That made me spit out my fruit punch.
Why, thank you. I'm flattered
@Codus - Jame, Slex AND xxRGxx all on one team?? That's almost cruel...
... I LIKE IT!!
Though, consideing the average size of a LAP from those 3 It'll make for some long, juicy debate.
A manifesto would probably work better with these powerhouses instead of a podcast, I think.
Jeez man, Bakuman really traumatized you didn't it?
Yes, I admit it.

You really have to stop taking that so seriously. Wasn't it argued already that the polls are more influent on the mangaka newcomers? Kishi is the second most important mangaka of Japan, and maybe number one world wide (it's a pity One Piece never really took off outside Japan). I don't think anyone is demanding that he changes the course of his story given the success record that he holds.
The most they do is give Kishi advice on what to add and what to cut, and Kishi likes taking advice from time to time. If Kishi thinks that the recommended change is good or at least acceptable he'll go along with it, other wise I'm sure he would take issue with it. Besides, didn't Kishi constantly changed editors some years back? Does that sound like a man who is whipped into doing the will of others?
The more successful you are the more stuff you can get away with, even Kishi demonstrates it with Road to Ninja. He constantly kept making last minute changes in the story to the point of tiring out the staff. Now that's a man with true power.
In any case, please don't compare changing writers to changing editors. They are not even close, let alone almost the same. The editors gives ideas to the writer, but at the end of the day it's the same writer who develops that idea. Making another person write the same story will likely have way notable effects since no one person thinks the same.
Yes, you're very correct about that. But the thing is, it's what the editor does
afterwards that's the problem. I can't say for sure, but what if Kishi's editor is the Miura type??. The one who just literally gets his ideas off "data". This type of editor is the one that cares jack kitten about the story consistency and just wants to please the fans with fanservice even if it kills the story overall. All for the sake of getting the top position in ratings.
You can even see that in the manga, some editors like to put the strong grip on mangakas. If Kishi's editor is the authoritarian type, and also the Miura type, then you have one sh*tty editor.
Kishi changing editors can be either of these two things: Kishi personally requested it as you imply, or just a simple rotation. Either way, that rumor doesn't have 100% validity. The info from Bakuman on the other hand, is what we can believe to be 98% valid.
Aw, I have gone bright red.

Thanks for considering. Really, many can fit the spot.
The way I see it, the composition feels similar to the FT team on the last day of the tournament. The FT community had been plunged into a pretty heated debate when some were kittening and moaning about Mira not being on the roster, despite it being said "the strongest team". Instead, Gray was in her place. The Pro-Gray faction which I was a part of, argued that with so many powerhouses on the same team (who, mind you, are all offensive types) needs someone to balance them all out. Gray is a Jack-of-All trades amongst the roster.
If the team were forced into an all-out brawl with another team all together, someone like Gray would be needed. Gray is not overly powerful, but he has versatility and is the most level-headed of the team.
Now, getting to the point, I believe you would be perfect as you're perhaps the most level-headed of the team I suggested. You're the perfect person to grab their shirts from behind before they do anything they might regret. While the other 3 are perhaps the best debaters in our camp, they do have one fatal flaw..... ( at least, from what I can see) it doesn't take long until someone pushes their berserk buttons and then everything goes to hell. You on the other hand, I feel would be the best person to help them in this regard.
Of course, I do not mean by anything by this, so if I offended you three I truly apologize. I'm just saying that if we were to seriously put together a team, we would need to assess the strength of each members and their weaknesses in debating. And this is my honest assessment of the members most suited for an all-out debate war.
