Uhhh, Hidan would be dead by now... Why, you ask? Because his immortality jutsu only works if he keeps killing people, sort of like feeding the jutsu. So he'd probably be in there for a month or so and then die.

Christopher Walken!...Wha-? I'm sorry. It's kind of hard for Hidan to be a threat when he's out of chakra and burried in a million pieces. Why not let Kakuzu's tentacles find a couple hearts and bring him back too.

I still want to know about that special gift Itachi give Naruto since Sasuke is now going to get his eyes, I wonder if it will come into play soon.

I don't know. That may just go the same way that mention of Jiraiya's about not using 'that jutsu' before Naruto left for the H&E bridge.

If anything, maybe it's just the ability to cancel Itachi's own eyes, perhaps he foresaw the inevitable transplanting of his eyes into Sasuke's.
