Really this year in Naruto has been interesting, I mean last year for another site I did a year in review for Naruto and obviously with 615 having been the end chapter of 2012, I simply said, "As a NS fan, this hasn't been the best year with this happening at the end, while many are seeing NH as Canon, I'm left unsure of this simply because of how sudden this has been, if anything like Sakura's fake confession, we should wait to see more and get a broader answer, remember with 469 kishi didnt exactly resolve stuff from naruto showing how he feels about Sakura, not to mention Naruto and Sakura will get future interaction, the story of team 7 isnt over so while 2012 ends with Naruto holding hands with Hinata, with this power surge Hinata has gotten, I would not call things over yet, there are still things we dont understand and for this to happen so suddenly with HInata, without much notice even from her events in pain and the short meeting in the war, it still doesnt sit right with me and a few others, some NH fans are not even calling canon saying they want to see more as well. As the manga is on break for the hoildays we will see our answers in 3 weeks, in the meantime we can still enjoy the SD anime and the Chikara Arc in the anime as well, lets hope for anything, an action packed new year."

 

That was part of my review last year and it got some harassment but also some support, I did like how some NH fans actually said that they liked how I was just being patient waiting for more, but with this year coming to a close, with around 2-4 potential chapters remaining, I would do a special year in review article here this year since the situation of last year acted like a short redline event for us, for 3 agonizing weeks, but we lived through it and it was nothing compared to the 631 impact. If anything these were some big events this year and I plan on talking about them once the final chapter of the year has come out. Whats even more interesting is because Naruto is ending, the finale is said to be coming up next year, I would give this manga a range limit of at least 720 chapters but no more than 780. If Naruto were to run as long as it could, I predict it would run no longer than Mid-2015, we get approximately 42-46 chapters a year, dependent on how much story progression occurs in each month and how long each chapter is such as we got that special chapter which was 24 pages rather than 16 (the one where narutos feelings are transmitted to everyone). At this point, the fight against madara should not be as long since Obito was the biggest and strongest foe and with the tailed beasts free, they are going to help against the phsyco. Not to mention Madara is a villian for the sake of being evil, he always thought of the world as hopeless as he told hashirama. So with this final war fight, the only things beyond are a potential downtime mini-arc between this and the naruto vs sasuke final fight, and the conclusion to team 7s story. One thing that has me wondering is exactly what will happen for the hokage position, I mean if tsunade had died then this would have opened the role up for grabs, but she is alive and going to live to the end, so what will happen with her? Will we get a small segment in her stepping down while Naruto and Sasuke duke it out? How will the allaince handle Sasuke in the downtime if we get a small miniarc for the war aftermath? It all depends if the fight just goes on or if they take a break after beating madara.

When Sasuke leaved the village, Sakura begs Naruto to “bring back Sasuke”. Naruto loves Sakura, that’s why hearing those words from her hurt him. However, he raises his thumb and declares his nindô. Because Sakura loves only Sasuke, the fact that she couldn’t stop him is a pain to her. And that pain, Naruto is fully aware of it, more than anyone.

Given that Sasuke intends to leave the village, Sakura thinks she’s able to stop him by begging him. Sasuke’s response to this demand is one word “You’re annoying”. That’s the same word he used when Team Kakashi was formed. But from this moment, they accomplished many missions; this word took a different meaning. Even being aware of the affection she holds for him, Sasuke takes the decision to cut all his bonds by leaving the village.

You know, all those comments that anti-NS makes about 631 being a joke makes me think they're in the stage of bargaining. They think that rationalizing it according to their view will make everything fine.

 

We already saw their stage of denial about as soon as 631 came out which later transformed into anger.

 

The remaining steps would be depression and acceptance. That will probably come to be during the next important NS moment, one which dwells on Sakura's feelings.

631 was only a progenitor, I mean 615 had 3 weeks before 616 and it turned out to just be over excited fans and it was highly misconcepted, many fans may not like this but as the fight progressed we haven't seen much importance from that chapter, only Neji's death as real important to naruto if anything. But when 615 occurred it was kinda bad how no one on many forums stopped the sakura bashing or rather allowed the in your face stuff to ns fans. Yet 631 came out, it was the equivalent of setting off a stockpile of gunpowder. It was a disaster and the way people reacted was just, unbelievable for a simple moment that in total can be hinting what will occurs this was only a nod saying what lies ahead, for ns to have another big moment the next event will just be more chaotic.

i was discussing the manga on the "chan" until a guy came with a caps lock assault rifle saying "HOW MANY MONTHS UNTIL NARUTO MARRIES HINATA".

Then i replied with, Naruto called Sakura his gf.

then he said "Naruto was just kidding on 631".

Then i replied "if he said that with Hinata you would be screaming canon".

I never saw this guy anymore.

ohh he wasnt that good. I met a hardcore nh fan once in facebiik . He really was good. He had sone good points . Still managed to get him agree with some ns moments

Really if anything, im not upset at how many fans treated 631 with outrage, Im more upset that a massive legion of fans once followed the Kushina foreshadow stuff as we did, this was the only thing NS and NH fans agreed on with the knowledge there would be one ending pairing, yet many said Hinata was like Kushina and never listened to NS fans despite the highly similar traits between them. Then 631 came, many abandoned the Kushina thing or said it didnt matter and that it was a joke or how its not a good enough reason to be hinting anything. All I can say is this:

 

1. Kishi said long ago at the end of part one that there would be one ending pairing, one case of unreqitued love returned. For a time it looked like things were opportune for NH to advance but it didnt between 469 to 631.

 

2. Enter Kushina, her last words to naruto were find a dream, find a girlfriend like her, etc. Everything she said Naruto had done or was in the process of doing. Kishi made good on that statement of one ending pairing being setup.

 

3. Minato, her own husband who knew her for years and had a similar early interation with her like Naruto did with Sakura, met Naruto and met Sakura, he saw Sakura like Kushina, no matter how this was dissected and tormented fans or put others to ignoring it, Sakura being the only girl compared to Kushina in any way, that "find someone like your mother" with Minato saying Sakura is like Kushina well, how exactly is it hard to make an issue out of this if its only a small hint? Its just saying that this is a build on the foreshadow. NS fans said for years this was going to happen, it did, we had proof right from the start just from the limited Kushina stuff then. Now with people saying Sakuras going to go for Sasuke or that NH will still happen, even saying 631 is overwritten by how Minato saw Kushina in Naruto, this didnt change the fact that Sakura is still the only girl compared to Kushina with any canonical evidence.

 

4. Hinata's role has been limited in the overall frame, where she had her big moments, kishi didnt advance far with them. Kishi made it clear to the audience, he put a lot of emphasis on Narutos love for Sakura. Hinata confesses, only resolved with a small memory of her facing pain and the hand holding event which was very short lived. Sai revealing Naruto's feelings to Sakura, we got the land of iron, she gets torn up over whats happened to naruto, tries to make amends, sees sasuke fallen, learns to not depend on naruto or take it on all herself, this even goes further to her 630 speech of this exact stuff on dependence to the allaince on naruto to not do that and even further, she focuses on naruto more than sasuke this entire time and doesnt trust sasuke.

 

5. The manga was recently announced to be in its final phase, Narutos story is coming to an end in the future. With the ending singaled out, with 2 important fights left, what is NH going to do? What purpose exists for SS at this point? Such limited room for most going to fighting and other non romance dialouge, with an event like 631 being the closest pairing moment in recent time, just what can the other two do at this time to somehow get precidence? Why does Sasuke even need to love Sakura? He has not been impacted by her this entire time.

 

This is a real simple equation and all it says is, the answer in the end is likely NS, Yet its such a mess because fans dont think it will happen. Hey Kushinas foreshadow is prominent cause kishi said this in the past, he introduced it, we have a build on it. Its going to go somewhere and it may be NS as much as fans dont want it too.

I agree.  The facts are there but they  want to live in delusions and twist things to suit their pairing but it could be much worse.

Not just in the fact of the similarities shown in those parallels but Primarily because the MK parallels come in support of the NS moments.

 

basically each time an NS moment occurs, we end up with a  corresponding and supporting MK parallel that follows it. the best example being the rescue of Sakura from Sasuke which was followed by Kushinas rescue by Minato.

This isnt even counting the parallels, I mean its true kishi uses parallels, among all types he loves the generation xerox the most.

 

Team 7 is the main but with others like the sannin, team minato, the ame orphans, the rivalry of harshirama and madara along with the old SOT6P sons rivalry, its true many parallels exist but the generation xerox is the most common.

 

But my case is, ignore parallels, ignore how they are alike. Look at Kushinas background and how she viewed Minato, look at Sakura and Naruto. They both hated the intial guys who liked them and the physical feature others made fun of. Kushinas find a girlfriend like her sent everyone into hype, Minato asking Sakura if she was Narutos girlfriend had the combined shock of sending fans into rage because naruto considered her his girlfriend and minato saw Sakura like Kushina. The whole event of similar background to kushinas foreshadow to minato meeting an older naruto and sakura, it all connects, its all able to be acceptably seen within a well set path, even just hinting NS right now. Yet this chain is ignored as much to the point some NH fans thought the context of narutos "you've been by my side the whole time" to hinata suddenly ment he was referring to the entirety of the manga when it was really just referring to the current battle with obito and the situation of him saying no one would stand by Obito, thats all. Naruto was explaining the moment, not the entirety of the series.

 

This chain of causes is ignored though simply because its sakura involved.

615 isn't a big deal when you think about it. I understand the panic back then, but now we've found out the missus comment is not canon, nor is this, and the "never let go of that hand" was the editor's note. And Sasuke and Sakura has held hands before(and they won't be canon), so it shouldn't mean more for NH. In fact, I think the tension in both moments were similar.

He didn't say Sakura would have an entire arc, he said that he would write about Sakura just after Kakashi. That's not the same, it doesn't mean the arc will be center on her. 

And do you really think Kishi would have time to write an entire arc for Sakura, while next arc will surely be the last? Next arc will certainly be about Team 7 and its resolution, so it's possible that Kishi will keep his promise and write about Sakura, and resolve her character.
