the upper hand for a little bit, but then Dordoni fires off a big ol' Cero at him. Nel, a little kid right now, jumps in the way and EATS the cero. What?!? She then fires it back at Dordoni, only to have it do nothing. Dordoni proceeds to attack Nel, but Ichigo arrives in the nick of time, now using Bankai. Good, maybe Dordoni will shut up about Ichigo using his full power now.

Nope. Dordoni somehow knows about Ichigo's Hollow powers, and tries to goad him into using them. He even goes so far as to attack Nel in Ichigo's arms. When Ichigo asks him if he is ashamed of this tactic, Dordoni responds by saying that not being able to see Ichigo at full power would be the greatest shame of all, and he is not above using Ichigo's 'weakness' (protecting his friends) in order to witness Ichigo at 100% strength. Ichigo finally relents, and tells Dordoni he will show him his full power, but only for an instant. Ichigo then hollowfies, and a mask appears over his face. Dordoni laughs at the thrill of being able to see Ichigo at full power, and is ecstatic for the fight about to take place. His joyful raucous suddenly stops, however, as a huge gash appears across Dordoni's body, knocking him unconscious. Ichigo then removes his Hollow mask, reminding him that he would only show him his true power "for an instant".

Dordoni wakes up later covered in Nel's drool, which seems to have healing properties. Gross. In any case, he gets up, still ready to fight Ichigo, despite still being injured from the fight. Ichigo destroys his sword and runs off, right as Rudobone (another Arrancar in Aizen's Army) and his Exequias soldiers appear. He is last seen fighting them off to help Ichigo escape, and is implied to have been killed during this fight.

Other notes: Even by Arrancar standards, Dordoni's character seems to be given a heavy amount of Spanish motifs. He refers to Ichigo as "Niño", Nel as "Bebe", and Rudobone as "Jovenzuelo". His appearance is fairly similar to a Golden Age Spanish nobleman, and he even comments on Ichigo reminding him of the "Holy Mother". In the English Dub of the anime, he is the only canon character to be given a Spanish accent.

Like the rest of the Privaron Espada, he is implied to have been an Espada since before Aizen's acquiring of the Hogyoku, which enabled him to transform Hollows into Arrancar. This implies that Dordoni became an Arrancar naturally, rather than through artificial means, like most of the Arrancar characters in the series.

Anyhoo, I don't have too much to report. I had to work today, since I had off yesterday (weird weekend schedule this week, ha ha). A friend of mine is having a bonfire at his house, so I'll probably go there tonight. Us Minnesotans and our crazy hobbies.

Anyways, it was fun, but my buddy's girlfriend got into a fight with her friend over something or other, so we ended up leaving around 11, since he was our DD. I guess I got pretty plastered beforehand, but the night still ended a little earlier than I would have preferred.

Oh well, she's making us dinner tonight, so I'm not too upset over the whole thing.
