Whoa is this series coming out now on Friday???
Looks like it. After all, it's released in the Weekly Shounen Jump, so it'd be nice to have it released on the same day as One Piece and Bleach one day...

And now people, think about how did Deku showed respect using only 5% of his power against full Todoroki's, and someone talked about going half-full... Yeah.
Posted 24 April 2015 - 08:43 PM
Discrepancy?
The damage Izuku is going to retain from the fight. OUCH. And it's gonna be hard if not almost impossible for All Might to name Izuku his successor now although that showing was awesome. Well maybe I am overthinking things too much. Still loved the chapter thought it was was a sweet moment for his friends to check on him
One For All really must be mastered or Izuku really is gonna have it rough no?

Please tell me you're being sarcastic and do realize that the two scenarios are completely different. And now people, think about how did Deku showed respect using only 5% of his power against full Todoroki's, and someone talked about going half-full... Yeah.

I'm being sarcastic, but in different way to what you think.

He accused Todoroki in trying to go only with half of power, while all he uses - is 5% of his totall potential.
_____
Overall - great chapter, and best way out for final of this fight. Todoroki's answer to his father - best part of chapter.

Really? Shouto and Deku are nothing alike in that regard. Shouto can use his full power, but chose not to. Deku literally can't use more than 5 percent. Did you miss the part where that one teacher said that the nurse couldn't keep healing him, especially if his injuries were more severe? Or maybe you missed the part where it was stated that if he used too much power, not only could he die, but he could kill someone too. Not only can he not control more than 5 percent of his power, but if he accidentally used more, he could kill himself and others. Your complaint really makes no sense.
That was what I mean, Deku's 5% already ~ Shouto's full power. Author need to explain more, on what exactly is gap between №1 and №2 of heroes, because now it seems that Almighty is unreachable.

Nah, I don't always think that is necessary that the MC has to win. I'm satisfied with the outcome.

Well, after having been so sure that Deku would win, the reaction of those that thought Deku would win for sure does not surprise me.Just read the chapter, that was disappointing as kitten.

I knew it!
I'm so happy I at least predicted this one right. I mean, c'mon, think about it: another Bakugou v. Deku battle? Cause that's exactly what we were heading for if Deku actually won this fight. And writing wise, that would have been milking the main rivalry way to much at the beginning stages of this manga. It has to be Shouto v. Bakugou. It just has to.
It's the simple truth: Deku is still too weak to actually win against Shouto or Bakugou. I've said this countless of times and I'll continue saying this until the day he finally gets an upgrade. That isn't to say that out of these three, he doesn't have the most potential- because I truly believe that he does. It's just that him defeating the likes of them is still way too soon. It hasn't even been a year since he's practiced using his quirk. It just wouldn't make sense for him to win like, every battle.
But you know what? He learned a good lesson from this. He was too caught up in the moment that he actually didn't think about his own feelings or aspirations. His only thought was Shouto, and releasing him from his troubles. Yeah, to other people, he looked stupid. But this obviously happened so that Shouto will finally break free from the curse of his father- all thanks to Deku's amazing Talk no Jutsu.
Whew. Okay. Done typing. Got it all out.

In a way, Horikoshi kittens on the Talk no Justu theme from Naruto XD Deku literally regrets helping out another rival even though he has helped Shouto. I haven't seen that before... Regretting helping someone out by sacrificing your own chances of winning (b/c normally that's seen as a noble and heroic act in Shounen mangas which All Might indeed confirms at the end of the chapter). Deku still has a long way ahead of him, but he's smart. I know he will rise and make our mouths drop. He can be proud to have come this far. And I'm glad we get to see a MC loosing- it sounds mean, but it's refreshing to see that. I'm super, super, super excited for the Shouto vs Bakugou match. I love this shounen manga. One of my favorite ones next to Gintama and Fullmetal Alchemist.
EDIT: Magi! How could I forget!
