Welp, looks like it's filler season. Three filler episodes dealing with Edo Tensei versions of the Sound Four. One filler episode revolving around the Hyuga family. I wonder if this is Studio Pierrot's attempt at creating a base filler story that will later be connected with 614 and 615...

So Hinata will be getting more character development... hmmm

Great, more Hinata fanservice and on Sakura's birthday, no less. Such an unintended insult to her, she deserves to have an episode tribute on her birthday, especially given her obvious lack of focus recently. Hinata got her "perfect hand-holding/inspiration" moment in 615 on her birthday, the least Sakura should get is a filler episode in her honor. Unfortunately, we have Hinata fans at the helm of the Pierrot staff. My hopes for a Sakura shining moment during the week of her birthday is already shot down enough with this Hashirama flashback going on. Why must everything be against us?

Back on topic to NS, I saw a NH fan argue this: "Naruto knows that Hinata loves him and supports him unconditionally, she'd do anything for her. She's changing from the "dark weirdo" he thought she was. There is no way he's going to reject Hinata just to chase after a girl who loves someone else. After leading her on like that, no way! He's not heartless."

Besides the usual bothersome annoyance I get that the majority of the NaruHina fandom thinks Naruto is obligated to love Hinata and if he doesn't he's a kitten, when I saw that "Naruto's leading her on" comment, I wasn't sure whether to laugh at it or not. I was just so genuinely confused by it, my exact thought was "What manga have you been reading for the past several chapters?". I mean, really, leading her on? How? My mind is drawing such a whopping blank, I can't even comprehand that 100% confident statement. To lead on someone is to show affection or romantic intentions to someone without being very serious over it and triggering the other person to think it's serious, if they have genuine feelings for you.

Like I can think of two examples in Naruto with this. AU! Sasuke gives Sakura a rose in RtN and says he'll always be there for her, only to return to his harem. Sakura took the bait, then realized his true intentions. She was being led on. In Early Part 2, Naruto asks Sakura out on a date, she agrees to it. If he wasn't so dense, it could be considered leading him on. (*Note: Don't attack me for saying that. While it's obvious she seemed to like Naruto there, it's very true she did not take what she did seriously).

So what does NH have that could in the slighest bit be considered leading Hinata on or giving off signals that scream "I really like you."? Is it the "it's all in your eyes" scene? It really can't the NH hand-holding, Naruto's ulterior motive was giving chakra to her to power up the alliance. It's very obvious there is signals weren't unclear. 616 assured that. But then we go back to the eyes scene. I guess, a little, I can understand it. But it's still different. Naruto's signals were not saying he has romantic affection for her, he was pep talking her again. He meant no semblence of anything other than support and friendship. So, technically, he was not trying to lead her on. Whether Hinata took it that way is another story altogether.

I really hate how they consider Naruto "heartless" if he rejects Hinata's feelings for him and they accuse him of leading her on. He's not heartless, his motivation and purpose was not romance-centered. If anything, he unintentionally lead her on. That is not being heartless, that is being dense. That barbed insult to Naruto's character really bothered me, some NH fans show no respect for him and his intentions/wishes at all. At least when Hinata gets thrown into the mix.

@xxRomanceGirlxx: Yeah its always the same problem, naruto (the main protoganist) who is shown to never change and never give up, is ment to change his feelings, but the side character who is undeveloped and has as good as no screentime during the whole manga is supposed to get what she wants. Of course hinata cant change her feelings, NO thats NOT possible. DAT LOGIC

So i'm going to guess Sakura is getting left out in these fillers? Not completely but she won't have any any purpose or plot in these fillers so to speak. It seems Sakura is being benched a whole lot atm. Leads me to believe that she is gonna get center stage a lot in the coming months.

I don't think birthdays for Naruto characters are made a big deal out of, anime or manga. It doesn't mean anything if the Hyuga/Hinata episode is on March 28 really.

And lets not be paranoid because the episode may deal with Hinata please. Its silly to get freaked out just because her character shows up, for whatever length of time.



Btw 615 wasn't meant as a Hinata present. The release date for that chapter was January 4th in Japan. The only reason we had it in December is because it was leaked.

ok thanks, i think what left in hinata story is that naruto will accept or reject her. because there are no material for hinata in the next arc. if naruto accept hinata love than she will be naruto lover till manga end. but if naruto reject she will put side with tenten.

on the other hand sakura has many issue to resolve. like tsunade, narusasu, and help naruto. so i think that's the reason for her sidelining at the moment.

Another good anti-NH argument would be this:

Lets say that hypotheticly NH happens and they have kids etc.
What if one of those kids decides to ask how they fell in love.
I think this is kinda how the conversation will go:

Hinata: Then I kinda stalked him for most of our childhoods
Naruto: And I was in love with Sakura and hardly noticed your mother
Hinata: But then i commited suicide to tell him how i feel.
Naruto: But I still loved Sakura
Hinata: But then Sakura lied to your father and hurt his feelings
Naruto: But I forgave her
Hinata: But then my cousin Neji died for me and we held hands with your father
Naruto: Because I was giving her chakra
Hinata: And afther the war we got married
The kid: [option 1] Dad why did you start loving mom?
[option 2] Dad why did you give up on Sakura if you ve never given up on anything in your life?
[option 3]Dad why cant you see that aunt Sakura has a thing for you?
Naruto: ...........the NH fans made me do it
Hinata: Naruto stop breaking the fourth wall.
Naruto:(leaves)
Hinata: Where are you going?
Naruto: To Sakuras place.


I kinda got carried away in the end but you see my point right? It be damm akward to explain to the kids.
