Now personally,(don't kill me everybody!!) I don't think so.
Sasuke has issues. But his issues caused him to be an jerk to everyone around him, including Naruto. Personal opinion: I didn't see a strong bond in Part I. I just didn't. All I remember is Naruto picking fights with Sasuke while liking Sakura. I barely remember any of them showing affection towards each other, brotherly, romantically, anything. The entire time they were in team 7, all they did was bicker.
Now here's where Part II came in. All of a sudden Naruto has random dreams about Sasuke, thinks about him everyday, Sasuke misses Naruto and that bothers him, etc. Basically what we witnessed what the aftermath of a bad break up
So this is why I said that Naruto and Sasuke's bond is "strong" in-universe. While they were together, it wasn't much, but apart they felt empty from one another.
And then we're supposed to believe that all that time, while Naruto was lonely, Sasuke was watching him from afar. Him and Hinata should have packed some d*mn popcorn together and enjoyed the show. What type of stalker nonsense...?
And yeah, Killua is by far better than Sasuke in each and every way. He's my favorite male character ever after Harlequinn King.

The manga just seems never-ending to me. Like it's never gonna end...ever.
If it makes you feel better I can't read Jojo's Bizarre Adventure for that exact same reason. Besides, I still read Tokyo Ghoul!
