That forehead is going to shine on the battlefield. Hopefully Naruto makes a remark about her forehead. Kishi has already taken several cannons and shot them all directly into NaruHina and SasuSaku ships, but if Naruto remarks Sakura's forehead, and she remembers that bench scene.... I don't even know if they would have planks to get on.

I could see it now.

Sakura goes sage mode.

Naruto: "Wow Sakura, that really brings out your forehead."

I gotta say, this chapter is just so good, I think I want to buy the issue at that Japanese bookstore. I really like it. There are many things I saw from this board that brought up questions, but many has answered them, so no need for me. That said I would like to ask something. What would you guys rather have for Sakura: Slug Sage mode or Tsunade's diamond seal (forgot how to spell it)? I can see a bit more to the latter though I must admit, a sage mode would be sweet just to match to Naruto (so I can use a team combo in future CC2 games) but I digress. All jokes aside, what will you choose?

Incredible power and teamwork whilst being in SM would be a sight to see from those two. Actually, come to think of it, when was the last time that they battled together? I assume it was against Kakashi during the bell test at the beginning of P2 although I may be wrong.

Kurama hasn't directly stated yet that he is prepared to supply Naruto with his chakra so it's unknown. To be honest I would prefer to see him use SM in this battle as it has been a considerable amount of time since he last used it for any significantly long battles and personally I enjoy SM more than KM/BM/RKM/FKM (whatever it's referred to as). It's become like the Kaioken for Naruto in many aspects.

I just hope it's not like Sakura's release in the Storm series... super charged fists are cool, but aren't threatening given Naruto's two power-ups and Sasuke's Susanoo and eyes

Yeah, but Sasuke don't care. He just wants to stop the greater evil and then whatever his next plan is, we will see. In the meantime, work together, put aside differences, and finish the fight. Funny how Naruto was motivated by Sasuke since now he remembers Itachi's words and how he must take care the rest to complete Sasuke's turn. You can say, in wrestling word, Sasuke is a tweener. Half good, half not so good because of his attitude and motive. Kakashi needs some focus though (being Team Leader and all), so I wouldn't be upset by that. I would laugh though if he came back questioning what happened while he was away XD

If Sakura does get a power up... I would heavily, heavily prefer it not to be sage mode, so we don't have to lose even more strategy/skill (which would be the best part of seeing Sakura fight in the first place, to be honest) to sheer power.

It has indeed. To see Sakura maturing like this is very heartwarming and it offers an encouraging outlook of the future for her (in regards to combat abilities but that is just a single quality of her character).

This presents an interesting dilemma. Despite Sasuke's insistence that he will protect Konoha there are still many character imperfections which he needs to resolve before he can exonerate himself of his past crimes (if you want to claim that it is exoneration). His stringent inferiority/superiority complex is just one of those qualities. Even when he was a child Sasuke was depicted as having an inferiority complex although he only expressed it passively by becoming flustered with the person who was debasing him whilst desiring to improve himself. That level of determination isn't detrimental, in fact you could argue that it acts as a healthy motivation for him to push himself beyond his limits; albeit the feelings of inferiority or superiority to the degree which you become egotistical or resentful is bad.

If Sasuke were to witness all of Naruto's growth before his own eyes then it might compel him to take their battle to the greatest extremity; a fatal conflict with Sasuke resolving to kill Naruto in order to assert his superior stature. It wouldn't be the first time that Sasuke wished death upon anyone he believed that could/did become a threat to his strength (the rooftop battle and this was before Orochimaru influenced him to abandon his friends). He may even become discontented with his teammates during the fight against Jubi after realizing the danger that their growth presents to his self-esteem which could result in him displaying a lack of concern for their well-being (if he's even concerned for them at all).

It's a possibility at least.

Which is why Kishimoto has to play it carefully. Power her up too little (or just plain misuse her, power-up or not) and she won't leave a mark. Power her up too much, and he loses even more potential of making this fight tactical or clever in the least.

Also, if there's anyone out there who ends up drawing Sakura the great healing fairy pooping health and rainbows onto the Alliance in a frilly white dress, I will love you forever.

Even if she did get the whole kit and kaboodle of abilities we're talking about she'd only be able to help in the battle. Yeah, she'd easily be a Kage level medical-nin but she's not a Minato, or a Sasuke or a Naruto when it comes to offense. I mean, the battle is arguably already trivialized in the alliances favor. Every Kage in history is on the field but yet they are still on the brink of annihilation. That's how powerful the enemy is. Sakura becoming a God level Medic-Nin won't change that.

Or maybe I missed the point.
