This is far worse than 685 because 685 didn't mean anything
Here (assuming MS somehow got it right this one time) contradicts everything Sakura was building for and makes NS come across as a joke and as a pairing that's established to be endgame that's pretty stupid. Hell I would be fine if SS actually came out on top here but they don't this chapter literally appeals to nobody but Sakura haters....no even they were dissapointed to find that she didn't die it was a genjutsu so this literally appeals to nobody its more like LOI and 540 than 685.
And I can assure you that this whole ordeal is just another event that will blow over and next time something happens that fans like us like, we will just ignore this past fuss and proceed with the stuff we enjoy, I mean people made issue with black zetsu, they got answers from why he betrayed madara, and well people still complained.
The story is not done, this event just began, if its one thing, it will take more chapters to fully see how sakura reacts from this result.
I don't see Sakura as a silver medal, there is still a lot to be done and concerning her role after this event, while its not astronomical, its still going to get is aftermath from this event and her reaction to it when the genjutsu on her wears off.
Even if this has gotten a lot of confusion, tell me, how the hell did this impact NS? It certainly didn't bring any elements or alter or void them. Its like again, people react and forget this stuff? Personally, I never would have expected the death of SS chapter to be one where fans would make a fuss over it.
All this fuss is almost the exact same thing from when we didn't get a NS moment back around 672 where naruto woke up and didnt focus on Sakura, though she was crying tears of joy over him, Even then, isn't it worth mentioning that the promise came in and this shows naruto still loves sakura?
And likewise, how about this:
How does this impact naruto and sakura's relationship when this entire chapter had nothing focused on it? This chapter was nothing but antagonism on Sakura from Sasuke, it was like tearing her love apart and showing it in such a negative way because of what Sasuke did, that even as far as he sunk she had hope in him and he personally shat on her views to silence her. Aka SS died this chapter and for one reason or another, this chapter proved why SS just isnt acceptable, believeable, or reasonable for the story.
Naruto and Sakuras relationship cannot exactly be impacted if its not focused upon in this situation, is this because sakura reacted to sasuke or because naruto didn't do anything? Its not like this is the end of everything either, one doesn't need to act in every situation for every situation. In fact this was the start of this anti-ss event so surely there will be a follow up for Sakura on this stuff and yes, some impact or after effect will come her way.
But again, I just say people are overreacting, nothing has harmed NS, NS is fine. SS is for all purposes dead and unable to work.
But we have seen kishi be crazy with his writing, its been done before and its certainly not the end and this doesn't just void NS or her development with naruto, if that was untouched then it wasn't touched. NS is still fine and still prone to be canon.
Besides can anyone mean to tell me that we wouldnt be suspecting some event for sakura to realize or come to love naruto? We always knew some event or occurance would have to come to make her move towards Naruto. And besides, as said before, this event did not do anything with naruto or sakuras relationship, that stuff is still isolated and in effect. Sakuras always had this duality of impacts and changing in regards to naruto and sasuke and today it was focused on sasuke and all the negativity it brought, so what about naruto? This is still unanswered and remains in effect to see what it brings later on.
And I repeat, its not just raws and translations to go by, we need to see what the events themselves do and how they play out. What says one thing and what is said by another can differ in context and when you have differing contexts, well then you need to see the results of those following what we saw at present.
But I have said enough, people have their views but I am still fine with how things went, I just saw drama on sakura today and its not the end or some regression on her, we had signs for her struggling now didn't we? This is the climax of that and may lead to some after result of some change in this line for her.
NS is still fine, its still there, nothing bad happened to it at all. Sakura's development will differ to other people but honestly, there was bound to be a conflict and this was just one part of it. I dont see this as regression and I dont see her as a silver medal, she will have more focus later on and potentially just on the side with kakashi right now. But by no means is this over, its just the start of something else to come.
Sakuras development isnt done and nor is how she feels about naruto, this stuff is in effect and seriously, next time something we want occurs, well everyone will suddenly be better.
If anything I am getting tired of all the ugh here and there for all events, there is no pleasing this fandom.
Seriously I am just happy SS is sunk and NS is fine and that there is a lot of potential for things to go our way in the future.
