Think you're simplifying it a bit. Overall the forehead poke meant something special to Sasuke and something that he took as an affectionate gesture from his brother to him. He uses it on Sakura to also show affection because that's what he associates the feeling to.

i.e, Sasuke's socially awkward and takes cues from how his brother interacted with him as a child. That or he's that obsessed with Itachi. You pick.

For me the core function of the forehead poke means "not now, maybe later", and thats what he was trying to express. Nothing more nothing less.

 

Even if the poke itself was meant to be "distance" it was always in an affective way, so I don't really see your point?

Anyway, after that there is one more thing that you should keep in mind: Did Kishimoto intented it to be a romantic gesture for them both? Yes. Hence it is. (They got married, after all   )

 

Affective? I think not.

But if it is so then I'd say it's not romantic because saying it was meant as a romantic gesture would imply Itasasu had a romantic connection, so if kishimoto really intended that poke to have a romantic conotation then he is actually more dumb than I thought

GOD "Did you forget that he’s an orphan who grew up with the whole village hating him? He never knew what love was. Not to mention that Sakura never showed any romantic interest in him. Naruto is not a scumbag because he was unaware of the idea on love. Plain and simple. He didn’t know what these feelings were, which is understandable(to a person with common sense)."

 

Kishi tricked us !!!!! He made us believe that Naruto could understand others' feelings, that he could feel love for others....But apparently, it wasn't the case   You need to have parents to understand what love is, you need everyone to love you to be able to feel something for others...

GF and steven universe is like the only cartoons i watch now. rest ain't worth my time imo.

 

ot: i wonder if kishi will expand on part 3 if it does good.

I remember cartoons like Ed Edd and Eddy and other cartoons like that because yes they were wacky and stuff but they didn't go with the crowd and  did their own thing. I remember cartoons when their had their own flare and didn't have the bad politics they have today

Oh yeah. Absolutely. The amount of times that a fanbase gets their way is ridiculous. It even happens with Western cartoons (Adventure Time, LoK, Gravity Falls) so much so that it can mess up an entire story (Adventure Time). Naruto is no different, except because of it's fanbase, the entire story was destroyed at the end. 

 

Take this as a life long lesson. No matter what happens, never listen to your fanbase. You achieved a fanbase for a reason- they already liked your original work. So don't change it to fit their headcanons.

Ok..What is up with Gravity Fall talk?! I was going in thinking "It sounds like something awesome" in design wise. Instead I got that. To be fair, I don't watch it, but for the love of god, please don't be another My Little Pony fetish. So I beg of you. What is it?

To be fair, Gravity Falls is better than the other two I mentioned at the moment. I haven't caught up with it yet. 

 

Adventure Time became a complete disaster. Too much listening to the online fanbase screwed the story up. Eventually, Adventure Time entered a deep dark void where everything is depressing as h*ll for the sake of an ongoing story. It's a shame to see such an game changing show take such a turn. Of course it can be redeemed, but at the moment the show has lost a lot of it's fans. 

 

As for LoK, it should have stayed one season. That's it. That's the entire argument.  

 

But let's talk about My Little Pony for a second. Lauren Faust isn't even able to watch her own creation because of how much the fandom ruined the show. The spinoffs, the brony conventions, none of that was her idea. A bunch of grown *ss men ruined a show created for little girls. It's okay to be a guy and like the show, but to completely obsess over it and create so much gore porn to where little kids can't even google a d*mn cartoon? No wonder Lauren Faust feels that way. 

 

And this, my friends, is what happens when a fandom takes over the original story. When a collective of headcanons find it's way into canon. It affects the story in-universe and out-universe.  

 

And the same thing happened to Naruto.

That too. Read my comment above. But LoK's writing was terrible as well, not just the underdeveloped canon.
