here is a gear 4th theory that i read and kinda like:

 

 

"Basically we have Kinetic Energy, and we have Potential energy. G2 is the result of Kinetic Energy, so what I believe is that G4 is the result of Potential Energy....

I'm not gonna go and break down physics or anything like that, I am just going to offer a simple explanation as to what I think G4 is. After all, I think G4 is purely DF based, and has absolutely nothing to do with haki....Honestly, it doesn't have to be some long drawn out complicated mechanic....Especially since the simpler the answer, the easier it is for Oda to explain it.

It has been confirmed that since the two year time-skip Luffy has actually grown a few inches, but the thing that strikes me as odd, is that he doesn't look like he has grown at all....His body size and muscle mass look exactly the same as it did pre-timeskip. 

I believe Luffy has been compressing his body on purpose, storing Potential Energy.....Upon activating Gear 4, Luffy is going to return to his original size, releasing all that energy in the process....It will give him the speed of Gear second, and the destructive power of Gear 3rd.....

Think life return, but since Luffy is made of Rubber, his body stores all that Potential Energy, thats just waiting to be released.. Also, I think it would be kind of awesome, if Luffy had the idea of G4 ever since he saw Rob Lucci use life return back on Enies Lobby, but just never had the time to test it out, and see its results.....This will make G4 Luffy's last and final gear, but at the same time, all of his gears will have been thought up during the Enies Lobby Arc...

 

Oh also, this means that Luffy can't just bust out G4 whenever he pleases, because he needs to store up the energy in order to use it....The longer Luffy stores up his energy, the more powerful G4 becomes. This way it doesn't make it so G2 and G3 become completely useless...."

I take it that by this point I'm pretty damn close to catching up with the latest chapter. At the moment I'm on chapter 766, and I've been stuck on this cover page for at least 5 minutes. 

 

 

 

I take it the cover page is suppose to be a send off to Naruto's serialization end on Oda's part.  The Konoha dress Nami wears is actually a pretty good design and the fox I'm guessing symbolizes Kurama in some sense. I also take it that the person Nami is covering is Naruto? Overall I actually love the cover page to be honest, but I got to continue catching up just to see what all the hypes about when it came to the last chapter release.

Yeah, that chapter came out the same day as narutos last chapter, the cover was a tribute. Kishi's "tribute" to Oda was paltry in comparison. Nami looks gorgeous as usual Oda couldn't help put his otp on the cover

Oh I see that was very kind of him to do for Kishi, and of course when it comes to LuNa they are just so compatible, but then again you know that already. This has probably got to be one of my favorite covers in this series it's just so eyecatchy, not that way... lol 

 

 

By the way I'm finished reading up to chapter 780 so just how close am I to the latest chapter?

Yeah, it is a great cover. You've got three chapters left till you're caught up.
