I guess it makes sense the bench scene was way back at chapter 3 so 503 will be quite obvious after five hundred chapters. Yeah looks like Kishi will leave the big surprise of Naruto tamming the Kyuubi by 500.

I highly doubt that we may see Sakura again around 503 for "Bench Scene 2.0". Unless Kisame/Akatsuki decides to show up around 501-02 for some trouble.

If Naruto tames the Kyuubi which he will I think it will be stupid and suicidal of Kisame to try and capture both Naruto and Bee at the same time. He may have a lot of chakra but there's no way he can take on two jinchurikkis at once especially when both have full control of their Bijuus.

It is possible Kisame will attack when Naruto is still in the fight with Kyuubi.

Weren't Kisame's orders by Madara to infiltrate cloud and capture Bee for real this time? I don't think he will capture Naruto it's obvious that Madara will make Sasuke capture him. Besides it's not just Bee and Naruto Kisame will have to fight but Yamato, Gai and Motoki as well unless if he has a death wish he will fight them all at once.

a_dance.gif I loved this chapter as well! I think this is the reason that Kishimoto writes so many chapters that are slow and provide so much story building information... to build anticipation for chapters like this! We were introduced to the idea of Kushina in chapter 367. We finally saw her in 382. Now, finally in Naruto's darkest hour (and pushing chapter 500!), she appears to help him conquer the demon that has haunted him all his life. I doubt Kishimoto will bring up Naruto's own love life at this point, as he had the opportunity to do so in the confrontation with dark Naruto. He also probably wants to keep all pairings fandoms alive until the very end. But.. who knows! Kishimoto can be as unpredictable as Naruto himself. However, this chapter gave our favorite pairing so many parallels that I must say that things are looking very good. As others have said, I think this now brings the bench scene to a new level of importance. Kushina recognized Minato as the man of her dreams for complimenting her least favorite part of herself. Naruto caused Sakura to have this same kind of "soulmate revelation" at the beginning, only she has never known that Naruto was the one that spoke those words. Maybe, now that Naruto knows this, he can let Sakura know that it was him. My thought would be that he says goodbye to her before heading off toward his final confrontation with Sauske and Mardara (a scene similar to the one between Jiraya and Tsunade). He might say it thinking that he might not return, just so that she knows how he has always felt. Only then will she finally put two and two together. It could be a dramatic, last second, catch her in his arms save, but Naruto has already done this 3 times (Gara, Pain, Sauske). However, nothing will be resolved until Naruto redeems Sauske (whether he lives or not) and defeats Madara. The parallels in this chapter are so great and have been recognized by so many here that I had to go back and build a visual reference. Enjoy, and I apologize if the quality is a little off. This is my first attempt at posting images. 111193.gif

NaruSaku Parallels

[attachment=492:NaruSaku...allels_1.jpg]
[attachment=493:NaruSaku...allels_2.jpg]

(Notice Sakura's look in the Bench Scene vs. Kushina being held by Minato... while her looks at Naruto have become increasingly affectionate, she has still not made that "soulmate revelation" look at Naruto)

[Also, I did not include Sakura's face in her confession to Naruto, as there were so many conlicting emotions and motives in that chapter that I'm not sure if Sakura was trying to convince herself or Naruto (this just planted the seed in Naruto's mind that maybe she really could love him)...........I still think it will take an inner Sakura "Get it through your head, I love you you baka!" club to the head, followed by a kiss for Naruto to accept she loves him]

Bee vs. Kisame Round 2

My thought is that Kisame will take Bee on again one on one after Naruto has begun training using his new chakra control. Naruto might have to show up and step in to demonstrate that he has surpassed Bee, possibly the final hurdle before mastering "that jutsu." I also think Guy will make an appearance somewhere along the line.

Am I the only 1 who think that Kushina might be a direct decendant of the senjuu clan? or at least related to them? Since if i remember correctly, only Senjuu-clan's chakra can control bijuu... wait... if that is true then... Naruto and Sasuke's battle is pretty much fated since their clans are mortal enemy of each other... right?

Kushina rubs the back of her neck when she's worked up, just like Naruto, too. Head tipped to the side, eyes a little squinted, slight blush, and a hand dragging across the back of their neck. Just cute.

Also, pink and orange only makes an orangey-pink, not really another color. But they mix perfectly with one another — one does not overpower the other, instead they blend together to form a unique hue of their original color. (Pink becomes more pink-orange; orange becomes more orange-pink.)

However, red and white make pink, and those are the colors of Sakura's symbol/clan - red top with white circle.

-----

Forgot to mention this earlier, I thought him hugging his mom was really heartwarming. I think it's the first time he's ever reached out to someone else in a genuine show of affection like that. Not like anyone else in the manga has, but we have two clear scenes of Sakura embracing him, and him not returning it at all. That's some strong love on Sakura's part to go on after someone doesn't even lift their arms to return even the appearance of affection or gratitude!

And not only did he hug his mom, he nearly tackled her. It was very sweet.

Oh yeah, this chapter also foreshadows Kiba getting a "scary girl" for his wife. If it's not a new character who appears in the war, it might be Ino since out of all the girls, she might gain a personality like that (courtesy of Sakura)

But it's kind of interesting that Kishimoto is clearly telling the audience through the hero's parents love choices, through Shikamaru's dad's words, and through Naruto's love choice (not to mention JirTsu) that having a strong, self-assured woman is a great love match. Not that the more meek Hinata-type love is not a great match, but Kishimoto is actively making the case for the hero falling in love with a strong, temperamental female.

Also, Naruto's clearly saying he thinks Kushina's appearance is attractive. Who does she favor more strongly than anyone else in the whole manga - Sakura. He's never expressed any interest in any other girl other than when he told Hinata he "liked people like you." So for him to say a girl with those features is a babe...it means Sakura is his type.

I'm sure he'll throw in more relationship curve balls before this is done, but the case is clearly made for NS on top of the acres and acres of character development.

Well the Senju founded Konoha so i don't see a connection with Whirlpool unless some of the Senju didn't go to Konoha but i would much rather see Kushina and Whirlpool as a clan of it's own as something refreshing from Senju vs. Uchiha mess Madara blabbing about. Kishi does need to explain more about Kushina's special chakra, family, and Whirlpool country itself. I'm afraid we may not know more though until the potential Minato Gaiden Arc comes out. sleep.gif
