i think i figured out what gear 4 is. at the end of the chapter, luffy is shown having his arm near his mouth. i think luffy is blowing his arm up similar to how he achieves gear 3rd with his thumb. he's going to concentrate solely on getting his arms big and the rest of his body stays normal. he'll then pump his legs to use gear 2nd to give him that speed. doffy notes that while he has speed he lacks strength, and while he has strength he lacks speed. this solves the problem, but i seriously hope this is not what gear 4 is -__-

Oh I know. I'm just saying, that as long as it doesn't have too dehibilitating a weakness like when he first activated his gear second and third, then it should be fine

I wouldn't worry about that. In a normal gear 3, Luffy had to buy his thumb go bake his leg blow up, so I doubt biting his arm is exclusive to his arm. Plus, what you described is no different than what he used against moria, so I wouldn't worry.

it's kinda like the pictures. you can see luffy controlling different parts of his body and form it into something, like a coa shield or sword. that would be true mastery of his df.

He would have most likely learned it on his own. Rayleigh only taught him the basics of Haki, then left after 6 months. Don't think Rayleigh had anything to do with that. Wouldn't your suggestion have more to do with Haki than his rubber body though? He can sheild himself with Haki, so wouldn't forming a rubber shield on his back be a bit redundant?

The feels were definitely pretty powerful. I love Bart, I wouldn't mind if he joined the crew :) I think it will be either him or Rebecca that join.

Some people hate on Rebecca though, I'm not really sure why. I've seemed to be one of the only ones to support her joining the crew wherever I've said such lol I like her fighting style.

He was angry that she did not trust him after all these years (when technically we are still in the same year). Their bond is truly unique. Nami asking Luffy to help her when Kuma made her disappear was heartbreaking to Watch because it was an obvious reference to arlong arc.

Nami being absent is part of the reason why I am not really liking this arc.

I would wager that she cares for him over her money and mikans. I especially love the fact that she addresses the crew "Luffy! Everyone!" Lol she'd roll right into hell for Luffy. They belong together.

The only negative I find in this arc is Nami not being present, but that's maybe the only one.
