I don't know that she will get one at this late stage, but if she does I think I'd pass on both of those. Summoning, while not completely irrelevant has already seen its best days as a power-up. If you're looking for a battle-type powerup she'd still be a step or two behind even with this.

As for Genjustu, I know why people hang on this: Kishimoto dropping that Part 1 thread. But really, when all your remaining opponents use the Sharingan, how useful will this be? I wonder if it would even be useful against a sensory type like Karin. That leaves Suigetsu and Juugo. Her taking on the cannon fodder of Team Not Seven. Meh. No thanks.

Pretty much this though the slug summoning will have its uses, it's still not enough for me personally, and as you've pointed out with genjutsu, the sharingan has the best of it so I'd hope he doesn't go down that route also since she'd likely fail with it. I do. But only cause I want to get it over with. I'll take my Sasuke medicine now so he doesn't dominate for 6 months straight or something.

Sakura and the rookies were out of the manga for almost all of 2012. While Sasuke got a lot of development in 2012. So now that they(okay not Sakura) are getting attention, I hope it lasts. So in that case, it is better to get the Sasuke plot over with. Since we know we will have to head back to the fight and finish the kage situation. At least they won't be forgotten like most of 2012.

THIS. I just loveeee the focus on the sharingan. It was cool at first I'll admit but then more techniques came, and each one was some ultimate BS. I actually don't even mind it with Kakashi given he has limitations and I actually LIKE those limitations. With everyone else, it's just bleh IMO, and don't even get me started on Sasuke...

The strongest power up for her now and which does not require much from her part to acquire is to receive kyubi chakra from Naruto . I mean , if Hinata's juken was enough to push back the juubi , Sakura's punch should do some serious damage . I think she is still there, part of Shikaku's plan , waiting for her moment . And that moment is sure to be nothing short of awesome ... and possibly even scary too (for the other ninja)

I actually want it to be more than just a simple punch. Maybe something new with her chakra control. I've always felt like having perfect chakra control should of given birth to more amazing techniques, and increased not just strength but speed as well but it'd be more difficult given the constant movement.

At this point, my excitement has just shot back up. LOL I'm scared I'm gonna be disappointed again though.

I've always felt like having perfect chakra control should of given birth to more amazing techniques, and increased not just strength but speed as well but it'd be more difficult given the constant movement.

Not that that's bad but, I'd honestly like to see her get her own thing really. As for her getting a powerup. I have absolutely no clue on what she'd get. I want her to get a good powerbuff, but I don't want it to be an "asspull". I guess that's Kishi's fault for not giving Sakura a little more focus before the War arc. Genjutsu is unlikely in my eyes. What could her genjutsu possibly do to such high ranking Uchiha? As for her Sage Mode, that's very mcuh prefered and would be a doorway for her character battle-wise, but it's pretty unlikely. There wasn't any sign that Sakura was training to become a Sage, so...

I could see her with Byakugou+Kurama cloak. Then there's also the "wtf" kind of jutsu that none of us would've expected, but I doubt it.
This is all wishful thinking btw. With how things have been going as of late, I'm not expecting too much of anything.

Exactly. Same here pretty much and I'm actually sort of expecting a new technique at this point. Not something over the top but something that'll play into the skills she already has. I can't wait to see her speak, and as I've said before, if she was given chakra by Naruto, I think we'll see this in a flashback.

She may not appear, and at this point, I'm okay with that. I just really hope the focus doesn't shift to Sasuke completely AGAIN. LOL

Since it's a forbidden technique she kept it a secret even from Tsunade since she would probably forbid her from using it. It's only until recently that she finally learned to use it properly, that's why we never saw her use it before in the story.

The byakugou is basically a last resort techinque so before this battle it didn't seem logical for Sakura to use it given that there where many ninjas doing battle as well. It's only now in the final stretch of the war when they need all the power they can offer to fight that she'll decide to use it.

Out of all the new techniques and ways to show Sakura surpassing Tsunade this is the most perfect one. It would be a testament of Sakura's abilities as a medic ninja. And it doesn't feel impossible given that Sakura is practically a prodigy in intellect and chakra control. Not even Shizune learned Tsunade's strength techniques and she's just as much Tsunade's apprentice as Sakura, so that's pretty telling on how far above Sakura is from any other medical ninja.

What can serve as a clue is that Tsunade introduced the byakugou as a rule for her students, hence anyone that can master it is allowed to be involved in the front lines. Tsunade didn't make herself out to be a unique exception, she made the technique to be an exception that any medic ninja can apply. Otherwise instead of introducing it as a rule she would've just mentioned as to why she was a special case given the nature of her technique, but we are left under the impression that this rule can possibly apply to anyone capable.

Also, right after she activates the technique Tsunade starts talking about how she's not just a medic ninja which she proceeds to prove by using her super strength on Madara. I would find it ridiculous that Kishi also made Sakura be not just a medical ninja and yet leaves her to be just that in the most important battle of the series.

I suggest to not keep about her getting a new technique too high. Yes, it's likely, but, still, it's unlikely also :/
I thought the same think if she was given chakra by Naruto. Like when she appears with a chakra cloak, the background will turn darker and then we'll see some panels of flashbacks XD

If she does have something new, most probably, a new technique that she has mastered and we'll see what is it or slug summoning. Otherwise, anything close to those two options.
