Ain't it the truth, and what's sad is it just means it could hurt him in the end. Sometimes, mangaka who have bad endings end up with their careers being tanked. Sometimes it's not true, but you do gotta worry about that in ANYTHING you do fiction-related.

the thing is the rude NH and SS fans think we are the illogical ones, I read a comment saying SS and NH was a given since chapter 1....I was like, what the actual kitten!? .-.

It's funny and sad that when the Last was shown, we all prayed for not being connected like canon or whatever. Many reasons to be told but for me, I was praying not to be because one, you let the movie do the talking which should be in the manga no matter what; two, you pretty much announced the world that the end is planned, so whatever you see, it's canon, or in this case, if you see Sasuke alive, well because he is and not going to die, which ruins the enjoyment; lastly and most important one for me, you will tell me that you sold out.

Lol, Hinata wasn't even introduced until after the first arc. Which is weird, because the love interest of the main character is usually introduced in the first arc (even Chichi was).

I'm starting to think that's why SS is the most popular.

I'm with you, for me the manga ended in 698 the rest is just garbage ,and i will not ever accept NH and SS

 

 

 

You're welcome here. None of us are accepting it either. Naruto will always have ended at 698 for me. There is simply no point in the final chapter and epilogue other than to bump movie ticket sales and introduce the spin off. It's doesn't serve the story.

Thanks guys ^-^ It's nice here. I feel like this place is the logical side of the Naruto fandom where we actually care about the development of the story and its characters and not just the pairings. Yes, we do love NS, but at the same time we also care that our beloved characters don't lose all their development and go against everything they worked for.

I looked over some polls on facebook and tumblr posts etc. What I can gather is: worldwide, NaruSaku and SasuSaku are more or less similar. From Japan, SS is the most popular while NS and NH have very similar fanbase sizes. However, these polls (for Japan) don't include SasuNaru, so I don't know about that little factor.

 

Also, keep in mind these are just unconfirmed results from some websites.

 

Whatever route Kishimoto would have chosen, similar amounts of people would have ended up being upset.

FIrst of all, I'm not a new member, I was here since long time ago because of my love for NS. 
Then, I'm not a SS fan as I'm a NS fan, I just happened to like SS as crack shipping without thinking it could ever happen. So now that it did happen it sill makes me happy even if NS is dead romantically because of it. 
And finally, that place is open to every kind of shipper SS and NH included. So respect everyone's choice and don't come with "Why are you here if you're SS fan?" okay?
 
Seriously I'm tired of that "racism" towards those who accept the end pairing without complaining. It's not like I was rubbing in everyone's face "Look how beautiful NH and SS are! Accept it and throw away your crap pairing you loser!" Tired of being accused of things like I was an enemy for liking SS. I'm still part of this fandom, still and always will be a fan of NS because that's what made me discover that manga. 
 
And I won't go on the debate about abusive relationship, killing attempts etc.... because it's pointless and it's not the place to do so. 
 

That's what I hate the most about this pairing, their personnalities don't match at all. Whenever I think about thei relationship, I feel awkward for both of them.

I am sorry to offend you.

My issue was when you said you were happy to see it in the movie. I grew up in abusive home, so I tend to have strong feelings about it.
Hearing your mother cry and you being a 5 year kid powerless to do anything, it sticks with you.

The only ship I despise is SS. I think it's disgusting. For a woman to forgive it all and want to leave with him, is so sick. That jutsu he used on her should been it. I can tolerate that. This is what boys see. This says she will love you no matter how cruel you are to her. Manga and anime shapes boys mines. Sakura should be able to kick her sasuke habit.

I don't want you to leave. It just sounded like you were happy to see SS in the movie. I am sorry if I misunderstood you.

Then I guess I am no longer a Naruto fan...because I don't accept it at all. I don't have to accept anything anymore and I don't want to. I rather not be a Naruto fan anymore if it means I am forced to accept this. It's not even a matter of pairings choices, but rather a matter of principles. I am tired of always accepting everything because I have to. I am tired of being told off because I wanted something better.

If people want to just roll over and accept it, then that is their choice, but me? I guess I walk that lonely road, but it is the road I choose to walk.

All my life I always had to accept my fate. To accept all the garbage I was handed and being told to be "grateful" for it. No more. For once, I want to get what I want. I want to be happy just once is my blasted life instead of having to settle for this.

For here on out, I proclaim myself to be the real Naruto...and I will never give up or give in.

I acknowledge the ending, I have come to terms with how it ended, but like you I won't accept it because do to so makes me feel like I'm settling for less. I really did enjoy Naruto, but now I know that some of the things I loved about apparently weren't there. The author basically told me that It's my fault as a reader for supporting NS. All my disappointment in the last two chapters is all on me and I should just realize that my expectations for a great manga were far too high. I need to get over and accept the lackluster ending because it's canon. No, just no. If this is the case I feel that I'm a bigger Naruto fan for not accepting it. I will uphold the morals it had up until the end.

Then we shall walk together. Side by side. They can call us names or accuse of it all, but at least we won't be alone. I least I have someone who feels the same as I do about this. I love the series and I love Naruto too much to allow this to be it.

Everyone else can argue over what is the "right things to do," but I don't care. We threw away the "right thing to do" when people started being more selfish about love and honor.

Even though he is not real, the one I feel sorry for the most is Naruto who probably got the worst part of it all. I'm sorry, Naruto. If i could change it all for you I would because unlike everyone else in your life, all I ever wanted was your happiness. I wanted you to get everything because you earned it the most.
