There is a video on Youtube by forneverworld theorizing that Naruto would kick the bucket in Boruto
![]()
The thumbnail looks like Naruto saying "I entrust him to you" First Sasuke took Sakura from Naruto and now Naruto probably is gonna give his son to his love.
The problem Kishi would have with having Naruto die and leave Burrito in Sasuke's care is that it only makes Sasuke look good because he'll be taking care of his dead friend's son. He would want Sasuke to look great, so what is more likely is that Naruto will turn evil and try to destroy Konoha. Sasuke will have to vanquish him in order to save the very village that endorsed the extermination of his clan (watta guy!). In the process he'll use TnJ to convince Naruto to turn away from evil, thus redeeming his friend. But alas, it will be too late as Naruto will already be mortally wounded by the vastly superior Sasuke, and even though Sakura will arrive on the scene at the last minute she won't even notice Naruto lying on the ground bleeding because Sasuke is in the same panel and she only has eyes for him. Thus Naruto entrusts his son, and probably entire family, to Sasuke. The grateful villagers remove Naruto's image from the kage shrine and replace is with a carving of Sasuke, and bestow upon him the title of Emperor Lord Sasuke the Wonderful. Konoha is also renamed Sasukohona. Sasuke then leaves the village on a pilgrimage of atonement, abandoning his own family and the one Naruto entrusted to him, but everybody loves him and thinks he's great anyway. The end.

sniff sniff Godzilla's death in Godzilla vs Destroyah
But since this ending I would say good riddance to the Naruto I hate cause he's not the Naruto I loved.
Except, if Naruto were to die, it wouldn't be anywhere near as epic or full of feels. He'd just die like Neji did - quickly and quickly forgotten (except by his true love, Sasuke).

I wonder how long continue to debate this filth ad trash?

I know this is a question that I won't get an answer actually I have multiple questions that won't get an answer but maybe someone here is a lot smarter than I am. So let's start.
Ok so what was the purpose of Gaiden? No seriously what was the purpose behind it?
Because the plot of it is: "Who's my mommy?" that's really it. And for what 8 or 9 (not sure when exactly it started) chapters out of it, it continues with this plot. Only to end all the drama of "Sakura's my mommy. Oh no Karin's my mommy. I hate Sakura. Naruto you're a liar." with a comical relief between Karin and Suigetsu.
Thus turning the entire thing into a joke.
Like I said in my rant and even before I posted it, I knew that Kishi is going to give us some BS explanation to tell us that Sakura is indeed the mother. But not like this. You see I said he's probably going to use Karin's moments of healing Sasuke to explain why that kid resembles Karin so much, because somehow Karin's DNA entered Sasuke's system. Yes I know it's stupid but at least it would've staid within the parameters of sense of the story. Which by the way it has no sense whatsoever, in order to understand the story you need to turn off your brain entirely.
Or that when that kid was born; she was really weak and about to die and Karin saved her life by letting her suck her chakra. Yes I know this option is also stupid but at least it would've made some sense. However the explanation that we got is not even scientifically possible. We are made from genes from our parents and some of our grandparents. It's just how it works. Seriously either find someone that can explain this to you or Google it and find how baby are made. The science part of it.
But hey forgot what I just said because the writer says it's canon. And therefore it's canon and we're just idiots that just accept whatever is given to us because the author says so.
Moving on. I know I've said this many times before but I feel like I need to say it again. One of the most important things in writing if not the most important thing is believability. We need to believe in this universe, we need to wrapped in how believable everything is, how realistic it is.
So how are we suppose to believe that Sakura went after Sasuke found him, got pregnant, still followed him while being pregnant because she's obsessed with him. Then as soon as she gave birth to a child that scientifically can't be hers, she leaves Sasuke's side and returns to Konoha where she spends the next 12 years raising that kid and not seeing Sasuke. Even though the chapter said that she's really obsessed with him and can't leave his side. And then the only reason she manages to see Sasuke again is because her daughter left the village and Sakura went after her. I'm sorry how is this believable? Why did you leave his side if you're that obsessed with him? Why? Why? And Why? What was he really bad in the bed? Is that why Sakura left? Some answers please.
Moving on to Sasuke. So he leaves the village on his "redemption" journey because he believes someone more powerful than Kaguya is out there. And for 12 years he manages to find nothing but magically the enemy finds him. Is this believable? Afraid not.
First of all if someone more powerful than Kaguya existed why hasn't that person come forth? What the hell did this villain do for all these years? Oh wait I forgot this villain doesn't really exist; he/she is just a contrived villain just like Kaguya and Toneri, but this time the contrived villain is created for the next generation. And also what the hell was Sasuke doing for the last 12 years?
Still on Sasuke. In the end he returns to Konoha only to leave again. So this raises the question: Why did he come back if all along he was going to leave? So he be present in that picture? Well if that's the case then why didn't he just took that picture before and e-mail it to Naruto? Since he doesn't talk to anyone except Naruto. What was the purpose if him coming back if he was going to leave again?
Since we're on the subject of pictures. Why did Sakura put herself on top of Karin's picture if she's really the mother and if Karin is now your BFF? It only makes her worse than she already was. What was the purpose of Sakura faking that picture?
And since when did Karin and Sakura became BFF's? Are we suppose to believe that Sakura someone that was part of the most foreshadowed and hinted and paralleled couple aka NaruSaku, all of a sudden became BFF's with Hinata and Karin? And even helped Hinata get Naruto, even though Sakura made it clear that she doesn't like the fact that Hinata has feelings for Naruto.
And Karin someone who showed her devotion to Sasuke, all of a sudden decides to be BFF's with Sakura and just lets Sasuke go because you know because...
So what was really the purpose of Gaiden? To show us a SS family picture? Was that really it? To show us that Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura as well as all the rest have become scumbags, liars, dirt-bags, hypocrites, bad parents and idiots is that it?
So why was it done? Yes of course the obvious answer is money. But all it does is insult everyone that followed "Naruto" and treats us like idiots. Like we can't possibly remember what was written before.
This is like 699 and 700 all over again. We get some "answers" but they're really stupid and make no sense and contradict everything we've seen thus far. And the "answers" we got raised more questions.
So why was it done? Why?
It's not a set-up for the upcoming movie, nor does help us warming up to the next generation. It just makes us hate the old generation and the next generation.
Was that really the purpose of it? For us to hate the continuation?

I seriously think it's meant to be an insight into the greatness that is SS. I mean, why else would Sakura and Sarada be totes cool with Sasuke being awful just because they get one decent panel at the end? That's it. No one grows or develops. Just more SS crap.

I think that none of the content in the Gaiden had a purpose and I imagine Kishi and SP knew that from the start. All that mattered is that some sort of content existed so that there is something to hold the fans over until the movie, and that just happened to be the Gaiden. I guess soap opera drama was apparently enough to keep people interested in the series, even though in the end it was all for nothing.
So, I'm not really all that surprised that it felt half baked in the end and didn't really give us any real answers. Don't be surprised though if the movie doesn't answer any of the questions, because the Last sure didn't either.
This new story has so little of a connection to the old series that there's just no way we're going to find the answers we're looking for.

The Gaiden was just like the Last, something that was meant to justify why the toxic pairing got together and how they work as a pairing, but, just like the Last, it only proved that the pairing really is trash and should have never become canon.
This Gaiden failed to prove why Sasuke decided to get with Sakura and failed to prove that they could have a happy family together. All it showed us was that Sakura and Salad are willing to excuse Sasuke for whatever treatment he gives them, while Sasuke doesn't care about his family.
I don't know if Kishi is trying to use Naruto and Sasuke as representations of himself, with his manga career, but it's got to be one of the worst ways he could go about self inserting himself in, considering he finds ways to explain why Naruto and Sasuke can meet up and write to each other, yet can't show them staying or even thinking about their families.

He's mine, don't touch.

I know this is a brand new story I mean I'm the one who said that. But what bothers me is that this new story doesn't even try to make sense within itself. Again Sakura decides to find Sasuke because she's so obsessed with him, finds him. It's said that she doesn't want to leave his side but then has no problem leaving his side for 12 years, actually even more because the only reason they even saw each other again is because Salad decided to become Sasuke and left. And then she's perfectly fine with Sasuke leaving her.
This is what bothers me the fact that it can't even follow what was said. Now this is not something new, the previous story also had this problem. But now it's just ridiculous.
@rocci What justification? The only thing it did was shown Sasuke as an a-hole and Sakura as a doormat and an idiot and so much more.
They got together because why? Oh yeah I forgot this is the story where it's all talk and no show. They constantly refereed to each other with wife and husband without actually showing it. And they're connected because Sasuke says Salad connects them. Yeah sorry that's a pathetic attempt at a justification.
Instead of telling us he needs to show us. That's how it works.

This is why I call Gaiden "The Last: SS version" since, just like The Last, it serves no purpose except to pander to the "fans" who can never remove their pairing goggles, and even worse, neither of them do even a fraction of a remotely good job of conveying the "love" or "romance" or anything. But again, this is for those pairing-obsessed "fans" who don't give a crap about anything except their pairings taking place, regardless of how it destroys everything else in the process.

Lol the only thing Gaiden didn't do was justify SS XD
I'm sure it did for the SS fans.
They just can't resist the romantic chemistry that Sasuke and Sakura have. ![]()
