I wasn't put out by it. I don't think it takes away from the story.

What little romantic tension there has been between the two has been steadily building. So a new storyline is not surprising. And if this is anything like FMA, then the lovey stuff will not take a front seat, so I don't mind it.

Yup, yup. Very true. yes.gif It's Arakawa's style to do that. And there has been a couple of hints she reciprocates Hachiken's feelings.

Although, considering the nature of the series and judging by how Arakawa's been writing it, I expect us and Hachiken being trolled. I expect seeing Hachiken go on a rant later when he finds out he was trolled, but at the same time seeing Mikage sporting some gentle smile that says "thanks for worrying about me".

Are they planning something behind hid back? headscratch.gif It seems suspicious. and that Festival seems interesting though I can't imagine any themes they would come with yet

As usual, loved the humour. XD They're as obsessed with food as ever! The Vice President (the dog) has definitely made a place for himself in the manga. happy.gif

It looks like we're finally shedding some light on what is troubling Komaba. I wonder if he's having trouble with his family because of baseball?

Oh I was so spoiled reading the last several chapters all at one go. I was so surprised when this one ended! And bummed! I just love this manga. It's so good and completely unique from FMA.

Same here. biggrin.gif It's a nice change of pace from the mangas I usually read, such as Naruto, Kenichi and Fairy Tail.

I bet that Chestnut isn't going because he can feel Hachiken's fear - note how Hachiken tenses up and pulls back before the first jump attempt. Hachiken is so afraid of failing that he's holding himself back. Hopefully, someone can help him overcome that last hurdle (no pun intended), and give him some much needed confidence in his own ability!

Silver Spoon 41 is ooouut!


It looks like Mikage and the others have given Hachiken some clues about his problem with jumping. The final scene between Hachiken and Mikage was rather cute, it's nice to see they've gone some way towards patching things up. happy.gif

I wish there could have been some way for the translators to show how Komaba and Mikage's dialects differ from Hachiken's city accent, but I guess it would be difficult to do that on paper without making them sound really exaggerated and comical.

Mikage's dad being all protective Oni-father is so hilarious..... You can tell he probably didn't enjoy bringing his daughter with a boy to the Equestrian Club. laugh.gif

Yeah, it's always great to see a new Silver Spoon chapter. biggrin.gif

I think Mikage's dad had an interesting reaction when Hachiken apologised for making her mad. I'm guessing that her father is probably concerned about her not opening up to other people, just as the former presidents of the riding club mentioned. Maybe he feels that his daughter is opening up more to Hachiken?

It's great to see that Hachiken and Chestnut made that jump, hopefully the landing won't be so rough next time! I like seeing the relationship between them. XD

Oh man, another chapter filled with Hachiken's exaggerated reactions. It's always so fun to see.

It's also excellent to see Arakawa's subtle character development style as brilliant as ever since FMA finished.
