Couldn't decide whether to put this here or in the Show Yourself thread. But since it's not actually a picture of me, here it goes.
I don't think that I've mentioned this before, but I feed some of the feral cats in the neighborhood. Some are less feral than others and will let me get fairly close. Back around the beginning of February, one actually let me pet her so I nabbed her, figuring that she was a stray and that I'd return her to the owner or get her fixed. Nobody claimed her so I brought her to the vet a couple weeks later, but it was too late. She was already preggers and the vet expected her to have kittens in about 3 1/2 to 4 weeks.
5 1/2 weeks later, I brought her back and the vet gave her a X-ray. Turns out that he over-estimated because she's having six kittens. The new estimate was between Friday and Sunday.
She missed the deadline again.
But on Wednesday, she finally had some kittens.
I brought all of them to the vet today and they're all doing fine. Each of them are 4 1/2 ounces. The mother didn't especially like the weighing process because she first had each of her kittens separated from her individually and then was separated from all of them. She was awfully fidgety for the last which made it tough to weigh her. But she's been better behaved about the pet carrier than my other two cats. One is almost impossible to get into the carrier and they're both noisy throughout the whole car ride.
And these other two cats mean that mommy cat and the others are going to be staying in the guest bedroom when I'm not around. They haven't accepted her yet and I doubt they'll like her kittens any better.
