Considering how so many of the scenes that were glimpsed in the trailers retained elements from the posted spoilers, the likelihood is very high. Do we know how much involvement Kishi had in the writing of the Databook and this movie? Because depending on whichever addition to the series he had overseen most thoroughly could indicate where his intentions personally lied with the ending.

I just recently heard that Kishi didn't do the script and such. Um, this is your movie. A canon one. What the hell you let other do the work? For that matter, it truly contradict everything before this, even the databook. Funny how there's no Hokage follow up. It's like he had to ignore it. Like how in wrestling, one storyline building up a rebellion character to the authority, but once he left, "That guy? Who's that???"

I think the spoilers that were from the 30 minutes of preview footage are all true.  Also, I wonder if some of the trailers were posted in various places prior to the showing on the 24th - would definitely give someone enough meat to write a "spoiler" plot based on half truths and guesswork.

Kishimoto did the 4th Dtabook, but above^ its said that the majority of the script of the movie was made by SP. Even then...Kishimoto said that he corrected a lot of it. So...

@RedFaction
I would like to express my dislike for your signature. For the simple reason that I like Sasuke and I think he deserves someone better than Hinata :hm:

Of course you may still use it. I am just expressing my opinion after all.

What's worse for you? A Sasuhina ending or a Naruhina ending? I never thought it was that important who Sasuke ended up with, as long as it wasn't Sakura...

I wonder if the script got so bad because he re-wrote it or if they were even worse but became presentable.

The art is appealing. Thats one good thing.

I guess, but that's about the least important thing for me right now.

Those so-called "half truths" and "guesswork" are panning out in an undeviating manner though. If the contents of the movie have measured up to the leaked information of people who attended the premiere then it would be reasonable to assume that we will see the rest introduced soon. It's unwanted and unfaithful to the core material of the manga. But this theory subject is running out of footholds to steady themselves above the ever increasing expanse of water all around them.

If you're referring to the post Askia referenced then it only details how Kishi wasn't the sole contributor of the script - not that he gave only a token nod of approval for Pierrot's free hand to do whatever they please and then went his merry way.

Kishimoto did the 4th Dtabook, but above^ its said that the majority of the script of the movie was made by SP. Even then...Kishimoto said that he corrected a lot of it. So...

The Databook isn't above contradiction and misinformation though. Certain supposed "facts" won't align with the picture that the manga is drawing. Moreover, I think a detailed explanation was posted somewhere on NF regarding the development process of the Databook where some corporation or industry writes it before sending it to Kishi for his approval. Encyclopedic guides for manga are created as a means for extracting more money out of consumers.  How much involvement the mangaka, specifically Kishi, has in the research and writing was never explained iirc.

Well, Kishimoto wrote RtN while SP came up with classics like Blood Prison. So I'd say its the second option  :zaru:

I was okay with SasuHina......but then the movie happened. And now I know how much of a kitten character she is. No way am I gonna allow Sasuke to settle with THAT. No no no no. Don't give him the weak-willed, dependent, uncaring, one-dimensional, pathetic girl who calls herself a ninja! He deserves better!! Give him someone beautiful, strong, and has a great personality like Ino, or better yet Mei Terumi!

Hmm you make a good point I will do away with the signature. I'm sure a lot of people here don't want to see Hinata anyway.

I don't know about your question, but by all the information we have about the plot...I can say that is not only bad because of what we have read the manga, but also because of all those... damn CLICHÉS!!! Is a darker Disney movie with a touch of traditional sexism  :zaru:

I've seen bad movies, but damn.

Actually, wasn't that the case of...,like, the first and second Databook? But whatever, even then Kishimoto aproved to say that Naruto loved Sakura, the same month that he's saying (with the movie) that he never loved her?? That's just weird.

Um wow. I wrote something better from since when I was eleven.

NaruHina is similar to Snow White. They never really spoke with each other but by the time Snow White awakes from her dream she is happily married to her prince.

I feel nauseous thinking that SP probably thought this would work in a shounen......

The only good thing about this movie is that NaruSaku is the endgame.

What kind of a mangaka resolves their story in a movie that isn't even written by them?

Not to mention the movie idea was not from him. So...that's bad. Hell, I will bet he didn't know crap on what to do. Bet he wants to let the end do the talking. In short, canon because of time skip. But movie idea happens so he has to think a believable way. In the end...yeah...Christopher Reeve storytelling in Superman 4 was bad that his credibility got damaged, so you...yeah...

A lazy writer that no longer cares about his work because he already got what he wanted.
