*shrug* No big. Just seems like a silly thing for everyone to get fussed over, y'know?

We should have a new topic.... How about....

What does everyone think about the fact that we weren't shown the first part of Sakura's confession?
*dodges the calls of OLD TOPIC IS OLD*

Setting aside for a second any discussion of what Sakura's feelings may have been/were during or after the confession, I think there's some significance in the fact that when she first met up with Naruto she presented herself very seriously--saying "There's something we need to talk about" (as seen here), and the next time we see the group, she's repeating her confession [(as seen here) and (here)].

Any guesses as to how that change in demeanor may have affected her actions, or, how it may be addressed later?

if the topic really is too old or has no debatable relevance anymore then nevermind ;_____;

Actually Im with Ciardha on that one. the blush was small but its there. Sakuras eyes are delineated fairly clearly, the darkness there would be a second eye lid not the bottom of her eye.

its a small blush.

It's really hard to tell if she is blushing, too bad trying to zoom in doesn't work, but I'll take everyone's word for it still.

the small blush was to make her look cute, a big blush is to make her look comical.

Kishi wanted a serious romantic moment rather than a tsundere comical moment. So the small blush made sense.

Hardly. Take a peek at Sakura's blush during her confession to Naruto (I posted it a page back): that blush was rather small, and obviously not meant to be comical. Even though the blush was small, it still stood out from the bottom lashes of her eyes.

In the group picture, all we see are the lines defining the lower edge of her eyes--they appear more separate because she's glancing upward. Had a blush been there, it would have been more prominent, especially if the intent was to make her appear cute.

But again--does it really matter if she was blushing?

i agree with you that it was made for her to look cute.
i also think that blushing is important. beacause in a anime or manga when i see someone blush i think it represents that they do like this person alot.
but at the same time blushing doesn't always mean a person likes somone it can mean they are just embarrassed. and maybe sakura was embarrased when she confessed

Er...I was actually disagreeing--I don't think she was blushing at all in the group picture ^^;; What I meant was that if the purpose had been to make her appear cute using a blush, then a blush would have been more obvious. As it is, I don't think it was a blush at all.

I'm trying to figure out why people are obsessing over it. We just had a major hint towards NaruSaku from Kushina's advice in 504. Why exactly are we making a big deal out of a simple picture ? Which I might add blush or not indicates that Sakura is the closest person to Naruto in his mind. The whole thing is just... facepalm.png

@ciardha - Actually, I've pictured a similar scenario myself happening near the seires' climax, say during the final battle in the series. Though I'd say that, rather than being shown heavily pregnant (like 7-9 months or so), Sakura will only be about 3-4 weeks along, but she would give clues (like a verbal hint or by placing a hand on her stomach), that would let readers know she was expecting a child.

Paralleling more Asuma and Kurenai rather than Minato and Kushina as far as how far along Sakura is? Yeah, either option, or right at mid point (start of 5th lunar month- 20th week) when pregnant women tend to feel at their best (first trimester nausea and exhaustion has passed and the baby isn't so big yet that it's making their back ache, strongly pressing on body organs, slowing them down, etc...) I was kind of picturing that, because pregnant women often talk about how they felt really powerful and fertile and just loved this point of their pregnancy.

Neat blog pics here of a woman's progress in her pregnancy from 4-20 weeks:

'Cause apparently a teensy blush from Sakura would make it all the sweeter? Dunno.

*shrug* I admit to getting caught up in "blush/no blush"--and feel silly for it--but as silly as that little detail is in comparison to 504, it may be the most we'll get to discuss pairing-wise for a few weeks 'til whenever Naruto gets back to town.

Not that that really makes it a worthwhile discussion, though XD;;

I think I might have a topic for us to discuss to kill time while waiting for the next naruto chapter. woot.gif

You know how NH fans say that the NS hug was a sibling hug and whatever arguments they have and all that jazz. I've seen pictures where they edit out Sakura all together and replace her with Hinata while editing out Hinata in the sidelines and replace her with Sakura watching from the sidelines, a role reversing switcharo. Isn't that kind of hypocritical on their part. When Sakura hugging Naruto it's nothing but a sibling hug, but when HINATA'S the one hugging Naruto then it's SOOOOO ROMANTIC. Which leaves me to believe that their mindset works in the ways of "it's not romantic unless Hinata's doing it and not Sakura" or something like that. Doesn't that just piss any of you guys off?

I'm not trying to bash, I'm just saying.

We already discuss about that a long time ago it goes to show you that the NS hug from 450 really hit the NH fandom very hard right where it hurts the most ,the same with 504 Kushina telling Naruto not to chase weird girls and find a girl like her. Kishi has already buried SS with 483-484 Sasuke trying to kill Sakura twice in a row and now with 504 he's basically telling the fandom that NH is pretty much dead as well.

@K9ofChaos - I remember this issue very well as being the moment when I gave up on the idea of any NH fans being able to give a credible argument without some form of contradiction and/or double standard/hypocrisy creeping into it. In fact, I wouldn't put 'NH' and 'credible' in the same sentence. It was this arc that REALLY got me into this series, and I'd already heard many anti-NS arguements that made very little sense considering the manga's course at the time, but this was what really cemented my decision on NS being canon and NH, well, not so. I mean, how could the fandom downplay the significance of 450, only for said fans to delberately edit the scene to suit their ship and expect to be taken seriously afterwards. It's just...headdesk.gif

From then on, every theory brought up by that fandom (or just the downright bashing aimed at ours) I've considered to be nothing more than mild amusement.

I hope I'm not pulled for this comment, but regardless it's allowed me to vent some of my bottled up frustration.
