That's the way I took it too. When I first read 615 the first thing that came to my mind was "Oh, I get it. This is her closure.". Granted that some people are now taking the fact that Hinata popped Naruto's shoulder back into place as a sign that Hinata will now take center stage and somehow be able to heal him. laugh.gif

I actually found it nice that it was a combination of Naruto, Hinata and Lee (the ones that took the most relevance over Neji's death) that were able to disconnect Madara and Obito from the Juubi. It was a beautiful payback.

In the thread of 614 somewhere there's a post where I completely called it about the hand holding happening in the next chapter. That's when I realized that Hinata's speech on 573 was supposed to be a literal foreshadowing, which is also why I believe she already came to terms with her unrequited feelings by saying she'll stop chasing Naruto once and for all.

You see, Hinata's speech is actually two statements: what she'll do after the war (stop pursing him) and what she'll do during the war (hold his hand). It's because we are mixing those two together instead of viewing them separate that we take it as a romance hint.

Bolded, exactly the problem.

That's a good question, especially since we now know that there's nothing romantic about 615. Granted that could change if Kishi decides to change it but I highly doubt that. Honestly it seems like that was the last of her development.

hmmm. If Kishis changed his mind then Kiba is Naruto's rival and not Sasuke and so Kiba is up for the next Hokage position and or on par with Naruto's strength level too.tongue.gif

Sadly i think i will be going from green to yellow in an endless cycle until Kishi actually does something with sakura, her mere absence from the manga for god knows how long is enough to put me in the yellow zone to be fair. Trying to stay strong but....
Maybe it might be just suspense Kishi is building upon which to me just is aggravating since Sakura is conveniently absent and so Hinata is getting attention or rather Hinata development.

Concerning about me, I'm absolutely in green zone. I've faith in Kishimoto even if sometimes I'm a little upset and could be in doubt about him but then I choose to be optmistic...

I do wonder, what is it take to you revert you guys into a green zone. Some of you are in yellow zone. What will it take to make you back to green zone? And don't say NS must be canon. You can still be in green without them being canon.

If its our opinion then why can't we say that, if that's how we feel?

Anyway I need to see Kishi start focusing on NaruSaku again. It seems to me as if he's intentionally avoiding significant interaction between Naruto and Sakura, and that doesn't give me good vibes. Even more so because he's adding in a lot of NaruHina in its absence.

No, i'm going to completely disagree with you. If you read the next page after that then you will learn the true meaning of what she meant by "not chasing him".

And I have to disagree with you again.
Next page she said what ? NEXT TIME (means on the battlefield) I'll be next to you, holding your hand, walking with you...
The "WAIT FOR ME" and the chapter where she's holding his hand prooves that.

After war, she said she'll just stop chasing after him. This means a lot to me. She will stop her obsession for him cause she probably know at the moment that he's in love with Sakura.
I will not be surprised that we will have a flashback where Naruto explains it to her that he's glad that someone loves him, but that he can't accept her feelings.

And there's isn't any romantic meaning in the holding heands scene to me. Naruto just took her hand to give her his chakra.
And the walking with him is the same as Shikamaru. Support him in his quest, in his battle (thing that she did on the battlefield).
QUOTE
for Sakura's speach when she says "we will be together", i've said this before and it's been discussed before but i don't think that has any romantic implications due to the next 2 panels says "not just me", "we are all going to fight together this time!"

I don't think too, and I never said that it is meant to be romantic.
It just tells that she cares about him and that she wants to support him like Hinata and the others.

I said it before, if we look back at the chapter we of courset think that she will stop chasing him because she will be together with him already. But after 615 i see it different.
She already got to hold his hands during the war and that without beeing romantic, so there is nothing in future to fear about. Hinata is done, all thats left will be naruto rejecting her i think.

You can interpretate it differently if you want, to me, it make sense.
I'm pretty confident about it, this should be how we have to interpretate this.
Why would she said something like "stop chasing after him". It means what it means, Sakura is doing the same thing for Sasuke, Naruto is doing the same thing for Sakura.
Hinata too, but once this war ends, she will stop once and for all.
She said it herself.

That's how I see it.
Oh yeah, and tell me than what she meant if I'm wrong ?

I don't think there will be any accepting/rejecting from Naruto. I really do feel like we are putting ourselves in misguided position. It will be determined by the end and the funny thing is, which is nothing to be ashamed, when we look back to the manga, we will feel silly about whatever that was going to be canon or not. Like, "Oh I get it. It's meant to be a friendship story." I do feel like chapter 616 make me think we have placed Hinata on a pedestal but I digress.

Bolded: What??? I can understand Hinata > Naruto, Sakura > Sasuke, but Naruto has not once implied hes going to stop going after Sakura.

@NaruSaku4Life - You think there's gonna be no pairings at all?? Interesting thought

You didn't understand me, maybe it's my fault (sorry for bad english)
I meant that the 3 of them (Naruto, Sakura and Hinata) were chasing after the one they love.
Hinata is the only one who (in my point of view if you prefer) who confrimed that she will stop chasing after the one she loves.

Yeah well, i also dont have a problem if she realized by herself that narutos doesnt love her. Whatever happens with hinata is unintresting for me. She can also be forgotten from now on. biggrin.gif
There are a lot of people who put hinata on a pedestal, but i presonally think that kishi is not even seroius about NH, not even a little.

@HauntedCake: I guess thats not what he ment.

Just my little theory, laced with biased NaruSakuness, but perhaps the reason Kishi has focused so much on NaruHina is because he's actually going to be sinking the ship? If that's true, then Hinata's monologue in 573 would go along nicely with her getting over her romantic feelings for Naruto. Or something like that.

Come on it's ambiguous on purpose, saying it means this or this when no clear statement has been made is an interpretation and nothing more at this point.

It could easily be you who's overthinking the whole situation. Maybe the whole situation was really meant to be played out in a literal sense. Why is it hard to think that Hinata really is determined to not chase Naruto anymore?

Hinata said it very clearly. The words of next page of the hand holding and other is another part. The girl can be in the process of moving on after the war. Does it have to be that she must get a scene where she's saying that she'll move on now, or one of Naruto rejecting her ?

If she got one, that's good but if not, it's not a plot issue or anything. Either way, nothing will turn out from both. It's just that it's not a must with everything regarding Hinata.

Especially when you know that Naruto always loved Sakura (Sai said it pretty clearly recently too).
Remember this :

Kishimoto doesn't show Naruto's expression and Hinata noticed/realized something.
For me it make sense to see Hinata giving up on Naruto.

I don't see any other meaning in what she said.
If someone have any other interpretation of this today, than tell me.
Chapter 615 just made it clear.
