Mocking it...people just don't care lol
We really need more logical fans to speak up and let their voices be heard about this kind of crap. If Shueisha and SP were willing to go so far and ruin Naruto like this, what's to stop them from doing it again and again to others like they apparently already have, but in smaller doses, previously? This time, they did it right out in the open.
Not to turn this political, but it's just like how the GOP politicians here rob the citizens blind right out in the open (then blame everyone else for the citizens' loss). All they have to do is distract their base by telling them exactly what they want to hear in the most general and vague way possible; no explanations, no plans, no evidence or proof, nothing but loud and endless talking points and pandering, and no matter what sort of bad thing gets uncovered once in a blue moon (because a bunch of investigators and departments are in their pockets), their base is more than willing to forgiven them as long as they keep hearing what they want to hear while never actually getting it. Just like in Naruto now; nothing but pandering to the NH/SS extremists with all "tell, don't show", loudly having Sakura and Sasuke proclaim the other as "husband" and "wife" while never showing an ounce of actual love between them, but to those extremists, they don't care that there's not an ounce of actual evidence to back up those proclamations. All they care about is seeing them together, hearing them just talk to each other in any capacity, and they'll just throw money at Shueisha/SP while never realizing that they're getting less than nothing in return, and if they ever come to truly open their eyes, it will be far too late, and it will be the next generation(s) that will be paying for their willful blindness and ignorance.
. I may not like how the story goes but it doesn't stop me from understanding the writing on the wall of what will be in the film.
