Oh, oh! How about this theory? The guy that has Naruto isn't Madara but then that guy suddenly gets attacked and the guy who attacked the guy who was holding Naruto was Madara then he turned on Kushina when they actually thought that he was helping ... *gasp* then suddenly the guy who got Naruto ended up being <insert name> and Madara said he wanted to get Kyûbi first ... Oh my god I make no sense =D

this is a flashback,
which we are viewing from Kushina's perspective/mind,
that she is relating to the Naruto in front of her,
who is inside the mind of the Naruto who has tamed the beast, mastered the other stuff,
who is inside the body of the real Naruto
that is meditating in front of a slightly freaked-out Yamato.

Mikoto just jinxed her son by saying "I hope they become friends." How the worst foes in their world. Maybe Kushina can tell Sasuke's mom to really give her son a serious but whipping. I guess. I don't know. Just a guess. Well in kinda help Naruto. Maybe he can try to reach Sasuke again and tell him that his mother really wanted them to be friends. Then Sasuke finds out the hard way with his own mother coming to him in his dreams or vision. Okay I'm done. Just being stupid.

Um, sorry to correct but Kushina said she hoped they would be good friends, not Mikoto.

Well, this chapter certainly answered a lot of the questions I've had since I started reading the manga.

Why does Naruto have those whiskers? Mom's a jinchuuriki.

Why was the Kyuubi so far away from the village when it attacked? Because Minato and Kushina were far away from the village when Naruto was born.

Why did the Sandaime care about Naruto so much? Not only were Naruto's parents village heroes, his wife died protecting the boy.

Is that swirl mark Naruto wears a clan symbol? Big freakin' yes!

I do think most of you guys and gals are jumping the gun by saying that Mikoto betrayed Kushina. Just like I think you might all be wrong about the Uchiha plotting a coup. We've only gotten that information from unreliable narrators, and second hand at that.

I think that was the Third's Wife. So make that Ino yelling it to Naruto when she's delivering Sakura's kids.

Or Temari..... Since Kishi did say that he's planning on making Shikamaru as Naruto's right hand man/chief adviser and since Shikamaru is one of Naruto's closest friends, there's no doubt Shikamaru will also want to be there for Naruto. Temari will also no doubt come along. That is if Shikatema becomes canon and they have kids first before Naruto & Sakura does. As for Ino, she'll probably be the one monitoring Sakura like Taji did. Besides, it seems fitting for Temari to say that.....

Heh, when I was reading the childbirth scene, it certainly came across that Kishimoto was putting a bit of his own life experience in there-Kishimoto does seem to come across as the type guy who would have been there with his wife when she had their daughter, but panicking about witnessing how painful childbirth was for his wife (and in retrospect making fun of himself for being a panicky mess) It nicely humanizes Minato too- makes him that much more charming, he's also such cute goof when he's all emotional about being a dad, Kushina's much more calm and in control once Naruto is born (despite the pain and exhaustion) but still overjoyed to see her baby.

Hmm, that would be quite funny & interesting. I hope someday Kishi confirms it (while being embarrassed and all) and I also think that the role of Biwako was inspired from his mother or mother-in-law.

An offtopic question, are there any dads on this site? if there are, how did you guys face your wife's first childbirth?? are there any memorable moments you want to share?

BTW, I also wonder if the cover itself is also their family picture that they left for Naruto??

Almost forgot, it's chapter 500 everybody!! congratulations, Kishi!!!

Yeah but for all we know her Mother/Father did not have the whisker marks either, we've never heard her say 'He has whisker marks just like my....' This would suggest Tsunade's father/mother did not have the Marks, and if they did, Tsunade would have realised that Kushina was the Jinchuriki of the Kyuubi...infact we have not had any indication that Tsunade ever knew her grandmother was a Jinchuriki.

And why wouldn't the whisker marks be passed down from one generation to the next, just look at the Uchiha who have been passing down the Sharingan for a millenia.

Also Mito was already an adult when the 1st fight of the Valley of the end happened, so Tsunades Senju parent could have already been born...

I can't believe I forgot all about it congratulations on 500 chapters of your manga Kishi we hope that his isn't the last year for Naruto. You will always be one of the best mangakas in shonen genre manga.

I also think now that the reason Minato was made Hokage was partly because of Kushina. Remember that Motoi said Jinchuurikis were relatives or spouses of the Kage as a show of power and authority as well as preventing defection of the Jinchuurikis. I think the 3 elders nominated Minato for that reason only. But of course, Hiruzen also agreed but not because of Kushina but also because Minato was the 3rd Ninja war hero.

Well, if the pattern continues as it's gone with the other Fox Jinchuriki then that'll be what happens. Mito married The first, Kushina married the fourth, so Naruto'll marry the Seventh?

Sakura dose fit Hokage when cones to getting things done like paper work. I pretty sure she also has what it takes to protect the village. She probably still be a Haruno though. I don't really see any marrages in the series just couples being labeled as lovers and not husband and wife. Maybe except clans like Uchiha and Hyuga.

I think Naruto will be Hokage and Sakura will be vice Hokage or his partner in ruling the village taking care of all the paperwork and political relations with other villages.

I find strange that Kushina doesn't add the "kun" to Minato's name, just like Sakura does with Naruto's name. I'm not saying anything with that, it's just another coincidence.
