It bothers me that Sakura appeared to have made such much progress during Part II. She became a strong, independent woman only to, apparently, have so little self-respect that she lets Sasuke come and go after he fulfilled his duty of spawning another Uchiha. Sad.

 

That new drawing of Sakura is technically pretty, but.. I don't like it. It doesn't really look like her imo. The lipstick, the darkness of her face and all the shading... She looks quite upset (and since she's always upset by Sasuke I guess it shouldn't be a surprise). And we all know why Kishimoto drew her pretty...

I'm so glad I'm not alone. It just doesn't look like the Sakura I came to love.

Like I said, she looks apprehensive and afraid for her life, as she always does around Sasuke. It's disgusting. It saddens me how much I despise her now.

You know, I admit, I was saddened when the whole Sakura hate has became a reality as in legit reason to dislike her. Sure, you can still like her, but it's really hard now. I think what got me is, believe it or not, the A-SS fanbase at NF. The reason why is that, ok, hating on Sakura, what's new right. But when the series ended, A-SS gotten a serious talk for a day, explaining a legitimate point on why they don't like her and sadly, it was a good argument that I just couldn't fight back. The fact that they aren't like "Sakura sucks because Hinata is better" or "Sakura sucks because she can't fight." Instead, when they put in serious face on, I could tell that they did in fact hope for Sakura to get better as they too saw her potential, even saying she had great potentials.

To think, they do play around a lot, but talking to them seriously, they really know the situation. It doesn't help most if not all don't like the series anymore. So, I was lost with words.

I disagree she looks like a Bollywook actress from the eighties in that picture, which is ironic when you think that Bollywood movies during that period often had housewife who is beaten yet she easily forgave her spouse when he says sorry.

 

I have to ask is that cover even drawn by Kishi? It doesn't look like his style, the eyes, the nose and mouth all look different, I won't deny she looks pretty but she doesn't look like Sakura. except for the the hair.

Professor LuckyChi: "No that's completely wrong, if the second female character is introduced as the love interest to the rival, and you build so much development between the main hero and the main female lead then parallel that to the rival and his love interest you don't just write out of them that's what we call bad writing." 

 

Kishi: "But Professor what if the readers find it popular for those two together you can't just simply ignore the fans. Otherwise they'll be disappointed."

 

Professor Lucky Chi: "Then we consider the writer a sellout and a sellout makes makes that person look worse than an bad author. A writer who only dedicates their story for the fans have no passion for the story."

It's true. Her only drive in the story is getting Naruto's d!ck. She has no other character drive. She worships him, and cries that he may of had sex with another girl and accepted her scarf, before he accepted hers. And... many of her fans love her for that.

Whoever designed this Sakura's drawing is really not interested in Sakura character...

He is simply stating:

"LOOK!! I'm sooooo good at drawing !!!!"

or

"I can draw better than you!!!".

I think Sakura comes off more as a Kicked abused, and neglected puppy then an awful character. In terms of actual story, and how she's been treated by the fandom combined.

Sakura could never get past her greatest weakness and that was Sasuke. That was supposed to happen but it didn't, and she never really accomplished much else in the end too. In my eyes that's the qualities of a badly written character so I do not have much sympathy for her. I just don't see how anyone has any basis to defend her character anymore.

Sakura's considered beautiful/pretty in the manga though, so no surprise there.
I think it's just her facial expression. She looks really weird

She looks troubled or in pain. I'm not surprised though since Sasuke is always causing her pain
