I actually was thinking MinaKushi when I typed that. Though there was that one time Minato slapped Naruto in RtN, but that was only when he was pushed to his absolute limit. Kushina hands out punches and insults like it's the easiest thing in the world lol. It probably is, for her.

The poor kids. You just know Naruto is going to let Sakura do her "strict/forceful" approach in raising them most of the time.

I do think there's an impression in Naruto universe that the wife will be the dominant one. I remember in DBZ, ChiChi steamrolled Goku (not literally) with words and Goku just whimpers. The funny part is when Piccolo said even a Super Saiyan cannot defeat his one weakness, or something like that. In RtN, Minato got scared when Kushina got mad. Then, after Minato slapped Naruto, Kushina recovered and Minato got really scared, convincing her that what he did was wrong and needed a slap to wake up. I find those scenes hilarious. I can picture Naruto wanted his son to train, but Sakura gets mad at him for overworking him and probably get his ear pulled. It's that chemistry.

New here, I see. Yes, we have the spoilers. Trust me, it's full of NS. What I just said above, well there's a video of it, but it's hard to find. All I remember is that Sakura was healing Kushina as Minato and Naruto talks to each other. Wow.

Indeed. Lately, he has been portrayed to be great with kids. In games, special chikara arc, which is good, and manga, though it happened back in 450. I guess they wouldn't mind Sakura to be his wife after seeing that hug, no?

It makes the most sense as well. Naruto with his unique smile with Sakura being "cured" by it and smile back. Love it.

Lmao. For me, it's if SasuSaku happens in canon. Seriously, that couple is so outlandishly terrible, asspulled beyond words, and so forced/amazingly out of character I will never be able to follow the manga/anime and seeing the NS/SS interactions without facepalming and seething with anger over how Kishimoto could go so wrong. Watching it will be a struggle that I cannot even describe.

As for NaruHina, yeah I will be incredibly angry and criticize it endlessly over how wrong Kishi did things but I don't think I'll necessarily quit the series. NaruHina's a bad pairing and definitely an asspull, but at least Naruto and Hinata were friends. They don't have as much damage and don't bring the large amount of disbelief that SasuSaku would bring if it became canon. It doesn't change the fact that it'll be bad writing, but it's at least not worth quitting for.

I love the Naruto series more than I hate NaruHina. However, I despise SasuSaku more than I love the series.

Same here. The moment SS becomes canon is the moment I drop this manga and forget it ever existed. If NH happens, I'll can still bear with the series until it ends, then move on.
If NS turns out to be the endgame, however, I would happily go back and reread the entire series just to relive Naruto and Sakura's growth together from start to finish.

I'm kinda curious. Did RTN have any affect over the fandom in Japan? Has NaruSaku become any more popular because of it, especially in the face of subsequent manga chapters such as 615?

and i remember when trailers came out nh and ss fans were like they were like yes nh and ss are gonna kick ns to the curb blah blah blah but when reviews come out the exact opposite happens i wish tokyokit when into more detail with the ns scenes but were gonna see the film next month

But I hate to say it, if NH happens, let's face it, it does lead to SS. So it's like a lose-lose situation. But yeah, I'm sorry but that will really damage the series a lot in my opinion. The problem is that the series has been pointing out the romance aspect, so now we know that is part of the story as well as being a factor of it. It's no longer just a battle Shounen. That said NS has been hinted to no ends. When that happens, it's hard to escape from that.

Now look, I could understand that SS could have work because of the premise. Here's the problem: the premise isn't the same as your usual one. First of all, Sasuke has not once have a close friendship or demonstrate strong bond with Sakura. In the other premise, it does. Second, Sasuke don't have a childhood relationship with Sakura to make it valid and make you feel sympathy with Sakura that her childhood friend turned evil. The actual premise does have that. Third, Sasuke must show at least three times that he does still feel close with Sakura but he is too dark, so therefore, his mind is on the wrong track; unfortunately, it's not there as well. He has shown no remorse or any care for her. Guess who though? Naruto. Yeah, wrong guy? Fourth, the character must have one person to focus on love, let alone only have one guy to speak to; therefore, she has only one direction. Sakura has two directions: Naruto and Sasuke. Therefore, she has more paths to choose and it's not given that he will be with that one person if she has another to choose. Lastly, Sakura is not THE main character, it's Naruto, who is in love with Sakura. Sakura's character is about learning the reality and correct the mistake.

It's been a while ranting on SS but I can go on longer. For now, I'll just stop there.

idk but does it really matter anymore cuz he trolled them in 616 plus tl21xx read to me the official translation for 615 from shounen jump alpha and it seemed very platonic rather then romantic

What a great time that'll be.

Eventually, I'll move onto another series and another OTP, but NaruSaku will always be in my top favs.

"The reality of Naruto falling in love with Sakura and eventually winning her over follows the themes of the story perfectly." True quote.) Another plus for this is that on a Facebook poll over the couples (non-canon or otherwise) shown in Road to Ninja had NaruSaku with over 1,000 votes, coming in only second to NaruHina (Which was, hilariously, only 47 votes ahead. Shocking, huh?).

Why this is so surprising? This was quite clearly a Western popularity poll full of NH fans. So it likes look either NS fans were coming out of hiding or the pairing is gaining dramatically in numbers because of this movie.

I have heard about that as well. Then again, I always found it to be that way: platonic. Lately, even more so, it seems Kishi's intention for NH is just about Hinata catching up to Naruto's level, which she now has. Can she love him? Sure. Will it be canon? No. It won't be the first for shy/side character to not win love and certainly won't be the last.

Even SS fan couldn't deny the awesomeness and parallel of NS/MK. It's really effective and there were tons of NS fanarts based off of RtN. There was a discussion board about how NS had a ton of focus and how some of them felt wrong believing other pairings. Oddly enough, this movie helped and caters to NejiHina fans. But yes, what you said is true, especially the top comment part.
