Hey, Naruto doesn't have a problem with it, in the end, we're just over-analyzing it.

In fact, if Naruto demands their apology, it'd be OOC.

To Naruto, their acceptance of him is much better than any apology. Remember Naruto's face when the entire village greeted him after the Pein Invasion Arc? That utter look of happiness that came from their welcome? He's fine with it. <- Understatement of the year....

remember when the dark naruto came out and stared talking bad about the villagers saying "now they like me...when im their hero."

but really the villagers started liking naruto waaay before the ambush. they started to acknowledge him and he didnt know it. if you noticed people stopped giving him looks a LOOOOONG time ago.

he thought it was sudden but it wasnt, and realizes that. thats probably why he forgives them.

i think it was true. but accepting anger and the truth are different things.

naruto needed to forgive the village, which he did. and thats why the dark naruto failed to win him over.

naruto even hugged the dark naruto and said " its all right"

Hi there, I don't really post here, however I'm just popping up to remind you of Naruto not being entirely willing to sign his autograph at Ichiraku. Note that was the 'real' Naruto as opposed to dark/yami Naruto.

Other people were confirming this, but I felt that scene was the easiest way to show Naruto still had lingering issues with the village.

Like when you achieve something huge, but there's still a nagging part of your brain that keeps saying "You don't deserve this, you're never good enough."

I was re-reading the Pein arc this past week. Reminded me of the points that you two are making.

Chapter 426 (pg 14-17) shows the gradual acceptance and care that the villagers have for Naruto. It started well before the Pein attack. Even though he is away from the village a lot during training and missions, he *has* to have noticed a difference.

When Naruto thinks about his past isolation, the image is almost always sitting on the swing by himself, in the shade of a tree. Most of his resentment was for his classmates, so when his peers accepted him (during the Chunin exams?), I have to believe that most of his resentment was healed.

When he's talking to his dad (ch 440, pg 14) and feeling overwhelmed, his insecurity came spilling out. "If you hadn't noticed, I'm pretty stupid! I'm not even that good of a ninja!" Even after surpassing Jiraiya as a sage, those feelings were still inside of him (as dark Naruto pointed out). But he gains strength from the faith others had in him, and doesn't let those fears rule him.

Dang it, I forgot no Naruto this week, well that just means we got another week and a half to make speculations on how the Kages vs Madara fight will go, and hopefully, some development into the future Naruto/Sasuke fight, but that might not come in the next chapter.

Well Kishimoto DOES need time of for relaxation and to make the chapters more interesting. He needs to spend time with his wife and kids too Anyway I'm sure it will be worth the wait!

Uh, I think we will be getting a chapter this week, I'm not entirely sure however I think there was a mix up between Naruto and One Piece (where OP has a break again).

Of course I may be wrong.

So I'd say there's a very, very good chance there was a mix up between OP and Naruto.
