That doesn't make any sense. The box office estimate on Wikipedia is saying how TL earned over $20 million USD, yet at the bottom the same gross amount is translated into $14.76 million. 

 

Apparently Google prefers the rating system of IMDb first. According to it, TL has managed to acquire an 8.2 out of 10.

Either it's a mistake or somebody did that on purpose (like the last time somebody changed it to a number higher than 100million)

I still doubt it made them bigger profit than RTN considering the advertising campaign and production budget this movie had. Though I do wish it would have bombed. The movie doesn't deserve a cent of what it has grossed.

Same here. Also, they advertised the Bolt movie at the end of the Last, which as far as I can recall is due to drop in August. That suggests to me that they had already started animating that towards the tail end of the production, or were at least preparing to do so, which would cost them more money. I wouldn't be surprised if a percentage of what they make back from the Last is already being funnelled into that.

 

Possibly off topic, but then again maybe not considering what we're talking about. Did you know that the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie allegedly lost $167,000,000, despite making $967,000,000 in global revenue?

Not surprised at all tbh

I remember reading somewhere that it took about a decade for one of the star wars movie(the sequels) to even make a profit. 

Then there was this warner movie that lost $20mil because of other factors that came with the movie

 

I was thinking that if I could go back in time, I would tell myself to never watch/read Naruto. Then I realized that I would have probably still ended up watching/reading it because of how popular it was. I was destined to be f**cked
