What I find funny is how so many take their opinion and think it is "fact."
"631 was a rejection from Sakura."
Wouldn't that mean that 616 is a rejection from Naruto sense he says he always wants to keep Neji in his heart; not mentioning Hinata at all?
These "perceived" realities are just plain ignorance sometimes and it is really disturbing a lot of times. It's funny how SS and Nh half the time piggy back off each other and even some SS and NH fans admit it. They have to join forces to "defeat" NS who they think is such a monster and yet we are only a fraction of their fanbases alone here in the states. I am not sad or mad, but rather laughing really hard that they truly feel like this. Are we, as small as we are, that powerful? It is kind of funny how they constantly say that "NS is dead since blah blah chapter" and yet still see us as this huge threat.
It is also funny how many will say how "obvious NH/SS is" and yet, if it is so obvious why isn't it canon by now or why like 90% of the bloody manga tells a completely different story?
"You know, Sakura is only going to end up with Naruto cause she can;t have Sasuke. That means that Naruto is her back-up plan."
Okay, but if Naruto can't have Sakura and he ends up with Hinata, wouldn't that mean Hinata is Naruto's back-up plan? While being the "fallback guy" is bad in general in my opinion, but why do these guys think that Naruto being the fallback guy for Sakura is a bad thing, but Hinata being the fallback girl for Naruto is a good thing? Isn't being the fallback love bad no matter what or do they just feel that because it is NH everything is okay? Hell, I bet if Hinata killed Sakura, did a satanic ritual around her corpse, wore Sakura's skin, and went to Naruto confessing her love saying "CALL ME SAKURA!!!!," I bet NH fans would call that true love too.
I also get it when NH/SS fans ask me like "Well, if NS is the canon pairing, why isn't it canon yet either? Why did Naruto reject her during her confession?" Fair enough, they have a point, but there is a reason for this and I can tell them why that I think a lot of NH/SS fans miss a lot of times.
If Naruto and Sakura got together at the time of Sakura's confession, then the pairing wars would be over and 615 would mean even less than it does now. The fact that Naruto didn't accept Sakura right then and there is because it would be canon by now. Hell, a lot of the moments since the hug scene could have easily pushed NS into the "canon" zone, but always fell just a little short. Maybe even being in the "almost there" zone makes it canon within itself if you think about it.
When you get to the point where even the other characters of the show are like "Just kiss already, jesus." Yeah, they are practically canon. That is the vibe I am getting at this point in Naruto. The other characters are practically screaming it in their faces to get together already. Especially Sai.
that's pretty crappy. Like Baka neko-san said, narusaku interaction have been on the down low. Kishi's attempts at invoking tension between pairings is ridiculous and Sakura's whole conflicted feelings have been drawn out long enough, i'd say. Kishi has a lot of loose ends to tie up
Actually, I find this method a lot easier to swallow than say a long standing Harem manga. Take all the moments you know of in the pairing drama in the Naruto manga. Now multiply that by 11 and make alot more frequent to the point that it happens a good 5 times per volume, or 10 times per anime episode. Now make that a central point of the whole plot. Got that? Good. Now the couple does get together till maybe the 3rd to last to last volume or the last episode of the anime.
By the second episode/volume, you and every character in the show are practically screaming at the top of their lungs "JUST DO IT ALREADY!!!!!"
