Yup I couldn't agree more. This just feeds into the theory's they used about Sakura never having any type of feelings for Naruto. It's such a freaking shame.

I'm off with my Sakura that I'm consistently love from the beginning. So I see great debate here and would like to partake my own opinions, but I'll say this:
Anything Kishi say after this could only result downhill. It's only matter of which direction you'll go: ruin your passion (alas sell out) or ruin your credibility (legit can't write a good story).
Rock and a hard place I'd say. Perchance an ambiguous ending was the safest bet now and anything could have been possible.

Considering the ending that is ch 700. I would have prefer a million times Kishi going with open ending.

I do hate Sasuke at times, even if i mostly feel sorry for him because he let his hate and jealousy consume him. In Obito's case, he was just used by Madara, since part of him didn't want to execute the Moon's Eye Plan, but the part of him consumed with grief at Rin's death did, and he at least tried to turn it around by trying to stop Kaguya, even if he was dying. Sure, it doesn't justify what he did, but he made up for it. And in Itachi's case, he wanted to protect Sasuke and the Leaf. Madara in a lot of ways is much MUCH worse than Sasuke, Itachi, and Obito put together.

I don't hate Itachi or Obito. I'm only pointing out that they've done worse things morally than Sakura but they're still not massively hated like her. The fandom's hypocrisy concerning Sakura and female characters disgusts me.
obito is a baby attempting murderer and itachi is a professional torturer, yet i see more hate directed at sakura. lol @ this fandom.

It's just a shame that Kishi portrayed Sakura in 699 & 700 in such a way that he totally validated about 95% of the reasons Sakura haters despise her.
What's going to be worse is if the movies starts with an SS wedding or romance, and then the rest of the movie is Naruto licking his wounds, getting over his 'crush' then finding his 'true love' with Hinata.
If it goes down that way, and I'm really afraid it's going to, then the whole movie is going to be one long put-down of Sakura, the ultimate backhanded insult. Yes, Sakura will finally get her Sasuke, but she will be the one who broke Naruto's heart while Hinata is the one who repairs it. So even though on the surface it looks like she has finally achieved her goal, she really be a negative or secondary character by driving the main character into the arms of another truer love.
The manga chapters were bad enough — she's regressed in her development to accept Sasuke, and she's shown as a housewife which was not one of her goals — but the movie could slide Sakura back yet another notch by making her Naruto's only heartbreak.
I'm not expecting the worst.... But I think at this point I'm don't expect them to do right by Sakura. I think in twisting Hinata into some kind of main heroine, their going to force Sakura to be a plot device for the NH romance.
Can I hate a movie that hasn't already come out? Cause I really think I do.

Yeah. That's one of my major fears with the movie, too. It's been what, two weeks now that the chapter came out. I still can't get over what they did to Sakura's character in 699. How can such a strong woman be reduced to a 12-year old fangirl again, easily swayed by a forehead poke that was supposed to belong to Naruto and Sakura. I should be over this. I should be able to come to terms with the ending. But every time I think about how they handled the SS and NS relationships, I just get so frustrated.
And your post touches on a big reason why I just can't allow myself to watch that movie.
