Can't wait if there is a NS momment i'd probably go out and by that weeks shounen jump.

Just bought Volume 60 from viz, which has 573 in it. Seriously are Viz NH fans?

Oh, new volume is out? Huh? If you're referring to the last picture I saw, I don't see anything wrong.

How did they make Hinata's speech in? Can you write it?

We already know they cut out the part where Sakura said they were going to be together.

Yeah just ordered it on amazon. Ill have it tomorrow. The translations are different.

Managapanda translation

Compare that to the image below.

MangaPanda's has her saying about being together, whilst viz version is on about standing together and trust. Very similar....

I told you. Viz makes it too simple. They're like abridged though they can leave out something important note. It's like making a guessing game. I would probably agree with you about the biased, but the databook translation from them did surprise me in a way. Maybe that would have seal the deal that they are biased. Anyway, yeah, that's how it is, sadly. Again, good thing I can buy Japanese volumes and I do know Japanese.

But it has the mangastream logo on it. Mangapanda is just hosting their scanlation.

Mangapanda is not a scanlator is just a repository like mangafox.

The only thing i hate on mangareader is the fanart that they post on the begining i want to skip it all the time but it's impossible.
They pratically force you to see the fanarts when you're eager to read the manga.

Not to mention how they can spoil you at times. Like, "Hm, gee, I wonder why they show nothing but Hokages in the beginning..." in chapter 618.

I think it's mostly because it would be kinda hard to translate it in a way that makes sense for English readers?

今度はアタシが何を言おうが... 一緒に言おう... 私だけじゃない... 今度こそ皆で一緒に戦おう!
Literally "This time, I, no matter what (you) say... together... Not just me... This time everyone together fight!"

The "This time, I, no matter what (you) say... together..." is very vague and can be taken either by together as in romantically or that Naruto and Sakura will fight together (along with everyone else). In the end a neutral sentence. With Japanese you can be vague in your sentences and the listener can fill in the blanks for themselves (and I think Kishimoto purposefully made that specific sentence vague for his readers.) However sometimes it is hard to translate that vague way of speaking in English while still making sense. Viz could have just done a literal translation but it would sound awkward for some English readers. And if they translated like the fantranslations ("no matter what you say we will be together") it leans towards the romantic side instead of being neutral (in the end "filling" the blanks for the reader). So in the end they went with the easy route and just cut that part of the sentence all together. It looses some of its meaning unfortunately ):

That's basically what I was saying...

Mangapanda host different scanlation. They usually update their chapters when mangastream puts out.

Yeah, true, though why not do what fan translation has been doing. Are they scare that NS is where the story goes or what? I still don't know where "Sasori, my man" comes from. Oh well, the translation has the same meaning, but lost the impact, mainly "no matter what..."

Here's another translation by a neutral pairing fan of that panel:

"Naruto… you saved konoha… and now you are saving the whole shinobi world… it is always like this… we always entrust this very dangerous thing to you
… but this time I will fight with you… no matter what you say… together with everyone!"

I've been reading his translations for a very long time and I find him very reliable.

mmh, aegon-rokudo is nothing special but still a decent translator.

Mangapanda have a tendect to translat literally from original but his translator make some grammatical errors... Could be he isn't a native speaking?

Concerning Mangastream...well, after Hisshoburaiken's leaving, well... the quality of their translations, no matter what they say, is decreased a lot, much much lot... They're pretty similar to those's viz media, they have this annoying way of translating that have nothing to do with the original. Naruto isn't ABSOLUTELY like they translate..... Mangapanda, although it's full of errors, is the one that is more close to the original source.

Yeah it just sucks ): Viz wants the translations to be as easy to read for English readers as possible. But unfortunately in doing so they cut corners and add words. Cut corners if its too difficult to translate in a way that makes sense and add words to try to give the same "feeling" as the Japanese transcript. They are trying to "professional" translators and therefor make changes which can, sadly, lead to misunderstanding. "Lost in translation" if you will.

...or maybe it's like you said and Viz does indeed support NH xD

Yeah, it's why they are so confident in NH happening. Viz media supports their pairing and will translate accordingly. laugh.gif

Well I didn't say they do, but I feel like they're downplaying pretty much anything. Just be glad Yamato's unfinished sentence is the way it is: a mystery. I would have think that, but the databook translation is surprisingly accurate. Down to the point that Sakura doesn't know what she feels about Naruto, so kudos to that. Yes, that's the problem, making it easy for them to read.
