Is that an old post of yours? It makes sense that his chakra would have to be special in some way for him to hold the Kyubi's power. Even Yamato made the comment about his own abilities allowing him to hold in the Kyubi's chakra. Naruto is definitely somehow connected to the first hokage and in turn he's also related to the Uchiha... So he'd be officially apart of Sasuke's family. Interesting.

Unfortunitely we'll never know, Kushina mentioned Minato wanted to use her Chakra inside the seal incase he ever needed it, so we have to go with that for now, but it makes perfect sense if the Kyuubi was extracted the way it was.
Nah, remember the Eyes went to Uchiha and the body went to Senju, so very likely the Negato family tree consists of both clan members somewhere in the tree, but the red hair could be something to do with Senju clan.
True but thanks to Kakashi 'the genius who gets more things wrong than right' saying that the Chakra, Stamina etc was because of the Kyuubi people believed it to be canon (But then again there are still people who believe Madara had nothng to do with the Kyuubi attack.) Let's see He said Naruto's insane Chakra/Stamina is because of the Kyuubi, but when Snake-eyes sealed the Bijuu completely he still had enough Chakra levels to produce hundred of Clones, to get the scroll, and then defeat Kiba. He also said Naruto's healing is because of the Kyuubi, disproved at the same time as the stamina. And then he said that the Sage of the Sixth path was nothing more than a myth, even after it had been proved to be correct. (I'm starting to think out of all the Konoha Genius's from the last three Generations, only Minato and Itachi fit the discription.)
You know I just realised something what if like how Kushina had her Chakra within the seal, what if the Sage of the Six paths sealed away part of his powers inside the Kyuubi, knowing that someday his powers would be needed, and the person who managed to defeat the Kyuubi and make it's Chakra their own, would have to be someone who lives by his ideals, and would be worthy of his powers?
Afterall if there were prophesie being made about Naruto decades before he was born, then would it be out of the realm of possability that the Sage also got a prophesy about one of his decendants?

Why can't he focus on the main plot of the story and reveal those things at the same time? Have you ever thought that the things I mentioned could contribute to the whole war? The war could introduce some new characters such as the great village's versions of the rookie nine, the rest of the seven mist swordsmen, the leaders of the small villages leaders, ect. they could contribute to the story by having them play parts in the war. The story would be incomplete if they don't show the rest of the advanced elements, seven mist swordsmen, and some other stuff. The only way I see a Minato Gaiden is if there's a part three after it like part two came after the Kakashi Gaiden, and that's highly probably unlikely. Also, I really think that Naruto will not get a different version of the tailed beast transformation from Bee, I don't care if people think that it'll make more demonic than heroic and Bee's skin appeared to appear as if nothing happened to it during his fights with Sasuke and Kisame when he reverted back to his normal state. And am I the only one who thinks that the whole Naruto figuring out how to bring peace to the world is laughable stupid?! It's impossible because everyone on this planet is insane to a certain extent! It's in human nature to commit acts of violence and hostility toward one another! Not to mention that this is an action manga! It doesn't make any sense for an action genre manga to be preaching world peace that only idealistic fools believe in! I could go all Christen Bail at any moment!

It makes perfect sense in an action manga, this isn't an American superhero comic book. People aren't just creatures of violence and hostility or Gandhi, Martin Luther King, the Dali Lama, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Jeanette Rankin, etc... would have never been born, the human race would have never survived if most people's capacity to love and forgive didn't outweigh their capacity for hatred and violence. (As John Lennon sagely

It's that very balance that makes most soldiers come back from combat with post traumatic stress- it isn't natural for people to be killing each other. If peace wasn't possible then England would still be at war with France, etc... If we were all creatures of hatred and violence then no one would have created charities, no one would reach out and want to help people they don't even know in a country on the other side of the world, even to a country their leaders might even be hostile to.... (Like after 9-11 even people in Iran had a public mourning ceremony for all the people that died from that act of terrorism in America.)
Kishimoto is showing this message the best I've ever seen in a fiction story, with the realistic inward struggles that a person coming to value and see as the most important thing that can be done, and the struggle to get others on board with that goal, even people that inside agree with that goal but have become too cynical- like what Gaara quietly told the other Kages. Those words made a surprising impact on the most cynical one- the Tsuchikage, but this happens in real life too- an inner reawakening.
When you go to war, both sides lose totally- Yoko Ono
Remember, our hearts are one. Even when we are at war with each other, our hearts are always beating in unison- Yoko Ono 2009

While I didn't think it was laughable I just thought it felt like Kishi might have written himself into a corner if Naruto became a pacifist, but he didn't go that route, if he had then I probably could've seen why it bothers you, because then it would've been preachy. Ever since the Pain arc it hasn't been mentioned all that much again. Not once did Kishi present THE ANSWER to war, he only presents people who hope for a peaceful world. It's about continuing to find peace vs. just slaughtering and taking what you want. Naruto's stories are about people who have dreams and about people who might be entering into war, if I were in a country that was about to go to war or has been through many wars or was at war I would also hope for world peace too, no matter how impossible it may seem. I thought it was an interesting philosophical point that was brought up that sets it apart from other 'action manga.' And while I like DBZ I also like my action with substance. Plus Naruto from day one has been filled with themes of trying to understand other people's points of views and where they come from so that bonds can be created, and if 'it's just an action manga' can be used as an excuse to not include philosophies about war than it's a manga for youth is my rational for there being a hopeful message vs a more pessimistic outlook on world peace. I'd much rather read about people and be surrounded by people who want to achieve peace despite the pessimistic views of others, for example Pain, than see some depressing manga on how we're all gonna die so everyone take what you want by force and never question it because that's how it is. And while I don't entirely agree with your opinion on world peace, I'm gonna leave that for a different thread since this is suppose to be about chapter 499 which makes no mention of war or peace.

Although if she died before the attack, how did she use her chakra to form the seal? I'm probably wrong.

It kinda shocked me when Kushina said that she was the previous Jinchuuriki, but in prevous chapter, she does tells Naruto about the Cloud kidnapped her because of her somewhat 'Special Chakra', is that special chakra is related to the Kyuubi? And when I was sooo damn eager to know her story, how Madara manage to get his hand on the Kyuubi 16 years ago, I need to wait for 2 weeks. Yeshh...how troublesome.
I didn't even realize though that the manga had reached to 500th chapters already...huh kinda funny when I not even realize it until you guys said about it in the forum...

Hey 400...

With Kishi's writing anything can make sense.

Although if she died before the attack, how did she use her chakra to form the seal? I'm probably wrong.
I don't know but I think she's going to explain in the next chapter.
I don't think so, he was referring to "that Jutsu" likely something else.

Yeah, likely it was Kyuubi's chakra but she did have a weird Jutsu she used to bind down Kyuubi.
