Actually, I would recommend One Piece first because the problem with Naruto was the betrayal of the author. One Piece doesn't have that problem, nor will it ever.

You forgot Magi. It's actually really good right now even w/out the main characters! Our girl Kougyoku is going in!

I mean, the issue with Magi is that the scanlators are very unreliable and it's gotten to the point where many have forgotten about the series. Also the art quality keeps dropping constantly. But overall it's still a way better story than Naruto. And yes, Kougyoku for 1000 wins!! 

 

I'm starting that after I finish Kuroko no Basuke and the Breaker new waves. I've been trying to catch up with my anime/manga

Okay....but....how about you put both Kuroko no Basuke and The Breaker down, save them for later, and read Boku no Hero Academia now?

Would you still have been satisfied if NS had happened after 693 or do you think the story and even pairings were pretty much ruined at that point?

 

 

For me 693 was the point of no return. The war arc was boring and after the LOI arc I stopped caring about the story, but I still cared for the characters and NS. But tbh, even if NS had happened after 693 I would have been seriously disappointed. Naruto the hero who espouses teamwork, friendship, and respect just watches as Sasuke rips into Sakura. KAkashi, my favorite character, endorses SS and tries to convince Sasuke to return and fall in love with a girl he never loved which Kakashi himself acknowledged. And Sakura, my second favorite character, pulled a complete 180 from her badass self-respecting self and turned into a love martyr.

 

Even today more than half a year later every time I so much as think about that chapter it frustrates me

 

 

 

I don't know to be quite honest, but as far as I can remember I think something similar happened in The Tale of a Gutsy Ninja Novel that we never got in the US which ugh... I would die just to buy that honestly. It's the only thing Naruto related I would by because that's how the story should've went. Basically what I'm trying to say is Kakashi and Sakura (I can't remember their novel names) had a conversation after Sasuke put her under a genjutsu and through that she started realizing who was it that was really there for her and everything that she imagined about Sasuke was nothing more than an illusion. My point is I would've been satisified to some extent considering that it would've followed Tale of a Gutsy Ninja.  

 

If we're excluding that then I would've been like okay this is kinda weird the way it happened but fine I guess.. I mean yeah I would've accpeted it, but it would still bother me though in some cases. 

 

 

Glad to hear you won't completely leave. I can already imagine how many people will leave after the last chapter comes out tomorrow (understandable though).

 

Honestly after the next chapter most of my time on the forums will be in Fun Cafe, The Otaku Square to be precise since I've got other series that are way worth my time more than Naruto like Tokyo Ghoul, BNHA,  Noragami, Bleach, One Piece, etc. 

 

Anyways, all of us should put the Naruto down and pick the Boku no Hero Academia up. 

 

Volume 1 comes out in the US August 4th, man I can't beleive it's coming so fast I'm so excited. 

 

First day pick up for me that's for sure.

Funny I'm actually rewatching the anime at the moment, and reading The Soul Society Arc at the sametime so I'm still on board till the very end. I can trust Kubo till the very end even though the manga be very slow with it's pacing which i think is the biggest complaint with the series, but I mean at least the final arc doesn't feel random whereas Naruto kinda jumped around and skipped kitten like Kakashi's rage. ugh..... I can't beleive I just reminded myself about that, anyways Back to Bleach and it's current flashback with Hashvelt and Bazz B which I gotta say is pretty interesting so far. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You know I've been saying it for a while but Naruto really should've ended right after The Pain Arc there was nothing else that could've told. The only good thing post-pain that I actually liked from start to finish was the stuff between Naruto and Kushina that was it.

It's nice to see the one thing Kishi's being consistent with is his ability to write a pointless story. The man just can't commit to his story's plot. He always cops out at the end. But then again like I said before, they're just catering to the fans they have left.

i'm almost done with Kuroko no Basuke though. I'll probably finish it by tomorrow. The Breaker...not so much, but I don't want to start something and not finish it. BnHA really does have my attention, so I'm gonna begin that once I get my kitten together with the other two

So he ended up exactly like his previous story. It all leads nowhere. The entire Gaiden is pointless. The whole drama is pointless, the plot is pointless. Everything is pointless.
