All I can feel is the pressure in my sinuses and the cold medicine kicking in and making me drowsy.

Yeah. That's one of my major fears with the movie, too. It's been what, two weeks now that the chapter came out. I still can't get over what they did to Sakura's character in 699. How can such a strong woman be reduced to a 12-year old fangirl again, easily swayed by a forehead poke that was supposed to belong to Naruto and Sakura. I should be over this. I should be able to come to terms with the ending. But every time I think about how they handled the SS and NS relationships, I just get so frustrated.

 

And your post touches on a big reason why I just can't allow myself to watch that movie.

 

In fact, this forehead poke belongs to Itachi and Sasuke, and I was shocked that Kishi "gave" it to Sasuke and Sakura. This means nothing for them. Nothing at all. On the other hand, he 'choose' to not pursue chapter 3 by letting Naruto say the fatal sentence to Sakura once and for all and letting her know it was him all along. What a miss !!!!

Just the thought of that physically sickens me. It gets even worse with the thought that Sakura pushes them together by encouraging Hinata, presumably as a way to not feel guilty. 

 

I really hope that it isn't the case. I really hope that all those mistakes everyone is pointing out in the last chapter are for a reason, and it turns into some kind of troll or something. 

 

In fact, I was sure Sakura would push Hinata with Naruto, or the other way around, but I used to think she would do that because she was feeling unworthy of Naruto. I think Sakura doing this is not OOC. What is OOC is Naruto not saying "It will always gonna be you, Sakura-chan".

Exactly. Why not show Salada meeting Sakura at the hospital? Or Tenten training with the Sage's tools? What was the point of even spending all those panels on the tools if they're just going to be a device to show how bored and unfulfilled she is?

 

The only explanation I have is either A) Kishi completely checked out and said "I don't give a F-" or to set the stage for some bogus part III narrative of "peace and we're all lazy and OH NO NEW ENEMY!"

 

It's because this is peace. So no need to train, no need to heal in hospital ( I know this is kitten but I think that's what Kishi wanted to say... =/ )
