Well I kind of agree with you, this is a hard hit for the NS camp and apart from the Kushina moment with Naruto, everything else has been negative lately. But for some reason I cannot see Sakura and Sasuke hooking up in this movie, his personality lol.
But I do believe that this Sasuke is Sakura strongest desire and Minato and Kushina are Naruto strongest desire.
I cannot expline the other character but I feel my self 100% positive about thise two.
Scratch that off ****Deej**** already expline the other character and we know Naruto will never wish Sasuke that way.
Movie plot:
Over a dozen years ago, the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, was unleashed by a mysterious Masked Man. The Hidden Leaf Village was attacked by the Fox and was on the verge of complete devastation. There was only one way to save the village -- to seal the Demon Fox. The 4th Hokage Minato Namikaze and his wife Kushina sealed the Fox into their new born son Naruto, sacrificing their own lives for the sake of the Village, entrusting its future to their son.

As time passed, members of the dangerous group known as Akatsuki -- Pain, Konan, Itachi, Kisame, Sasori, Deidara, Hidan, Kakuzu -- assault the Hidden Leaf Village! Naruto and his comrades succeeded in defeating them, but why are those Akatsuki members, supposedly all dead, here again now? The mystery remains, but all the shinobis are being praised to achieve a dangerous mission. In the meantime, Naruto, who doesn't know his parents, can't help it to feel very lonely. Just around that time, and all of a sudden, the Masked Man returns to the Hidden Leaf Village. The mysterious new eye technique of this man then strikes both Naruto and Sakura.

Now, his terrifying ambition is revealed! Is he targetting the Nine Tailed Fox? Traps and conspiracy to Naruto and Sakura, and to the other shinobi of the Leaf Village. The fierce fight is inevitable! The movie is at its climax!

This will be a Genjutsu and if we focus on the plot it clearly says that Naruto was feeling lonely because he mis his parents. So since Naruto did wish to see them, and since Sakura really wish Sasuke was a different person (too bad she still with that) her wish became a reality.
Now I think since Naruto Sakura are the main characterter and Sasuke is Naruto's love rival and a player maybe just maybe, Naruto will come on top, if not them Kishi is showing us that her strongest desire is to be with Sasuke

they didnt say that her desire is to be with sasuke or if she is feeling lonely, i think "this" sasuke is what she think what he was in part 1, giving attention and a cool teen guys (japanese) , it the opposite of the actual sasuke, cant see "wishes".

Hmm, the pants and a couple of the poses look kind of like Karin's. (Not the top though ) Oh, and something else I can see for sure now, what I kind of thought looked that way in the poster Kishimoto drew- Hinata's breasts are significantly smaller than the non genjutsued version. They look the same size as Sakura's actually. B cup as opposed to DD. Heh, Kishimoto is laughing at the Pierrot Hinata fanboys with their big boobs fixation, by making almost half naked genjutsued Hinata have merely a normal Japanese woman's breast size.

It does look like at least some the genjutsued character's personalities are the exact opposite of the actual ones. Sasuke apparently is going to be his polar opposite and Hinata is obviously polar opposite in looks and attitude, so it would most likely be that she is totally contemptuous of Naruto. That would throw Naruto off if Hinata was outright sneering at him, verbally running him down- like Neiji did in part 1, and that would peeve Sakura- you know how she will jump to Naruto's defense if anyone is really going after him verbally. (If they are just calling him stupid or perverted in exasperation or teasing that's one thing, but something that is more ugly isn't cool.)

So if it's a love rival...
And Naruto and Sakura are not effected by the genjutsu besides being stuck in it, whatever Naruto and Sakura say to each other, (or say, Naruto says to Sasuke: HEY! I love Sakura!) Or Sakura, defends Naruto from Hinata and says something to clarify she loves him - .... Then it wouldn't be the genjutsu that's making them do that.

This is exactly what I'm saying when I said that Kishi probably wants to troll both pairings (NH and SS) in this movie. I have a feeling that Kishi might have in mind to end his manga this year and this movie might probably be the last movie of the series. And what better way to make the last movie with showing to the reader's face once and for all the true pairing he has always supported since he started writing his manga. He might have plan for Naruto and Sakura to admit they like each other in front of genjutsu Sasuke and genjutsu Hinata (what better way to sink both ships ). But I could be wrong and he might plan to troll until the end giving more NS hints and he will show the true pairing at the end of the manga.

I find it funny that before we were all happy and sure about the NS moments and that the NH and SS fans were going to go crazy. Now it's the opposite. We now know Sasuke is going to be hitting on Sakura and she seems to be liking it. The NH and SS fans are happy and sure about SS moments while we're going crazy. lol

I'm amused that donjoseph and halfstar think we are "freaking out" and think Sakura is liking this Sasuke. We aren't freaking out at all. and you need to look at that picture again- Sakura doesn't look all lovey-dovey about it at all. She looks very tense and kind of freaked out. She's so tense about it that her eyebrows are at sharp angles and there's even a tension line there, her shoulders are also tensed up in a defensive manner. Her eyes are wide with a freaked out look- heck she looks like more a character in a horror movie that is trying to not panic because the serial killer is coming onto her.

I would actually probably really like her character if she were kitteny - I like her base character design (appearance wise), its just her meek personality that does absolutely nothing for me. But give her attitude, and now there's a character I would actually enjoy. I would really love to see that Hinata hit on Naruto, but I'm pretty sure that Ciardha's right about Hinata being completely contemptuous of Naruto (because she's hero worshiping him in the normal verse, and Sasuke went from being contemptuous of Sakura to being all casanova on her).

Still, I fully agree with the seeming majority who say that this isn't any cause for anger/panic - it's going to be amusing as all hell. Just picturing Naruto and Sakura's reactions to these two especially ##dies##

That was clearly not What I say or imply, I say Naruto was feeling lonely because he didn't have his parents with him, them he was trapped in a Genjutsu that will make all his desire a reality.

Deej gave us a full description of how Naruto think about the other character and that is the reason why they change. Since we all know, Naruto will never wish for a PIMP Sasuke flirting on the girl he loves and know Sakura is also trapped in that Genjutsu, we can assume that her strongest desire is for her prince Sasuke of her fantasy to love her back, the Sasuke character is created by her wish.

My only hope here is that she will be able to see Naruto over her dream Sasuke, and maybe that's how she will overcome her Genjutsu and help & save Naruto before Akatsuki kills him.

If that doesn't happen, and she doesn't break that Genjutsu how can she look at Naruto's face when she find out all was a Genjutsu she wish she was never free from, think about it for a moment. Sakura will see through let go of her crush and save Naruto from this Genjutsu.

Again how will Sakura look at Naruto's face, when she is free from that Genjutsu and find out that she never wanted to be free from it, because she wanted to be with Sasuke and didn't care if Naruto die and the
Kyubi then get extracted from him.

I think Sakura would feel like crap when she find out that she and Narutowas attacked he could of die and she was Happy to be with Sasuke don't you think.

sorry but it was the opposite , naruto was feeling lonely, it wasnt his desire to everyone change their personalities was he?, did he wished an different hinata or kakashi, everyone was caught on the genjutsu unless naruto and sakura the rest where affect in an opposite world because everyone without exception is there, including his parents .
their parents are alive not because naruto wished them back but because the world was created was an opposite to the real world.

I really hope it's not like that. We don't need more Sakura haters. I really want her to just let go of him and just called this genjutsu Sasuke annoying because she realizes she doesn't want this Sasuke at all, to finally realize that her crush was just a plain silly fantasy and realize who is the one person she truly loves once and for all without any barriers. To admit and say" I don't want Sasuke I want Naruto" that will be enough for me.

Just wanted to mention again, even though Kishi is helping to write this, this isn't technically canon. All it does is hint at the future, so... I think people should stop taking non-canon material so seriously. If it has whatever fanservice we want, excellent, if not, it'll probably still be a good movie.

I feel some are trying to dissect it too much. Promotional ads and posters never reveal what's going on completely, so relax.

Some people here laugh and ridicule other shipper fans when they freak out over the littlest things and what are people here doing? Exactly what they do when they feel threatened. Please realize your own overreaction that some always criticize other shippers for and get over it.

I agree that Sakura will likely realize that the Genjutsu!Sasuke is definitely not who she wants at all (even if she is briefly initially flustered/flattered by his flirting with her), and that focusing on breaking out of the gentjutsu is much more important. I think Naruto will be the one, if either of the them, to be the one reluctant to break the illusion. Minato and Kushina don't sound like they are going to be horribly out of character like the others, and he seems more obsessed with Sasuke lately than Sakura. Sakura's more level-headed nature will be an asset, I think, in gently, but firmly, reminding him that this is not reality and that they need to return to what's real.

Sorry that's just my imagination going wild and I also like this idea, that way Sakura can finally get over the man of her dream, I will like it to be that way when she finally start thinking that she really don't love Sasuke and ask herself what she was I thinking? Then start worrying about Naruto and break the Genjustsu.

And the reason why I like it this way is because Sakura is human and we all get cut up sometimes with Something we always wish was a reality, getting her reality and finding out that Naruto is more important than her fantasy dream is a bonus for NS, and if she become the one that saves him it would be a + for her character.

Wow...someone needs to calm down. Sakura is obviously blushing and smiling in a nervous way just like any girl would be if a hot cool guy they had feelings for was hitting on them.

On the contrary, I'm very very happy and excited about it. At least I know which one is the red herring pairing Kishi had in mind, and which one is the actual intended pairing. If anything, this strengthen my excitement and my support for NS

I'm not sure about everyone else though. In my view, the gist of the poster is Naruto appears to be upset with Sasuke for flirting on Sakura. So, naturally, we would be taken into our hero's journey (Naruto) to 'win' his love (Sakura) over his rival (Sasuke).

Like everyone has mentioned, this will be the movie which will make or break Sakura's character. Definitely agree on that. Let's wait and see. I really look forward to this movie.

Judging by alternate Hinata's sketch she seems to have a lot of attitude so you might be right and this translates to her actually being mean to Naruto, but I hope it turns out differently. I want her to be opposite this way: normal Hinata is very respectful of the people around her so alternate Hinata will be a more in-your-face kind of girl, furthermore when it comes to her feelings for Naruto she normally is shy and reserved so this alternate version becomes forward and aggressive about it.

Exactly and at least we know Naruto still loves Sakura and not Hinata. I'm not in the least worried.

Look I get your point and I know what you meant, but what you're saying does not make any sense, Why Naruto and Sakura are the only ones that aren't OOC? Why Naruto still looks like he likes Sakura? Why Sakura the way she normally is with a little slit different around Sasuke? See what I mean? Also how do you explain Kushina and Minato, I don't think Kishi will make them any weirdos.

Choji: a healthier person.
Kakashi: wasn't that layback.
Sasuke: would finaly notice her.

This is my break down of the rookies by Sakura and Naruto.

Naruto and Sakura won't change because they AREN'T the genjutsu. To my knowledge, a genjutsu can't give you a personality change. You should be thinking about it more like they are hallucinating, not that the real world around them has been switched.

If everyone is changed based on what Naruto and Sakura thought of them, Minato and Kushina probably won't change much since Naruto doesn't really know them, and Sakura probably has no idea who they even are.
