If it didn't bother Hinata at all, then why emphasize her silence in such a manner?

Again, I am not saying that Hinata's reaction was anything comparable to Naruto's pained reaction to Sakura hugging Sasuke in the hospital - obviously, Naruto's reaction was a lot more significant and telling. All I was saying was that Hinata's reaction showed that:
  • Hinata wasn't 100% okay with seeing Sakura hug Naruto that intimately (which is a good thing for NS, as if she wasn't bothered AT ALL at seeing another girl hugging the guy she just confessed her love to, then it would be more fuel the argument that the hug was platonic)
  • Even the nicest characters would be at least A LITTLE bothered by seeing non-platonic affection being given to THEIR object of affections (meaning Sakura being bothered by the realization of the depth of Hinata's feelings for Naruto isn't some awful bastardization of her character, or depicting her in the light of her 12 year-old self)
  • Kishimoto wasn't entirely done with her feelings at that point in time

I think Kishi emphasized her smile in that panel.

I sorry Paptala but nothing gives proof that she was 100% not okay with Sakura hugging Naruto. I really didn't get the impression like ''im not okay with this''
Hinata is a sensitive girl and you can tell how she feels from her expressions Kishi gives her specialy when it comes to Naruto. But all we get is a warm silent smile with no hint of her being upset about this romantic intimate hug. if Kishi really wanted to show her not 100% okay with it he wouldn't he have emphasized that more clearly for the readers? But yeah on the other hand Sakura was bothered by Hinata love for Naruto.

I understand your points about the nicest characters being bothered but it just isn't shown here with Hinata or her even thinking about it later.

wow can we change the topic on to something else? i feel like this has been beaten to death lol tongue.gif

I get your point, and I always agree with them, always. The thing is that I went over to Wikipedia so I could search for something that justify what you were saying. The problem is that the definition of that speech bubble doesn't match with your argument, that was almost like if Kishi was throwing a shot at the NaruHina Fan, he was trolling them or he was showing what may possibly happen if NS is the end game, compared to what would happen if SS is the end game.
In other words Naruto would be Happy about Sakura but at the same time his heart will be shattered.
In contrast to what would happen with Hinata, she may not have any shattered feelings or much thought about it.
That's why there was no reaction with the hug, is probably to let the reader know that maybe her feelings may not run that deep has others think.

Sadly, that's what I like and hate about Naruto's character the most. He his willing to sacrifice himself to make everyone happy.

Its a double edged sword. At one point, he has to realize that he can't make everyone happy, because in life, there's always going to be winners (those that are happy) and losers (those that are going to be sad). Though the key is to find the right people to make them happy, by actually listening to what they want/need and not always cling to the past.

You know that is what make me strongly believe that Sakura will choose Naruto in the end. I feel that after Naruto explained her why he was not honest with her about his feelings, will greatly touch Sskura heart that she will give in to his love.

I hear many non NaruSaku fans saying that Naruto confession will no longer be necessary since Sakura already knows how he feels, the problem with those fans is that they refuse see that Sakura never told Naruto that Sai told her that he was in love with her.

I strongly believe she will come around and he will let her know how he feel about her and why he didn't make his feeling be known before.

Agreed, he can't keep going and subtly let the hints come and go like this without him actually making a confession to her without it being humorous of sorts. I believe that, when the moment Naruto will finally spill everything about between him and her, will be the time that he is ready to commit to this all the way without any regrets. Also, that when that time comes, that Sakura too will be committed to everything between her and Naruto without any regrets or whatever "deep feelings" she has with Sasuke.

Its all about having the heart and commitment.

Well I don't think Naruto will tell her anything expecting a positive reply, I really believe that he will do a Hinata move, just try to get it out his chest. Naruto will not put any pressure on Sakura, she will reflect over all their times together and will be moved by his sincerity and great heart.
Sakura will witness first hand, what lent Naruto is willing to go just to see her Happy and that's what will make her not truly, but completely in love with Naruto.

To me, Naruto can get carried away sometimes, thinking that he's Superman, which sometimes can cloud his vision and state of mind.

Really, that is really absurd. They should open their eyes more, so they can see more vividly why Naruto loves Sakura... not Hinata smack.gif

TV Tropes was my source to see what exactly it signified: http://tvtropes.org/.../VisibleSilence , and that site seems to support my interpretation well enough (though I don't know how reliable of a site that is). Given that this is a debate on separate interpretations of a scene, there's really no real basis for saying either of us is more correct than the other in this. Therefore, in respect to Living Lavish, who wants to drop the subject, I think we can all just agree to disagree on this one.

We all agree anyway that Hinata's reaction the hug meant positive things for NaruSaku at least. wink.gif

I fully agree with this - Naruto is the main character, and if both Sakura and Hinata got the chance to confess to their respective love interests, then its kind of silly to think that he won't be given taht same chance - just from a literary standpoint alone.

Further, as others have pointed out, Naruto has no idea that Sakura knows he loves her. As it is, Sai presented it to her in a pretty negative way, leaving her thinking that Naruto is an idiot for being in love with her (i.e. she doesn't think Naruto has any good reason for loving someone like her - her self confidence issues showing). This would make Naruto's confession even more necessary, to let Sakura know why Naruto loves her. I honestly think that it would be an incredible boost to her confidence and character.

I personally think that Naruto will at least mention how much he appreciates Sakura being by his side throughout the whole Sasuke thing, and I'd love to see him mention that she was one of the people who saved him from the hell of loneliness, though I don't know how likely it is.

Either way, I'm pretty sure Naruto's going to confess by story's end - it wouldn't make much sense if he didn't - and judging by his "confessions" to Sasuke, it should be pretty good. cool.gif

But reading both of them they are almost similar. They mean the same, just that Wike additionally add that some Authors will pursposly add that because he knows that fans are expecting for the character to say something. By adding the bubble with dots he is given the reader a direct message, this character has nothing to say or think about the situation. A may be over thinking, but to me he looks like Kishi is letting everyone know that NS will not hurt Hinata the same way as SS will hurt Naruto.

Like I said, we'll just have to agree to disagree on the finer points of Hinata's visual silence, and simply agree that it means good things for NS. We obviously agree on the broad strokes of the scene -- I just understand the explanation for visual silence differently (which is NOT to say that my understanding is any better than your understanding, just different).

Now since the Kabuto arc has concluded, bringing the 5 Kages versus Edo Tensei Madara to its epilogue. The focus will be on Naruto and Tobi, while the K10 us on their way. Just wondering, what type of NS development Kishi will give us, when Sakura reunites with BM Naruto?

I'm expecting something along the lines of the OVA, honestly. At some point, Sakura will think that Naruto is dead (either from his fight with Sasuke, or Tobi manages to extract Kurama), and they'll bond after he "comes back to life".

I'm hoping for, more than anything, a solid heart to heart conversation between the two of them. Maybe a night spent together in a tent, while Sakura is healing/bandaging Naruto up, and they just talk, without holding anything back. I don't even care if Kishi shows us the whole conversation, as long as we know clearly that they talked, that it was about significant topics, and kitten was cleared up between them. They need to stop trying to take all the burden on themselves to protect the other, and simply share the burden equally between each other as partners. That is my ultimate wish for NaruSaku. Naruto will realize that Sakura is there for him just like Kushina was there for Minato (or he'll at least tell Sakura this).

That is something I've been asking myself for a every long time. Just look and read my sig wink.gif But I hoping Naruto dies by Sasuke's hands (but revive afterwards), maybe a chidori through the chest. That way, Sakura will open her eyes. And regret she never plunged the poisonous kunai through Sasuke's heart.

And this also a great concern for us. What if Hinata also spends time with Naruto in the tent? It's not just Sakura who's approaching Naruto. The way I see it, Kishi is going to troll and give something to those NH shippers, unless, he's planning to bash Hinata as she whitness Naruto and Sakura making out in the medic tent narusaku.gif

Yeah^ Probably like 20 chapters before that ultimate convo. Kishi likes to drag it all out with flashbacks, and the chapters are shorter than before. (FUUU.)
