Well this fan comic that isn't trying to justify a pairing that barely works with the story and trying to make it the entire core. Which they apparently decided could only work by completely abandoning everyone original character.

I only blame Kishi for giving up. I know if it was HIS ending, then things would be a lot better. Like NS happening, Naruto being becoming Hokage correctly, etc.

Yeah, but he also has meddling from his editors and Studio Pierrot, with his being burnt out writing and drawing Naruto, as well as his hurting due to his dad's passing, which makes what SP and his editors did by lying to him and meddling with his work much scummier....

He owns a good bit of blame. But corporate meddling and an anime studio wanting what it wanted hold most of the blame.

I dont think Hinata has to die rather than just staying in a side characters place and continue being irrelevant to the plot. Or develop her, make her a better character, and dont sacrifice Narutos dreams for hers. Which means, no Naruto for her. Because his dream is to marry Sakura-Chan. But, she could be great in other things.

Or develop her, make her a better character, and dont sacrifice Narutos dreams for hers. Which means, no Naruto for her. Because his dream is to marry Sakura-Chan. I always felt that the ending had squandered Hinatas potential.

Don’t you mean this ENTIRE DOUJIN is far better than the canon “The Last”?  Besides I believe Derock mentioned that Kishi didn’t even write "The Last", he only made character designs which by the way were altered to make Hinata look more like a super model (and more bang-able)   and Sakura more bland and plain. No, the writer was someone hired by SP with no prior knowledge of Naruto and I am sure did not even look into it, or was told not to at least and was paid to only make a cheesy shojo love story between Naruto and Hinata. But correct me if I’m wrong.

 

Ultimately though, this work shows intricate understanding that true dedicated fans of the story have of the world building and characters.

Even better Kishi actually IGNORING what her promoters and wankers that jack off to her knockers were saying about her since he did not even understand why Hinata was popular in the first place. Hell if we take his word at face value about what he personally intended, I'd even take an ending focusing solely on the concluding fight between Naruto and Sasuke and there only being hints and teasing of mutual feelings between Naruto and Sakura, Kind of like with Slam Dunk. Even Shokugeki no Soma is a good example of "not a romance ending but slightly hinting at it if one needs examples

right she should have moved past naruto if karin can do it for sasuke why not hinata for naruto, and to quote spiderman, some times we have to be steady and give up the thing we want the most even our dreams.

i feel like the budget of the whole movie went into hinata's design how else can you explain the awful look for naruto, though sakura and temari have great looks in the movie

Yeah, I know what you mean. And Sakura looked more gorgeous in Kishimoto's designs for the cast for the movie.

It doesn't bother me at all actually. What has always been important is that she never acted on her feelings or even try to get to actually know Naruto as a person rather her ideal, more importantly. If she can admit that to herself and acknowledge that she should wish Naruto happiness and try find her own as well that is what I would like for her character.

Thats hardly can be helped in setting of last, it was a possibility at war with particular scene where she had resolve, but in here it'll be like a cop out, but at least one that makes sense for story.
